Razzball Dynamic Injury Report
Welcome to the future! Now you can feel as cool as everyone who has an iphone. What we are going to do is continually update this post to reflect the latest injury news for this Sunday. Basically we’re going to do all the work; you just have to hit the refresh button!
We are going to discuss all the players from Probable to Doubtful, shedding light on what we think their chances of playing are at the moment. As teams announce their active and inactive players before game time we will also update that.
Since Fantasy revolves around the offensive skill positions we are going to focus on that. We may sneak in a few key IDP or mention key offensive linemen whose status could affect quarterbacks, etc.
A note on players listed as Probable: we are going to assume that they will play so unless there’s something significant to report we won’t discuss them at length.
Arizona Cardinals
Doubtful: Mike Gandy (LT)
Questionable:
Kurt Warner – Earlier in the week it looked certain that he would play. He has continued to have symptoms throughout the week, however. In addition Mike Gandy, the Cardinals left tackle, is doubtful and will miss the game. Wait for more updates on this situation.
Tim Hightower – The extent of his thumb injury is unknown at this point. He is a surprise addition to the injury report. All reports indicate that he will play but if the thumb is really bothering him that won’t bode will in the passing game.
Neil Rackers – He has been Questionable for several weeks and he hasn’t missed a game. I wouldn’t be nervous about putting him in your lineup.
Atlanta Falcons
Out
Matt Ryan
Questionable
Michael Turner – He should really be listed under Doubtful. No one expects him to play.
Roddy White – He will start today.
Michael Jenkins – He missed practiced for the third day in a row on Friday. It’s looking more and more like he won’t play on Sunday. You shouldn’t be owning him in the first place but I digress.
Baltimore Ravens
Doubtful
Ed Reed – He didn’t look healthy at all last Sunday and has missed practice on several occasions this week. I wouldn’t expect him to play and if he does don’t expect a lot from him.
Probable
Joe Flacco – He will play, put it in the bank.
Buffalo Bills
No injuries to key players
Carolina Panthers
Out
Jake Delhomme
Questionable
DeAngelo Williams – He was on here last week and played so don’t expect him to miss this Sunday’s game.
Probable
Jonathan Stewart – Expect him to be active.
Chicago Bears
No injuries to key players
Cincinnati Bengals
Doubtful
Bernard Scott
Probable
Cedric Benson – This is great news for his owners (like myself). Expect him to return to his role as the main back in Cincinnati.
Laveranues Coles – He should play on Sunday.
Cleveland Browns
Out
Jamal Lewis – He was placed on Injured Reserve in case you’ve been hiding under a rock this week.
Probable
Chris Jennings – His shoulder is bothering him but he’s fully expected to play on Sunday. Jerome Harrison is officially listed as the starter which is a surprise. I would take a wait and see approach before putting either one of them in my lineup.
Dallas Cowboys
Probable
Tony Romo
Jason Witten
Denver Broncos
Probable
Eddie Royal
Kyle Orton
Detroit Lions
Probable
Matthew Stafford
Calvin Johnson
Green Bay Packers
Questionable
Ryan Grant – He has been limited in practice but is fully expected to play. The tough part about this is the Packers are playing on Monday Night so you’ll just have to roll the dice if you want him in your lineup.
Probable
Aaron Rodgers – Should be active for the game.
Houston Texans
Out
Jacoby Jones – Not injury related; Jones was late to a team meeting and was told not to bother travelling with the team for this Sunday’s game.
Steve Slaton – His neck injury kept him from being able to practice on Friday. He is NOT playing today.
Indianapolis Colts
Out
Donald Brown
Anthony Gonzalez
Adam Vinatieri
Questionable
Dwight Freeney
Probable
Peyton Manning
Joseph Addai
Reggie Wayne
Jacksonville Jaguars
Probable
Maurice Jones-Drew
Mike Sims-Walker
Kansas City Chiefs
Out
Kolby Smith
Doubtful
Dantrell Savage
Miami Dolphins
Probable
Ricky Williams
Minnesota Vikings
Questionable
Visanthe Shiancoe – Limited in practice this week but is fully expected to play
Chester Taylor – Ditto.
Probable
Adrian Peterson
Bernard Berrian
New England Patriots
Doubtful
Fred Taylor – He could be returning shortly (possibly as soon as next week). I’m not sure how valuable he can possibly be with Maroney playing so solidly as of late.
Questionable
Sammy Morris – Coach Belichick has said that Morris is looking healthier this week in practice. He is still a stash at this point so this weeks status shouldn’t matter that much to you.
Probable
Tom Brady
Benjamin Watson
New Orleans Saints
Questionable
Reggie Bush – He missed last weeks game and was limited in practice this week but Bush said emphatically that he will play on Sunday.
Probable
Mike Bell
Pierre Thomas
Jeremy Shockey
New York Giants
Out
Danny Ware – He has a concussion so consider this previously touted Sleeper dead weight on your roster from here on out.
Questionable
Ahmad Bradshaw – Fully expected to play this Sunday despite the nagging injuries he’s been dealing with. I would be very cautious about putting him in your lineup, however.
Probable
Eli Manning
New York Jets
Probable
Mark Sanchez – He’s lucky to have not sustained a worse injury due to his refusal to slide like a wussy. The PCL sprain shouldn’t keep him out of this contest but you shouldn’t be playing him in anything other than 2 quarterback leagues anyway.
Oakland Raiders
Probable
Justin Fargas
Philadelphia Eagles
Out
Kevin Curtis
Brian Westbrook
DeSean Jackson
Probable
Brent Celek – He practiced all week without limitations so don’t be nervous about the thumb issue. As an aside the Eagles inked him to a six year deal this week.
Jeremy Maclin – It’s nonsense for him to be listed on here in the first place. For those of you in return yard leagues it was announced that he will take over DeSean Jackson’s role as the punt returner.
Jason Avant – He really shouldn’t be listed on here either. Fully expect him to play and be productive.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Out
Troy Polamalu
Charlie Batch
Probable
Ben Roethlisberger
St. Louis Rams
Out
Mark Bulger
Questionable
Steven Jackson – Same issue as before (back spasms) but that didn’t stop him from ripping it up last week so I wouldn’t be hesitant about starting him.
San Diego Chargers
Out
Eric Weddle
Doubtful
Shawn Merriman
San Francisco 49ers
No injuries to significant players
Seattle Seahawks
Questionable
Justin Forsett – This is a huge blow to those of us hoping he’d remain the feature back in Seattle despite Julius Jones’ return.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Out
Michael Clayton
Probable
Kellen Winslow
Limited Participation in Practice
Carnell Williams – His knee has been bothering him but he is definitely going to play this weekend.
Tennessee Titans
No significant injuries to key players
Washington Redskins
Out
Clinton Portis
