We’re back! If you missed it, here are my Top 10 Dynasty Rankings for Quarterbacks. Plus you can find my full rankings here.
Note: These rankings assume a neutral approach, where short-term success is roughly equal to a long-term focus. Naturally, if you are trying to win now, older players will usually offer more value than listed here, with younger players offering less. And if you’re focussing on a rebuild, the converse is true. Hit me up in the comments below or on my socials if you have any questions.
- Jaxson Dart (NYG)
We saw Jaxson Dart’s tremendous potential this season. He ran for over 50 yards in half of his games and offered serious touchdown upside, with multiple scores in all but two of his starts. But it’s also worth remembering that fantasy production is not the same as quality quarterbacking. I’m not convinced Dart is actually that good and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s a backup within a few years. The upside is huge for fantasy if he gets it all together, but his floor is low too.
- Brock Purdy (SF)
I don’t rate Brock Purdy at all. I think he’s an average quarterback in a great system, surrounded by a lot of talented players. In good matchups, in the near future, he’ll give you some huge boom weeks on the back of his touchdown upside. But with Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle nearing retirement, Jauan Jennings a free agent and Brandon Aiyuk likely out the door, it’s tough to see Purdy being fantasy relevant long-term without a huge investment in offensive firepower by the team.
- Bo Nix (DEN)
I’m also not a big fan in Bo Nix’s talent. But he’s surrounded by a lot of good players in a very effective offensive system that plays to his strengths. He offers a solid fantasy floor and his youth gives you hope of another decade of solid production. His injury is a little disconcerting but ankles usually recover fine, so I expect him to return to normal at some stage in 2026.
- Dak Prescott (DAL)
Dak Prescott has been consistently excellent for fantasy, though his significant injuries every second season (it’s like clockwork) have hidden that a little. It remains to be seen if he can continue to offer high-end fantasy production without George Pickens though. If Pickens re-signs, Prescott will likely finish in the Top 10 for the next few years. If he doesn’t though, I could see the 33-year-old fading into fantasy obscurity sooner rather than later.
- Jared Goff (DET)
The Lions were disappointing this year, but Jared Goff remained Jared Goff. He’s still a solid Top 12 option with limited true upside. His age remains a concern but in a win-now team, he’s someone you can bank on for the next few years at least.
- Baker Mayfield (TB)
Baker Mayfield was very poor in the latter half of 2025, with 9 interceptions in his final 8 games. That was with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Jalen McMillan, Emeka Egbuka and Cade Otton mostly healthy too. It’s a bad sign of his fantasy floor moving forward. He might still have some good seasons in him and is certainly worth rostering, but I’m not banking on him.
- CJ Stroud (HOU)
I didn’t understand the CJ Stroud hype after his rookie season and I’m bamboozled that after three seasons of mediocrity, some are still excited by him. He’s a functional NFL quarterback who, despite an impressive cadre of pass catchers, finished as the QB21 this season. He has the upside of being a solid system QB, but that’s rarely ideal for fantasy.
- Jordan Love (GB)
I believe that Malik Willis showed us that the Packers are good, but Jordan Love isn’t. He’s a functional system QB in a very good system, and that only has limited value in dynasty.
- Michael Penix (ATL)
The Falcons have all the pieces necessary to be a solid football team. Is Kevin Stefanski the guy to bring it all together? Maybe. Will that make Michael Penix a fantasy stud? I very much doubt it. I believe he’s far more likely to bust than boom long-term.
- Sam Darnold (SEA)
The Seahawks are fantastic, Sam Darnold is not. He’s a functional quarterback who offers little fantasy viability outside of the occasional boom week in the right matchups.
- Bryce Young (CAR)
Bryce Young finally started to show something late in 2025. It rarely amounted to significant fantasy production, but it’s enough to feel good about him as a superflex asset moving forward.
- Cam Ward (TEN)
I don’t really have any major issues with Cam Ward as an NFL starter, but I do have issues with him as a fantasy starter. The Titans look years away from being an explosive NFL offense and Ward doesn’t have the rushing floor to get excited about. He’s certainly a hold, especially in a rebuild and in superflex, but I don’t see many Top 10 seasons in his future.
- Kyler Murray (ARI)
I have no idea what to do with Kyler Murray. A part of me wants to dismiss him entirely. But he’s a former QB1 on the right side of 30 with high-end rushing ability and a solid arm. Heck, he was the QB11 in 2024. I can’t believe he’s washed, but I also don’t have confidence in him becoming a reliable fantasy asset again.
- Tyler Shough (NO)
After a solid rookie season, Tyler Shough is a hold in superflex and deeper dynasty leagues. He had three Top 10 finishes through the last five weeks and will hopefully get a second quality pass catcher for his sophomore season. But he’s already 27 and his upside is capped, so I’m not getting overly excited.
- JJ McCarthy (MIN)
You have Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, TJ Hockenson and Aaron Jones and you do THAT?! JJ McCarthy was my biggest disappointment this season. I did feel he was a reach in the 2024 draft, but I still thought he was good enough to be an NFL starter. I’m now not so sure. But the upside is there so in a rebuild, he’s a hold too.
- Daniel Jones (FA)
Remarkably our first true free agent on the list! If Daniel Jones goes back to the Colts, I have hopes for his fantasy prospects. But I could just as easily see him going elsewhere as a bridge QB and that fear moves him well down my rankings.
- Matthew Stafford (LAR)
The definition of a win-now quarterback. Matthew Stafford had the best fantasy season of his career, but he’s not got many years in him. He’s the perfect weapon for anyone wanting to get the most out of a stud team that’s about to fall apart.
- Jacoby Brissett (ARI)
He’s 34 years old this season, but I can’t discount Jacoby Brissett’s nine consecutive Top 12 finishes last season. He could easily be the Cardinals starter next year and provide low end QB1 value with Marvin Harrison at the forefront. Or he could be a backup we never hear from again.
- Tua Tagovailoa (MIA)
Tua Tagovailoa was awful last season, but so were the Dolphins. Mike McDaniel’s system got found out and it all fell apart, leading to the starter’s benching. Can Tua rebound? I like him and believe if he can stay healthy, a Baker Mayfield-like rebound is on the cards. But can he stay healthy? We’ll have to wait and find out.
- Malik Willis (FA)
I am not at all excited about Malik Willis’s brief foray into Packers quarterbacking stardom. We’ve already established that system is a good one for mediocre talents. But I also think, like with Justin Fields last year, someone will give Willis a chance either as a bridge QB or as a veteran starter in a rebuilding team. The Dolphins are an obvious name thanks to the Green Bay links of their coaching staff, but he could end up in any of a dozen other places. Until that happens, I’m not moving him any higher. I just don’t believe in the talent.
- Deshaun Watson (CLE)
Three Top 6 fantasy finishes can’t be totally discounted. Deshaun Watson’s a dynasty hold in deeper leagues.
- Justin Fields (NYJ)
If he finds a place in a functional team, he’ll have some serious upside due to his rushing floor. That’s unlikely, but in some very deep leagues, you need to roster speculative options. And Justin Fields is high on that list.
- Shadeur Sanders (CLE)
I’m not buying it at all. Shadeur Sanders is not a good quarterback and he’s stuck with a bad organization. This is a recipe for disappointment.
- Marcus Mariota (FA)
Marcus Mariota looked solid at times for the Commanders and is likely high on the list of bridge QBs this season.
- Aaron Rodgers (FA)
A return to Pittsburgh with Mike McCarthy looks possible, if only for one year. If every starter has value in your league, Rodgers is still worth rostering.
- Quinn Ewers (MIA)
He wasn’t good, but he may still start next year. So if you’re still reading, Quinn Ewers may have some value.
- Mac Jones (SF)
The league’s top true backup, I believe in the system and I think it’s not impossible Mac Jones takes over from Brock Purdy on merit one day.
- Anthony Richardson (IND)
If he ever gets another chance to start (possible but very unlikely) Anthony Richardson will be a fantasy starter.
- Geno Smith (LV)
Geno Smith may, MAY, get a chance to play some snaps for a few games before Fernando Mendoza starts. But I doubt it.
- Jameis Winston (NYG)
If he ever gets another chance to play, and it’s always possible, Jameis Winston could easily be a fantasy weapon again. He’s so explosive and so entertaining that he’s worth rostering just in case.
