Donkey Teeth is back from his vacation and the guys are ready to talk about the happenings in week 8. Injuries lead the way with Derrick Henry, Kyler Murray, and Jameis Winston, among others, are going to miss games. We talk about the replacement options for Henry and what we’re doing with the weapons in Arizona and New Orleans. DT gets to go back on his Taysom Hill soap box, and you might be surprised where he has him rest of the season.

We then talk about some of the big performers from week 8. Justin Fields had a big day without Matt Nagy there to ruin things. Michael Pittman has become a legitimate starting WR. Would the guys rather have Michael Carter or Elijah Mitchell? We finish up with the usual, everyone’s favorite section, a$$hole of the week!

Get Up, Get On Up

  • In his first action with the Cardinals, Zach Ertz had a 49% snap rate.
  • Cordarrelle Patterson’s snap rate continues to climb with a season high 73%.
  • Rashod Bateman took the 2nd most snaps for the Ravens at WR with 63%.
  • Tommy Tremble has back to back weeks at over a 50% snap rate.
  • Khalil Herbert saw 77% of the snaps compared to Damien Williams 17%.  If you have to start a Bears RB, it’s Khalil Herbert.
  • Without Nick Chubb or Kareem Hunt, D’Ernest Johnson saw 69% of snaps. Unfortunately, with Nick Chubb likely back this week, it was a short run for D’Ernest as the primary back in Cleveland.
  • Kalif Raymond has lead the Lions in WR snap count the last 2 weeks.
  • For the first time all season, Jonathan Taylor had 70% of the snaps for the Colts.
  • Van Jefferson saw a season high 95%  snap rate in week 7.
  • Michael Carter had a season high 73% snap rate this week! FWIW, he’s the RB1 for the J-E-T-S.
  • Dallas Goedert, 94% snap rate. O yeah, baby!

B_Don is back from Vegas and he brought in JB Barry to fill in while DT is stuck out there paying debts off to the Vegas cashiers. I wonder what is harder, the recovery after 4 days in Vegas or surviving Bye-mageddon?

We run through positions starting with the signal callers. We talk about where we are on Tua for the rest of the season. Then, we talk about who currently falls into our QB5 spot in dynasty. On a much shorter timeline, we talk about what we’re doing with Aaron Rodgers this week sans Davante Adams and Allen Lazard.

We move on to RBs with some of the more intriguing time split situations Elijah Mitchell, Damien Harris,  Kenneth Gainwell, and Myles Gaskin. We wrap up the show with some TE talk where we discuss the former Eagles duo of Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz. Finally, we wrap up with a discussion about Mike Gesicki and what his value looks like over the ROS.

On the precipice of bye week Armageddon, B_Don and Donkey Teeth take a look at some of the ugly RB situations that some of us may have to wade into this week, such as the Browns without Nick Chubb or Kareem Hunt. Jalen Hurts swings from dynasty jewel to must sell depending on who you talk to, but where do DT and B_Don sit on the subject? Speaking of controversial young QBs, Tua Tagovailoa came back this week and reports are just as varying on him. Beyond what we think about Tua, it could be good for his rookie WR, Jaylen Waddle. The guys go on to  discuss the Seattle WRs without Russ, Jonathan Taylor, Darrel Williams, and A.J. Brown.

Movin’ On Up

  • Cordarrelle Patterson saw a season high 59% snap rate to go along with all of his production to start the year.
  • Latavius Murray has lead the Ravens RBs in snaps for back to back weeks with 63% and 51%.
  • In what went from AFC ‘Ship Preview to blowout quickly (so to speak with a rain delay in the middle of it), Zack Moss had 74% of the snaps.
  • While Damien Williams got the score, it was Khalil Herbert that lead the Bears in snaps without David Montgomery available, and he saw 53% of the snaps in week 5.
  • For back to back weeks, D’Andre Swift has seen higher than 70% snaps.
  • With no Amendola, Chris Moore was the WR3 for the Texans this week at 63%. Could be something to monitor if they move Brandin Cooks.
  • After seeing only 32% of snaps in his first appearance since being acquired in week 4, Dan Arnold saw 74% of the snaps in week 5 for the Jags.
  • With Will Fuller and DeVante Parker out in week 5, Preston Williams saw 74% of the snaps and was 2nd on the team to only Jaylen Waddle.
  • Sans Dalvin Cook, the Vikings gave 66% to Alexander Mattison and 18% to Ameer Abdullah while using C.J. Ham more to block with a season high 48%.
  • Devine Ozigbo saw the 2nd most snaps for the Saints at RB with a whopping 13%.
  • Kenny Still saw a season high 71% of the snaps in week 5.
  • Devontae Booker saw 91% of the snaps with Saquon leaving early.
  • Quez Watkins was 2nd on the team in snaps for the first time all season, behind only DeVonta Smith.
  • Miles Sanders saw a season high 76% snap rate in week 5.
  • Alex Collins got 71% of the snaps without Chris Carson available for the Saints. DeeJay Dallas (22%) and Travis Homer (12%) split the remaining work.
  • Elijah Mitchell saw 68% of the RB snaps for the 49ers. No other RB (Kyle Juszczyk is a FB) saw more than 5%.

B_Don and Donkey Teeth are back to discuss some of the 2021 breakout players. We discuss all sorts of players from those that may have jumped to the elite tier or players that we didn’t see coming. Then, we discuss their value over the rest of the season and discuss where they rank at their position and whether or not you should be selling.

We start with a couple big injuries to Russell Wilson and Saquon Barkley. We move on to some RBs and we look at Austin Ekeler, Cordarrelle Patterson, Aaron Jones, Jonathan Taylor, and Michael Carter. We also discuss the likely high priority waiver claims this week in Darrel Williams and Devontae Booker.

We continue our breakout discussion with wide receivers. Nobody has climbed like Mike Williams and Deebo Samuel. Rookie sensation Ja’Marr Chase hasn’t disappointed, but do the guys think he keeps it up? We also talk about what we expect from another hot pickup of the week in Kadarius Toney. We wrap up the show with some thoughts on tight ends. Is it finally Kyle Pitts SZN and where does he fit among TEs? What about the TD making Dawson Knox? And we discuss whether it’s time to panic on Darren Waller.

ARI

  • Some things stay the same
    • All 4 weeks, it has been DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Green, Christian Kirk, and then Rondale Moore, in that order.
    • For 3 weeks, Chase Edmonds has been right around 65% snap rate. Chase Edmonds did get 2 carries inside the 10 this week, unfortunately, James Conner got 5.

ATL

  • The Curious Case of Cordarrelle
    • Cordarrelle Patterson snap rate was on the rise in week 3 reaching 42%. Unfortunately, in week 4 it dropped to 31%. Even without a high snap rate, he’s averaging 12 touches across the last 3 games.

With the 17 game season this year, we’ll hit the quarter mark of games around the first quarter of the games this week. Seems like as good of a time as any to take a look at what has happened so far this season and where we went wrong or right. One in particular is our pre-season and current Ezekiel Elliott ranking. Among other surprises this season, Cordarrelle Patterson and Sam Darnold stand near the top of biggest over performers based on draft ranking.

We look at some of the injuries from week 4 and how they may play out ROS. From the Chicago and Cincinnati RB situations to the Jacksonville WR room, the week 4 injuries could have meaningful impacts on several players. We also discuss the rookie QBs and where we’re at on them for week 5 and beyond. As always, we wrap up with our A$$hole of the Week.

B_Don and Donkey Teeth are back to discuss the happenings from week 2 and look forward into week 3, AND BEYOND. We start with some Justin Fields talk as he takes the starting job for DA BEARS.

The guys take a look at some of the more confusing time shares in fantasy football. What to do with messy RB situations like Dallas, LA Rams, and Baltimore. We also look into the WR groups for the Rams, Ravens, Vikings, 49ers, and Broncos. The guys also spend about 20 minutes discussing Tyler Lockett and the consistency of WRs week to week. Ryder die this week!

Nothing quite like week 1. Wings, beer, football, o crap, I’m starting to sound like a BW3 commercial. Of course, after week 1, we have the crazy over reactions that accompany our first set of real data from results on the field. To help you make those tough calls, I’m going to break down player and team snaps each week, and hopefully give you a better idea who is for real and who was just a 1 week pop up. I’m still playing with the format, so if you like this or don’t like it, let me know in the comments. If you want to see all snap counts Tuesday morning when I start looking at them, you can always sign up for the Razzball subscription.

B_Don and Donkey Teeth discuss the happenings from week 1. We discuss the fallout from the Ryan Fitzpatrick injury for all of the WFT weapons. Does it help anyone potentially or is just an all around loss? Podcast favorite Jerry Jeudy is going to miss some time as well, and we talk about who our priority is among Tim Patrick and K.J. Hamler. The 49ers RB situation was already a mess and with the season ending Raheem Mostert injury, how do the guys think the backfield plays out for the rest of the season? The guys take a look at some of the pickups for the week and where we would have our priorities.

We then move on to talk about some of the surprises from week 1. Austin Ekeler with 0 receptions and the shocking healthy scratches for Trey Sermon and Zack Moss. Speaking of complicated RB situations, the guys look at how they expect the Ravens backfield to play out. We then discuss some of the studs and duds from week 1 and whether we’re moving them around in our rest of season rankings. We finish the show with everyone’s favorite, A**hole of the week!
