We have two new starting quarterbacks this week and we really only wanted to see one of them. Am I complaining about the Giants benching Eli? No. Eli hasn’t played well for a while and Evan Engram and co. dropping easy passes isn’t doing him any favors either. I would be more excited about the Jimmy Garappolo roll out if Pierre Garcon was healthy. Marquise Goodwin isn’t enough for Garappolo to be a fantasy relevant quarterback this season. Although, if Garappolo is able to open things up and move the ball a little bit I think that it helps Carlos Hyde find the end zone a little easier…

This week, I am a little short on time and have to start writing a lot later (by five hours) than I usually do. Instead of going game by game this week, I am going to go point by point and try to cover as many players as I can. Next week, you can look forward to the regular structure of this post. I hope that everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving free from food poisoning, political arguments, and deep-seated tension that you could cut with the knife that you buttered your Thanksgiving rolls with.

Happy early Thanksgiving Razzball folks! Be grateful, it’s the only Thursday of the football season that we get THREE games. I’m thankful for the tradition as old as I can remember. What’s that, MB? All of the fantastic food and starting drinking before noon? No, I often start drinking before noon, it’s called a Bloody Mary, and it’s nutritious. I’m talking about watching the terrible-but-recently-turned-bearable franchise, the Detroit Lions start the day off and then following it with rooting against the Cowboys. You can ignore your family and their political arguments and bury yourself in the one thing that truly matters to you, making the fantasy playoffs! Before we get to the rankings, I have to make a few things clear…

After this Nathan Peterman performance, we are going to have a really fun special edition of the Razzblitz podcast this week with Viz and Reid joining us. Be sure to check it out, we will have it out by Wednesday at the latest. We had some really fun football on Sunday that included two overtime finishes. Let’s go ahead and kick it off with one of those now.

Citizens of Razzball, we have reached the final slate of games with bye weeks. I hope that you have weathered the storm of lineups without too much trouble. After this week, we will have all of our best players who haven’t fell to devastating injuries (which seems like a big chunk of the league). Of course, there are always those nagging hamstring injuries and who can forget concussion protocol? Let’s face it, it’s not going to get any easier this season. But luckily, we have rankings for you to have and to hold. Welcome to week 11! I’ll catch you in the comment section!

I’m from Iowa and if you’re not you will probably roll your eyes at this. It was a big day in the NFL for former Hawkeyes on Sunday. Adrian Clayborn took advantage of playing against Tyron Smith’s back up and got himself six sacks in one game. Wow, if only the Buccaneers, who struggle greatly to generate a pass rush, would’ve re-signed him after his rookie deal was up. Another great move by Jason Licht. Also, Hawkeye graduate C.J. Beathard earned his first career win in the NFL on Sunday. I figured that Jimmy Garappolo would have taken over the starting quarterback job before that ever happened, but here we are!

G’day Razzball folks! We are inching closer and closer to the playoffs. Every week is becoming more important for a lot of teams so making the right calls is crucial. Luckily, we are starting to see a large sample size for a lot of players and we can better detect whether a match up is good or bad. The following rankings for week 10 will change but by bit throughout the week, but here are my initial thoughts…

After an eventful UFC card on Saturday night, the NFL decided to host some backyard brawling of their own. You really can’t blame the players for trying to stir up some excitement, ratings are down 20% in the NFL over the past two seasons. A.J. Green choked and slammed Jalen Ramsey and tried his best to ground and pound him. Later on, Jameis Winston got into a verbal spat with Marshon Lattimore and Mike Evans came out of nowhere and blindsided Lattimore. Is fighting immature? Maybe. Does the pettiness add a level of excitement? Hell yeah! Let’s get to the games.
