Sorry about missing last week! I highly doubt anyone was refreshing their browsers to see the week’s fantasy deep dive, but, nonetheless I am back. As we move toward fantasy playoffs and the seeding starts to shake out, this is a critical point for your fantasy teams. Fantasy Trade deadlines are fast approaching, while some may have already passed. Let’s take a look at some studs and duds you can take advantage of in your trade negotiations.
Mike Evans – FRAUD
The only list that Mike Evans should be at the top of, is the Most Frustrating Fantasy Players to Own List. In all seriousness though, Mike Evans just isn’t the superstar fantasy player that he is believed to be. He is extremely talented, but for fantasy purposes, overrated. As an owner I’d be trying to get off of this rollercoaster at the nearest stop. Evans carries great value in both re-draft and dynasty, and with trade deadlines coming to a close, teams can take advantage of the big name Evans carries.
Corey Davis – APPLAUD
We finally got the Corey Davis breakout game that we were waiting for. Davis was quietly one of the most targeted WR’s in the NFL but penalties and bad luck were holding back his touchdown production. Davis carries enormous upside while providing a huge floor week to week and should be a trade target before the deadlines pass.
Phillip Lindsay – FRAUD
This one is tricky. Calling Lindsay a fraud is wrong, but for fantasy purposes he may be. Lindsay is an amazing talent and is going to produce at the NFL level. However, it does seem that the back to own in Denver is Royce Freeman. In re-draft Lindsay is a great play, and may remain so for the rest of this season. In Dynasty I’m interested in moving him while he has value. If the situation in Denver changes, Lindsay immediately moves to applaud territory.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling – APPLAUD
After a quiet game in Seattle, the price on MVS shouldn’t be too high. MVS also provides a solid floor in an offense worth targeting players in. Scantling’s value is going to be on the rise so now is the time to buy in on him. He passes the eye test and should be the clear cut Number 2 in Green Bay. After Mike McCarthy gets shown the door at the end of this season, the entire offense should receive a boost. Opposing defenses won’t be able to tell if it’s a pass or run as easily, which is plaguing the fantasy production in Green Bay.
This is a new segment I’m going to introduce in an attempt to get fantasy gamers ahead of the curve on players that have value in a deep dynasty format. This is Dynasty Deep Dive after-all. Disclaimer: There will be a ton of misses in this section, but I will give you a player that I believe will potentially break out in the distant future.

Demetrius Harris –Tight End – Kansas City Chiefs
Demetrius is another athletic freak at the Tight End position. In a position that is violent and full of injuries, it’s worth scooping up Harris on the large rosters of a dynasty league. If anything happens to Kelce he will be able to produce at a high level.
