Welcome back for another week of cashing in here at Razzball. I am here with your weekly DFS-focused article laying out my favorite options to target at each position for the Sunday DFS main slate. This DFS Flash article goes position by position, giving you my favorite pay-up option and my favorite pay-down or dart-throw option at each position to help you build out a winning DFS lineup. I use DraftKings pricing as a point of reference to seek out some values, and the goal is to help you “double up” in a 50/50 cash game with solid plays. Of course, you can use the dart throws to try to win the GPP tournaments, but at the end of the article, I give you my “double up” lineup using players discussed in this article. Let’s get right into it, let’s build this lineup and let’s make some money.

QB:

Pay up – Justin Fields – $6,500– With Josh Allen and Kyler Murray both banged up, it gives us an opportunity to save a little bit with our pay-up option this week. While Patrick Mahomes is a solid play, he is expensive, so I would look to Justin Fields at $1,400 less. Fields is on a heater, and while I don’t expect him to put up 45 fantasy points like he did last week, I do believe this will be another high-scoring game for him to find success. The Detroit defense ranks 29th against opposing quarterbacks, so it’s a great matchup for Fields to continue his quality play.

Pay Down – Trevor Lawrence – $5,400 – We went with Lawrence in this spot last week, and he returned us 3.4x value. This week, he should find himself in a shootout against Kansas City, and if the Jaguars are playing from behind as we expect, it will force Trevor to throw a lot. At this salary, we only need him to get to 16.2 for a 3x return on investment, and he has gone over that number in 3 out of his last 4 games. I like the value in a game that we should see a heavy passing volume.

RB:

Pay Up –Alvin Kamara – $7,400– There are a ton of good pay-up options at running back this week. The matchups are good for Barkley and Chubb, and Derrick Henry is a beast, but I will go a little further down that salary list to Alvin Kamara. Coming off a poor game last week, a lot of people could forget about Kamara, and this is where we can differentiate if we’re going to use one of the popular game stacks this week. Just 2 weeks ago, Kamara had a 42-point performance on 27 touches, and I believe this week could be another heavy volume day for him. This game is one I expect to go over the point total, and Kamara will be a big part of why.

Pay Down – Jeff Wilson Jr. – $5,500 – In his first game as a Dolphin last week, Wilson was the most productive running back on the team. He had 12 touches for 72 yards and a touchdown and stepped right into this explosive offense, and proved to be another playmaker to add to the mix. He is familiar with the coaching staff, making it easier to learn the playbook and terminology, and with another week of practice in Miami, he could have an even bigger role this week. At this price, Wilson is a solid value play for us this week in a game Miami should be playing from ahead and using its running backs.

WR:

Pay Up – Amon-Ra St. Brown – $6,900 – Here is another opportunity to save some funds with a lower-priced pay-up receiver. Some of the top options are dealing with injuries to their quarterbacks and surrounding receivers, and I really like the matchup for St. Brown this week. This game should be one of the highest-scoring games of the week, so there is a lot of potential to stack it. If you use Fields and Mooney, you can run it back with Amon-Ra in this potential shootout. We know he will be getting the targets, and this should be the week he gets back on track and gets back into the end zone.

Pay Down – Darnell Mooney – $5,500 – Honestly, there are so many solid plays in the mid-range that it’s hard to pick just one. I just mentioned Mooney as a great stack option with Fields in a plus matchup against the poor Detroit defense that ranks 28th against opposing wide receivers. As Justin Fields improves as a quarterback, Darnell Mooney also gets elevated. He has 31 targets over the past 4 weeks and is still a solid value at this price tag.

TE:

Pay Up – Travis Kelce – $7,800– It has been a couple of weeks since we have been able to use Kelce here, but he’s back on the main slate and is the obvious pay-up option at tight end. There isn’t much analysis needed on this one as he is head and shoulders above all the other tight end options, and the price tag reflects that. If you can afford him, get him in your lineup for the positional advantage.

Pay Down – Dalton Schultz – $3,800 – Well rested coming off the bye week, I expect Schultz to continue to build on his production in the Dallas offense. In the past 2 games where Schultz and Prescott were both healthy and back on the field together, Schultz saw 12 targets and caught 11 of them for 123 yards. At only $3,800 on DraftKings, we only need 11.4 fantasy points for that 3x return on investment we look for. He can get over that number with a 5 for 65 performance, and if he finally gets back into the end zone, he could pay off handsomely for us.

Defense:

Pay Up – Cowboys – $4,000 – The Cowboys are easily the best defense on the slate this week, but I never pay all the way up on defense. It’s a good matchup for a good defense so take them if you have the extra funds, but I’m more of a pay-down for defense kind of guy.

Pay Down – Vikings – $2,200– The Vikings are playing very well as a team, and their defense has 13 sacks and 5 forced turnovers over their last 3 games. If Josh Allen is forced to miss this game, they’re a solid play at this price against a backup quarterback.

JB’s Example “Double Up” Lineup:

QB – Justin Fields

RB – Alvin Kamara

RB – Jeff Wilson Jr.

WR- Amon-Ra St. Brown

WR- Darnell Mooney

WR- Jerry Jeudy

TE – Dalton Schultz

Flex – Tony Pollard

DST – Vikings
