Must Have Player: Russell Wilson

Current ADP: 74th Overall

Russell Wilson is an obvious choice, but with his current ADP at around 74th overall depending on the league, (in super flex, he’s not making it out of the second round.) This could be a league winning pick. Before getting hurt last season, Wilson had back to back 4,000 yard seasons. So the question is, can Wilson get back to prime Wilson? Wilson had 2 exceptional receivers in Seattle, while Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy are good they are not that explosive duo, but the receiver room is much deeper than what he had in Seattle.  With Wilson, they should be much more fruitful for your fantasy team (combined 2 touchdowns last season) . Wilson should be a no-brainer with an improved O-line, young hungry receivers, and possibly the best running back duo in the league. He can win you your league, If he can get back to a 4,000-yard season with 33-39 touchdowns.

Must Have Player: Tua Tagovailoa

Current ADP: 129th Overall

First off the Dolphins have done everything they could to give Tua Tagovailoa a chance to be good. By adding offensive weapons, a new coach, and new offensive scheme under coach McDaniel, this team has potential.  With an average of 14 fantasy points for his first 2 years, his upside could be huge for your fantasy team. Tagovailoa had the best deep ball percentage and red zone completion percentage. He also had a completion rate of 67.8%, add in one of the best receivers in the league in Hill, and this could be your cheat code. In their first pre-season game together, we saw a 51-yard bomb to Hill and that could be a preview of the upcoming season. With a current ADP of 125, if you can grab Hill early and hope to get Tagovailioa later in the draft you may just become the smartest player in your league.

Must Have Player: Jalen Hurts

Current ADP: 60th Overall

Jalen Hurts finished QB8 last year and only threw for 3,144 yards. His 784 rushing yards were most among quarterbacks. He scored 10 rushing touchdowns. The Eagles added AJ Brown via trade from the Titans. DaVonte Smith is in year two, Dallas Goedert has become a top-tier redzone option and Kenny Gainwell might end up as the best Eagles running back and he’s an excellent pass catcher. Hurts has the 3rd best strength of schedule according to Fantasy Pros. He’s one of four quarterbacks that could throw for 4,000+ yards and rush for 1,000+. 35 total touchdowns plus 5,000+ total yards would make him a top 3 QB and maybe QB1 overall. Sign me up.

Must Have Player: Lamar Jackson

Current ADP: 47th Overall

Lamar Jackson has already done what we’re hoping Jalen Hurts can do. When Jackson was the QB1 in fantasy and won the NFL MVP in 2019, he had a measly 3,127 passing yards, but 1,206 rushing yards and 42 total touchdowns. His expected fantasy points were the highest of his career in 2021. He threw 37 or more passes in five of his 12 games last season. He did that in just four games over 2019-2020 combine. The Ravens threw 61% of the time last season. I don’t expect that, but the Ravens threw for the 9th most pass attempts per game in 2021 and were 12th over the last three seasons. J.K. Dobbins is still not 100%, Gus Edwards isn’t even in pads and Kenyan Drake lost his flare. Oh, I didn’t mention Mike Davis… intentionally. Lamar has burned us in relation to his draft cost over the last two seasons, but like Hurts, he could end up QB1 overall. Sign me up for him too.
