Welcome back for another week of cashing in here at Razzball. I am here with your weekly DFS-focused article laying out my favorite options to target at each position for the Sunday DFS main slate. This DFS Flash article goes position by position, giving you my favorite pay-up option and my favorite pay-down or dart-throw option at each position to help you build out a winning DFS lineup.

I use DraftKings pricing as a point of reference to seek out some values, and the goal is to help you “double up” in a 50/50 cash game with solid plays. Of course, you can use the dart throws to try to win the GPP tournaments, but at the end of the article, I give you my “double up” lineup using players discussed in this article. Let’s get right into it, let’s build this lineup and let’s make some money.

QB:

Pay up – Jalen Hurts – $8,100 – Fresh off a 4-touchdown performance last week, Hurts is once again in a spot where he can light up the scoreboard. We love his dual-threat ability, and I expect him to get it done both through the air and on the ground this week. The Giants’ secondary is very beatable downfield, so there should be a long touchdown or two that Hurts connects with his playmaking wide receivers on. Add a rushing touchdown to that, and we have a solid pay-up option in Jalen Hurts.

Pay Down – Jared Goff – $5,600 – The Minnesota/Detroit game has the highest total on the slate, so everybody is expecting a shootout in Motown. While Detroit is known to be a run-heavy offense, Goff has been getting it done through the air as well. He has thrown for 580 yards and four touchdowns over the past two weeks, and he gets a tremendous matchup this week against a depleted Vikings secondary that ranks 27th in the league against opposing quarterbacks. With his weapons getting healthier now, I expect a big game from Goff and the Lions’ offense this week.

RB:

Pay Up –Joe Mixon – $6,900 – We’re going to look a little lower than usual for our pay-down option this week. While I do love Christian McCaffrey and a couple of others at the top of the pricing, I am going to lean wide receiver heavy this week, and I love the value here on Mixon. What I love the most is that he is well-rested after missing the last couple of weeks in concussion protocol and gets to come back to a great matchup. The Cleveland run defense ranks 29th in the league against opposing running backs and gives up over 125 rushing yards per game and 16 rushing touchdowns on the season. It’s a great spot for Mixon to come back and make an immediate impact.

Pay Down – D’Onta Foreman – $5,400 – Foreman is also well rested coming off his bye week, and he’s had an extra week to rest the foot issue that he had going into the bye. Foreman has been the lead back in Carolina since the McCaffrey trade and has had over 100-yard rushing performances in four of his last six games. He gets a matchup this week against a Seattle team who just allowed two rushing touchdowns to the ghost of Cam Akers last week, and they rank 31st in the league against opposing running backs. It’s a solid matchup for a workhorse back, so I like the value on Foreman this week.

*Bonus Dart Throw – James Cook – $4,600 – This price is way too cheap for a guy who basically shared the backfield last week and led the team in rushing. While Singletary won’t go away, Cook’s role is clearly increasing, so at this price, if we can get him in the end zone, it could be a great dart throw value that allows us to pay up at wide receiver.

WR:

Pay Up – Amon-Ra St. Brown – $7,800 – If I pay down for Goff at quarterback, I will absolutely look to pair him with St. Brown in my lineup. While I love some of the other high-priced receivers also (Jefferson, Brown, Chase, Higgins, Lamb and Godwin are all in great spots), St. Brown checks so many of the boxes I look for when building my lineup. He is a target hog who consistently sees double-digit targets, he is playing in the game with the highest projected point total, and he gets a matchup against Chandon Sullivan, who allows a 78% catch rate on a defense that ranks 30th in the league against opposing wide receivers. So I’m going to slam St. Brown in my lineup and try to get creative to fit at least one of those other guys in there, also.

Pay Down – Michael Gallup – $4,600 – Gallup had a 2-touchdown game last week, and while we aren’t chasing last week’s points, we are learning something about the Dallas offense. We know CeeDee Lamb is a beast, but we are also seeing Gallup looking healthy and looking like a favorite target of Dak Prescott in the red zone. Gallup has seen at least seven targets in 3 of his last four games and was tied for the most targets in the redzone in the league last week. Over the past four weeks, Gallup is tied for second-most receptions in the red zone while having a 100% reception percentage there. At this price point, we only need a couple of catches from him to return solid value if he catches another touchdown this week.

TE:

Pay Up – TJ Hockenson – $5,100– Coming back to Detroit to face his old team, Hockenson is a great play this week. I’ve talked about this game being a shootout already, and Hockenson has shown he is a big part of the Vikings’ offensive game plan. He has quickly built rapport with Kirk Cousins and Has seen anywhere from 6 to 10 targets each week. Detroit also ranks 28th in the league against opposing tight ends. With the defense keying in on Justin Jefferson, it could open things up for Hockenson to be heavily targeted and effective this game. If you can afford to pay up at the position this week, Hock is the guy.

Pay Down – Greg Dulcich – $3,400 – Dulcich is basically the only good thing going on the offensive side of the ball in Denver this season. He was targeted eight times last week and caught six passes for 85 yards. With Courtland Sutton out this week and Jerry Jeudy still not at 100%, I expect another busy day for the tight end. At only $3,400 on DraftKings, we only need 10.2 points for a 3x return on our investment.

Defense:

Pay Up – Cowboys – $3,800 – One of the best defenses in the league, playing at the top of their game against one of the worst offenses in the league. Yes, please.

Pay Down – Panthers – $2,200– If you’re going to pay down, pay all the way down. Carolina’s defense has averaged 10 fantasy points over its last three games, and they do get to the quarterback. So if they get me even 6 points and give me huge salary savings, I’ll take it!

JB’s Example “Double Up” Lineup:

QB – Jared Goff

RB – Joe Mixon

RB – James Cook

WR – Amon-Ra St. Brown

WR – Tee Higgins

WR – Michael Gallup

TE – T.J. Hockenson

Flex – Ezekiel Elliott

DST – Panthers
