On a transcendent episode of the Razzball Fantasy Football Podcast, Host Bobby LaMarco is joined by Razzball’s Paul Blake to discuss former North Dakota State Bison WR Christian Watson’s role in the Packers’ wide receiver room and his effect on fantasy football. Watch and hear our in-depth analysis, check out the video included and see where Watson ranks on our new consensus rookie rankings for 2022 fantasy football dynasty leagues and 2022 fantasy football ADP pages!

Christian has all the tools you’d need to construct an All-Pro Wide Receiver: 6′, 4″ 210lbs. and runs a 4.36 40-yard dash. He jumped to a 38.5 inch vertical and received a Relative Athletic Score of 9.96– good for 12th amongst wide receivers since 1987.  But, like his former teammate Trey Lance, we have only seen the blueprints.  Watson was on the field for only about 30% of the Bison’s snaps. Christian’s upside is immense as it is imprecise. Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers might be wise to build a fantasy star out of Christian Watson.

The cupboard is not necessarily bare in the Packers’ pass-catching kitchen. Watson will compete with a group of receivers looking to consume any and all available targets. They include Allen Lazard, a veteran payer with ideal measurables 6′, 5″ 225lbs. and a rapport with Aaron Rodgers. Speaking of Rodgers rapport – Randall Cobb is in this group. Add veteran Sammy Watkins, and sophomore Amari Rodgers. This is not to mention rookie draft picks Romeo Daubs and Samori Toure. Ya, that’s a massive pile of potential playmakers. The players who emerge from this heap will be fantasy contributors and even stars in 2022. The early season Packers wide receiver fantasy scramble promises to be one of the best parts of this year’s season.

Paul and Bobby focus on Watson in this video. Check it out and see if we like Watson as a future star, or if we have our sights set on a different wedge of the cheese wheel. Watch the YouTube video above for our full analysis or listen to the podcast audio below.
