With some drafts in the books, we can start to use ADP as a guide toward future drafts. Today, we will look at WRs I believe are bargains at their current ADP. These are WRs you can probably wait to select based on where they are being drafted early in 2025. If you are like me, and my guys over at @RazzballNFL (Home – Razzball Fantasy Football), you are currently in the middle of your #SFB15 division draft while awaiting the RazzBowl7 draft happening at the end of July. If you have not signed up for RazzBowl7, please do so at the site. It is free and a great opportunity to test your fantasy football skills against some of the best in the business.
We are also adding a Razzball G-League and a Razzball Listeners League for those folks that are long-time readers and followers that we often see comment on our articles and/or those that pop into our podcasts, especially the Sunday Morning Start-Sit show during the regular season. WR Bargains
- Player: Davante Adams
- Team: Los Angeles Rams
- Current (early) ADP: WR17, Overall 40
Some will say Davante atop my list is based on my fan-boy love because he played for my Packers coming up in the league. This could not be more wrong. Let me give you one thing to consider when looking at this stud WR. Since 2016, Adams has only finished outside the Top 10 once. That season he finished WR16 with Jimmy G and Aidan O’Connell throwing him the football. Let that sink in. Now, he is in an offense that will probably be playing from behind because their defense is not good AND he has Matthew Stafford throwing him the football. Adams has not seen a hyper-target-type QB like Stafford during his career. Sure, he played with prime Aaron Rodgers, but AR12 spread the ball around. Stafford can (and will) get locked into WRs thus making Adams, the elite route runner with top tier hands, and Puka Nacua as stud WRs. Nacua would be on my list if not for his current WR6 ADP data. Grab your elite RB early and watch the top 15 ish WR go while you have your sights set on Davante who will almost certainly end the season in the top 12.
- Player: Mike Evans
- Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Current (early) ADP: WR19, Overall 42
You want 1,000+ yards and 10+ TDs? If so, lock in Mike Evans who is, once again, a touch undervalued at current ADP. I am looking at Evans ahead of names like Terry McLaurin and Garrett Wilson at this point. If you draft later this month or in August, do not be surprised if Evans becomes an even bigger value.
- Player: Chris Olave
- Team: New Orleans Saints
- Current (early) ADP: WR34, Overall 74
The chatter this off season surrounding the Saints is how bad will they be? Derek Carr’s sudden retirement shows a QB room consisting of rookie Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener. Not one of those names screams elite QB. Couple that QB room with an improving offensive division and you have the makings of a Saints team that will need to throw to stay in football games. Volume is key and Olave will see the majority of targets in this offense. Take the discount while others are drafting names like Calvin Ridley, Deebo Samuel, and Jauan Jennings.
- Player: Rome Odunze
- Team: Chicago Bears
- Current (early) ADP: WR39, Overall 82
As a Packers fan, I am normally not allowed to discuss positive aspects of the football team from Chicago. Alas, this is fantasy football, so all players are open for discussion. Second year ‘can’t miss QB’ plus second year, 1st round WR should be a recipe for success. Rumors out of training camp are that Odunze and Caleb Williams are building a rapport while DJ Moore (WR21, Overall 45) is falling behind in Ben Johnson’s new offense. Let someone else pay up for Moore while you take the Odunze discount almost 40 picks later.
- Player: Michael Pittman Jr / Josh Downs
- Team: Indianapolis Colts
- Current (early) ADP: WR49 / 47, Overall 110 / 108
Hear me out. Pittman had a WR44 finish with 111 targets with what some have labeled a ‘broken back’. That warrants some discussion, does it not? Since 2021, Pittman has registered 129, 141, 156, and 111 targets yet only eclipsed 100 receptions once (’23). The key, for me, is who will be under center for the Colts? Will it be ARich or Danny Dimes? Either way, the team will probably be trailing leading to passing opportunities. I am not sold on the Colts but can get behind a WR that appears fully healthy after a rough medical 2024. Josh Downs had a couple of monster games for a WR that went mostly undrafted in 2024 leagues. He put up seven top 24 WR weeks in 2024 with an odd QB room. Hopefully, the Colts coaching staff will choose a starter at QB and stick with that guy to build consistency with both Pittman Jr and Downs. For now, take this extreme discount to the bank.
