Congratulations! You made it to the playoffs! But the grind doesn’t stop here as we cover all the best Week 15 streamers and playoff stashes.

To keep things simple, we’ll define a streamer as any player you wouldn’t usually start who is a viable option for this week. They may be on your bench or they may be on waivers, depending on your league. We’ll define a stash as any player you can probably find on waivers that you should stash for the future, either because they have a favorable match-up coming up, or because they could become a future fantasy starter.

I’ll also be reporting my streamer record from the season to date above each section, to give you an idea of what to expect. Strong finishes mean top third of starters at the position, moderate means the top half of starters and a bust is anyone else.

QB Streamers (15 strong, 6 moderate, 8 bust):

  • Player: Tua Tagovailoa
  • Matchup: Texans

Tua Tagovailoa is on a tear with four consecutive top ten fantasy finishes, averaging over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns over the last month. This week, the Dolphins face a top ten quarterback matchup in the Texans and this game has shootout written all over it. I’m backing Tua as my playoff savior.

  • Player: Brock Purdy
  • Matchup: Rams

Brock Purdy finally looks healthy again, with the 49ers tearing a strong Bears defense to shreds in Week 14. With the 49ers now down four running backs, they’ll likely turn to their passing game even more heavily against the weak Rams secondary. This is a solid week to start Purdy, as he seems to have recaptured some of his mid-season magic.

QB Stash:

  • Player: Baker Mayfield
  • Matchup: Chargers

It’s difficult to start Baker Mayfield in a tough matchup against the Chargers, but he has two top five quarterback matchups around the corner so if you can get to Week 16, Baker will take you the rest of the way.

RB Streamers (25 strong, 13 moderate, 8 bust):

  • Player: Patrick Taylor
  • Matchup: Rams

Isaac Guerendo appears unlikely to play on Thursday, making Patrick Taylor the new 49ers starting running back. It’s impossible to know what this looks like, but San Fran has been willing to lean on Guerendo, Jordan Mason and Christian McCaffrey in the past, so why not Taylor? There’s naturally some risk with Israel Abanikanda and Ke’Shawn Vaughn both sniffing around, plus a free agent acquisition isn’t out of the question. But my money is on Taylor to star this week.

  • Player: Zach Charbonnet
  • Matchup: Packers

At the time of writing, Kenneth Walker appears unlikely to play in Week 15, with a setback indicated. The Packers are best attacked on the ground so it could be another big outing for Week 14’s RB1 Zach Charbonnet after his career day against the Cardinals.

  • Player: Braelon Allen
  • Matchup: Jaguars

This is another big question mark, but at this stage it seems Breece Hall is out for Week 15. If that remains the case, I’d expect a big day for Braelon Allen against the Jaguars. The Jets should get an early lead and Allen is the preferred rushing back, while Isaiah Davis takes the passing downs. Allen comes with plenty of risk, but the upside is certainly there if New York can control possession.

RB Stashes:

  • Player: Sincere McCormick
  • Matchup: Falcons

Starting an inexperienced running back in a tough matchup with an unclear role in the fantasy playoffs isn’t a risk I’m willing to take. But in a non-PPR or half-PPR league, Sincere McCormick seems like a solid stash as he’s been the Raiders’ best runner so far this season. He’s unlikely to get much passing down work and it’s unclear what impact the return of Alexander Mattison will have, but Weeks 16 and 17 bring two excellent rushing matchups where the Raiders could have the lead. This could make McCormick the Zamir White of 2024.

Running backs get injured more than any other player in fantasy, with the average Top 36 running back missing two games per season in fantasy. For that reason, your best bet in fantasy is to roster running backs who are an injury away from an every-down role. Each week, I’ll be listing my favorite RB stashes, only including players you won’t be starting most weeks.

Top Handcuffs: Tyler Allgeier, Blake Corum, Ray Davis, Kareem Hunt, Trey Benson, Tyjae Spears, Devin Singletary, Cam Akers, Roschon Johnson

WR Streamers (15 strong, 13 moderate, 15 bust):

  • Player: DJ Moore
  • Matchup: Vikings

DJ Moore was a sit for me last week but I’m expecting a bounce back against the league’s best receiving matchup in the Vikings. In Week 12, Moore pumped Minnesota for 106 yards and a touchdown. I think a repeat performance is very much on the cards.

  • Player: Jaylen Waddle
  • Matchup: Texans

A few weeks ago, I called my shot on Jaylen Waddle, suggesting he’s a guy you’ll definitely want for the fantasy playoffs. He unexpectedly went off a little bit early though, going for nearly 300 yards and a score over the last three weeks. He now gets a top five WR matchup against the Texans and could easily put up big points for you during fantasy wildcard weekend.

  • Player: Adam Thielen
  • Matchup: Cowboys

Fine, I give in, I’m doing it. I’m getting on the Adam Thielen rollercoaster. Yes, I know there’s plenty of risk. Not only nausea or death, but also the likely return of usual slot receiver Jalen Coker. But friend, I need to feel that rush of a dozen targets and 100 yards like the last two weeks. If you’re in a PPR league, join me on the ride. It’s dangerous but it could be fun!

WR Stashes:

  • Player: Brian Thomas Jr
  • Matchup: Jets

Over the last three weeks, Brian Thomas Jr has 244 yards from 29 targets, making him a tempting start in Week 15. But if possible, I’m avoiding him in the league’s toughest receiver matchup against the Jets. Yes, the Dolphins made the Jets look easy. But that was without Sauce Gardner. Assuming Sauce returns, Thomas remains a stash for me this week.

  • Player: Jordan Addison
  • Matchup: Bears

Jordan Addison is amazingly the WR16 in half-PPR on the season! But gosh, I don’t want to risk him against a tight Bears secondary in Week 15. But come Week 16 he’s back in play so I’m stashing him for now.

  • Player: Christian Watson
  • Matchup: Seahawks

I’m looking forward to the fantasy finale in Week 17 (assuming you’re not playing in Week 18 like a crazy person) and I’m thinking upside. Who is facing the league’s best WR matchup? It’s the Packers! Who has all the upside in that team? Why it must be Christian Watson! While a donut is always on the cards for the boom-bust X receiver, I love the idea of playing Watson against the Vikings in my fantasy super bowl. So, I’m stashing him for now and seeing what impact Romeo Doubs has on his snaps.

TE Streamers (9 strong, 6 moderate, 13 bust):

  • Player: Tucker Kraft
  • Matchup: Seahawks

Tucker Kraft is the TE6 on the season and yet he’s available in nearly half of leagues. This makes no sense to me. If you’re struggling even slightly at tight end, Kraft is a fantastic option.

  • Player: Jake Ferguson
  • Matchup: Panthers

The Panthers have conceded the most points to tight ends this season and Jake Ferguson has returned to his usual high-snap role. While CeeDee Lamb was the passing game focus in Week 14, I expect Ferguson to get that treatment this weekend so he’s a solid upside play, especially in PPR leagues.

TE Stash:

  • Player: Dalton Kincaid
  • Matchup: Lions

I can’t trust Dalton Kincaid in his first week back when the league’s toughest tight end matchup is on the schedule. But come Week 16, Kincaid could be a real asset to have, so I’m stashing him early just in case.

K Streamers (15 strong, 7 moderate, 6 bust):

  • Player: Ka’imi Fairbairn
  • Matchup: Dolphins

Ka’imi Fairbairn is the K2 on the season and this week he gets the league’s second best kicking matchup against the Dolphins. Coming off his bye week, he’s available in a lot of leagues and he’s a must-start kicker for me. I’ll likely rank him as my K1 this week.

  • Player: Will Reichard
  • Matchup: Bears

Will Reichard was a great fantasy asset before his brief IR stint, and even then, Parker Romo took over the Vikings kicking duties and looked good. But Reichard is now back and gets a top ten matchup against the Bears. He a strong start this week.

DST Streamers (20 strong, 1 moderate and 7 bust):

  • Player: Baltimore Ravens DST
  • Matchup: Giants

The Ravens were the first DST off the board in many drafts but they’re the DST24 on the season. This is just further evidence as to why you should stream DSTs rather than drafting them early. But this week, in the fantasy playoffs, the Ravens are finally a viable option again, as they face the insipid Giants offense.

  • Player: New York Jets DST
  • Matchup: Jaguars

Oh look, another early-drafted DST who busted this season! So as not to risk getting vertigo from my soap box, I’ll just say that this is the week to start the Jets, as they face Mac Jones and the awful Jaguars.

Note: Other solid DSTs include the Commanders if Derek Carr doesn’t play and the Bengals against the Titans.

Please note I won’t be listing any kicker or DST stashes as you should never roster more than one of either of these positions.

If no Carr, Jets or Redskins?
    Reichard or Lutz?

    Leaning the latter on both

    LFG playoffs!

I’d go Washington DST if Carr is out and I prefer Reichard though both are viable.

      Good luck!

I’m between Winston, Stroud and Stafford . Will the rain affect the browns game ? And stroud has been underperforming

    • Ben Wasley says:

I’d go with Stroud myself. I don’t feel great about any of them but Stroud is, I think, the best bet of the three.
