Week 2 across the NFL provided us with some exhilarating plays, underdog victories, and, unfortunately, injuries are a weekly reality. I recently moved to Atlanta and thoroughly enjoyed attending the Falcons hosting the Packers live this Sunday in Atlanta. So, these two risers are from a real-time vantage from my perspective at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Player: Jayden Reed

Previous Rank: 118

Current: 99

Reed has seen increased playing time due to Christian Watson being ruled out the last two weeks due to a hamstring injury. In Week 2, Reed saw 56% of snaps, compiling eight targets for four receptions, 37 receiving yards, and two TDs. Reed looked more explosive on the eye test alone than fellow receivers Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks. What Reed has displayed in the first couple of weeks cements him as the team’s WR3 at worst, and he has the potential to slot in as WR2. 65.8% of his snaps have come from the slot, averaging 2.24 yards per route run and receiving a PFF grade of 75.1. Green Bay has a bye week in Week 6 and a semi-soft schedule versus the pass in matchups ahead.

Stance: Looking to acquire in all builds. Reed’s early season flashes are signs of bigger things to come. I’d quickly throw out a mid-early 2024 2nd rounder for Reed.

Player: Bijan Robinson

Previous Rank: 9

Current Rank: 8

Bijan Robinson is setting the NFL ablaze with efficiency, power, speed, and finesse. Watching him play in person last week was an absolute delight, and he looked like the best player on the field immediately. I observed Robinson’s vision, burst, lateral cutting ability, and patience on full display. In his only two starts in his young career, Bijan has amassed 180 yards on 29 carries (6.2 YPC), 75 receiving yards catching 10 of 11 targets, and one receiving TD. Robinson also boasts seven explosive rushes (<10 yards), seven forced missed tackles, and 3.97 yards after contact. PFF has graded him overall 86.1 and 89 for rushing alone. Most of you don’t need me to tell you that Bijan is a dominant, transcendent talent. I bumped him up a little in the rankings and wanted to share my impression of watching him play.

Stance: Firm hold if you have him, massive price tag if you are in the market. The price tag at a starting point is two 2024 1sts plus a startable player who is a proven asset, at least a WR2/RB2.

Player: Najee Harris

Previous Rank: 52

Current Rank: 62

Najee has looked awful this year, as has the entire Steelers offense, outside of some circus catches from George Pickens. Harris only saw six rushing attempts for 31 yards and only two yards on two catches. Week one was an outlier as the Steelers got throttled early on, and the game script played a crucial part in Harris seeing only six rushes. His snap share has stayed within 57% in 2023. In 2022, Najee averaged a 65.1% snap share and a 69.9% opportunity share. Jaylen Warren has looked far more explosive, and his efficiency is through the rough compared to Najee’s plodding style thus far. Steelers Offensive Coordinator Matt Canada is about to be out of a job soon. This offense looks hapless and needs an overhaul. PFF has Harris graded out with a 58.7 overall rating.

Stance: There is a better time to try and move Harris. Wait until he has a couple of good games to trade away. I am just holding teams that roster Najee and hoping for a new OC in Pittsburgh. Go for it if you can acquire Harris on the cheap from a panicking manager.
