I apologize for not being able to write an Ambulance Chasers last week — I was questionable going into Wednesday when I write this article, but it quickly turned to doubtful as the day went on. I tried going to my big boy job, but had to leave early Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I’m unfortunately and nerdily allergic to cough/cold medicines so every time I get sick it hits really hard and I just have to ride it out.

Robby Anderson, WR, Ankle: Anderson missed week 8 with this injury, but did play in week 9 with this injury. My take: Will play, bench him. Yea, the 27 fantasy point week 5 was pretty, but he’s had 20 points total in his three games since.

Peyton Barber, RB, Ankle: He was a limited participant with an ankle injury last Wednesday but he still played on Sunday. My take: Will play, flex if desperate. Barber has been extremely inconsistent, but if you are bye screwed then you can use Barber I guess.

Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Knee: It’s a shame what Benjamin’s career has become due to injuries. After breaking out with 1000+ receiving yards and 9 receiving TDs in his first year — it’s all been downhill. My take: Will play, bench him.

Giovani Bernard, RB, Knee: Hasn’t played since week 4 when Joe Mixon was injured himself now Bernard should return to a limited “new look” role for the Bengals. My take: Will play, bench him unless desperate. This should be a pass happy game for the Bengals against the Saints who are the worst team defending through the air. Maybe some PPR upside for Bernard.

Chris Carson, RB, Hip: Carson left his week 9 match-up with the other LA team, now he’s questionable against the Rams. The fact that he didn’t practice Wednesday, Pete Carroll said he’s “day-to-day” and that it is being called a nagging “soft tissue injury” casts some doubt on him for week 10. My take: Won’t play.

Jamison Crowder, WR, Ankle: Crowder hasn’t played since week 5 and hasn’t been IR-ed yet so I guess he has to play at some point soon right? With Paul Richardson done for the year and Jordan Reed in this column as well there is the possibility for Crowder to step back in and step up. My take: Will play, flex if necessary. Tampa Bay is awful against the pass and there are passes out that need catchin’ with a banged up receiving group.

Julian Edelman, WR, Ankle: I think this is just a 32 year old, 108 games played maintenance day for Edelman. My take: Will play, start him.

Mike Evans, WR, Knee: Let’s hope this was just a mental health day after Evans had one of the worst games of his career. Only 1 catch in 10 targets for 16 piddly yards. My take: Will play, start him.

Taylor Gabriel, WR, Knee: The early reports are that this injury is just soreness after he walked off the field in the 4th quarter of week 9. Heading into that week 9 game Gabriel was nursing this same injury so maybe there is a bit more to worry about here. My take: Will play, flex him if necessary. I’m nervous — but he did practice in some capacity on Wednesday. I’m also a little worried about his opponents, the Lions who’ve held wide receivers to the fewest passing yards on the season.

Jimmy Graham, TE, Knee: Oh please. My take: Will play, start him.

Kerryon Johnson, RB, Ankle: This has been an injury Kerryon has been dealing with most of the season, but he hasn’t missed a game yet. My take: Will play, start him.

Marlon Mack, RB, Ankle: With their week 9 bye, I’m thinking the Colts are just giving Mack as much rest as possible  so he fully recovers. My take: Will play, start him.

David Njoku, TE, Knee: Njoku has been questionable often this season, but he’s tough, he’s a hockey player. My take: Will play, start him.

Jordan Reed, TE, Back: I don’t want to jinx him, but Reed hasn’t missed a game all season. He’s barely had a TD catch all season, but that’s another story. My take: Will play, start him. His opponent the Buccaneers have allowed the most points to TEs this season

Mohamed Sanu, WR, Hip: Scroll through the news updates for Sanu and you’ll see (hip) everywhere. He hasn’t missed a single game this season due to the hip injury however. My take: Will play, flex him. The Browns have allowed the second most yards to WRs.

Kenny Stills, WR, Groin: Being that he played in week 9 after Adam Schefter originally reported that he wouldn’t — I think we’ll see Stills in this game. My take: Will play, flex him if necessary. Stills had 44 points in the first three games of the season, but has only averaged 5 points in the 5 games he’s played in since.

C.J. Uzomah, TE, Shoulder: Uzomah played in week 9 though you wouldn’t know it after he had 0 catches. Uzomah said he was going to take it easy at work this week to which I say “same.” My take: Will play, start him if you’re desperate at TE.

Sammy Watkins, WR, Foot: The injury report is that this injury isn’t serious and he’s expected to play. The fact that he had to get an MRI is a little concerning, but the rejuvenated Watkins should get the start. My take: Will play, start him. I think he’s just getting some extra time off.
