This week in the 2024 Top 150 PPR Rankings, we discuss five things we learned while researching players over the past few weeks. As of today, we have reviewed in detail roughly 60 players so the rankings are fair from complete. I know this is a stunning omission, but it’s only June, and I promise by the time draft season rolls around this Top 150 will be ready to roll.
Some of the latest news has begun to roll in from OTAs, and some updates have inspired ranking changes. However, many changes have incorporated things that happened before OTAs including coaching and personal changes. Either way, these rankings are fluid, and we will continue to update daily so make sure to check out the Top 150 PPR Ranking chart daily here!
Five Things You Need To Know!
- Player: Jonathon Brooks (RB)
- Team: Carolina Panthers
- Overall Ranking: 92 (ADP 94)
Since 2019, nine running backs have been drafted in the early to mid 2nd round. On average those running backs scored 12.8 PPR PPG in their rookie season. That production would have been good for RB24 in 2023.
Unfortunately, Brooks suffered an ACL in his last season in college. This is why we won’t be drafting him as an RB2, but we still value at his ADP.
- Player: Zack Moss (RB)
- Team: Cincinnati Bengals
- Overall Ranking: 74 (ADP 95)
Once Chase Brown emerged in Week 13, Joe Mixon saw his RB rush share drop from 91% to 69%. However, the Bengals averaged over 22 carries per game in 2023. This means even with that rush share dip, Zack Moss could see roughly 15 attempts per week.
Moss shined as a fill-in starter for Jonathan Taylor for the Colts last season, so we will continue to be aggressive on him in 2024!
- Player: D’Andre Swift (RB)
- Team: Chicago Bears
- Overall Ranking: 81 (ADP 76)
D’Andre Swift might not see a big drop-off moving to the Bears. In 2023, the Bears’ running backs outscored the Eagles’ running backs in PPR. The Bears also made major improvements to the offense. This includes bringing in Caleb Williams, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze.
Finally, former Seahawks OC Shane Waldron will be running the show this season. Historically, the Seahawks have featured an RB1. Swift’s role last season with the Eagles profiles well with the type of role Kenneth Walker played under Waldron. The role helped Walker produced Top 24 RB numbers last season.
- Player: Zamir White (RB)
- Team: Las Vegas Raiders
- Overall Ranking: 59 (ADP 77)
Last season once Antonio Pierce took over as Head Coach for the Raiders, the starting RB averaged 21 attempts per game. This includes 4 games where White averaged 15.2 PPR PPG.
With Josh Jacobs gone, and Pierce calling new Raiders running back Alexander Mattison “depth”, White has a clear path to the RB1 role. This role could push him to see nearly 300 carries if he stays healthy in 2024.
- Player: Rhamondre Stevenson (RB)
- Team: New England Patriots
- Overall Ranking: 67 (ADP 66)
If Jacoby Brissett keeps the QB1 job for the 1st half of 2024, Rhamondre Stevenson could be a value at his ADP. Back in 2022, under new Patriots offensive Coordinator Alex Van Pelt, Brissett started 11 games for the Browns. In those 11 games, Nick Chubb averaged just under 20 touches a game and was the RB4 in fantasy.
Granted, we don’t expect the same level of production from Stevenson, but knowing this duo can produce a Top 5 running back to an extended stretch of the season should give us confidence he can be an RB2 for fantasy football this season.
