Welcome back for another week of cashing in here at Razzball. I am here with your weekly DFS-focused article laying out my favorite options to target at each position for the Sunday DFS main slate. This DFS Flash article goes position by position, giving you my favorite pay-up option and my favorite pay-down or dart-throw option at each position to help you build out a winning DFS lineup. I use DraftKings pricing as a point of reference to seek out some values, and the goal is to help you “double up” in a 50/50 cash game with solid plays. Of course, you can use the dart throws to try to win the GPP tournaments, but at the end of the article, I give you my “double up” lineup using players discussed in this article. So let’s get right into it, let’s build this lineup and let’s make some money. Fantasy football.

Quarterback:

Pay up – Kyler Murray – $7,300 – Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes square off in what should be a shootout this week, but the game with the next highest projected point total is the Arizona game, so I like Kyler Murray at a discount. Murray is priced $900 less than Allen and $700 less than Mahomes and gets a tasty matchup against Seattle’s 25th-ranked pass defense. Kyler has gone over 20 fantasy points in three of his five games so far, and he should do that again in this game against this porous Seattle defense. So I’ll save some coin coming down from the top guys and take the multi-TD game from Kyler at a lower cost.

Pay Down – Trevor Lawrence – $5,600 – I could very easily go with Geno Smith on the other side of Kyler’s game, but everybody has been talking about Geno, so I’ll give you a different name that could differentiate you from the crowd. Trevor Lawrence is coming off a down game, but he acknowledged his mistakes, and I genuinely believe this is a year of growth for the young phenom, so he will want to bounce back this week. Even in the down game last week, he threw for nearly 300 yards; we just need the touchdowns to go with it. Well, he faced this same Indianapolis team in Week 2 and threw two touchdown passes, and he can certainly do that again this week. At this salary, we only need 16.8 fantasy points on DraftKings for a three-times return on our investment, and I expect Trevor to get us there this week to be a solid paydown option.

Running Back:

Pay Up –Aaron Jones – $7,600– Green Bay suffered an embarrassing loss last week across the pond to the New York Giants, and they return home this week to get redemption against the other New York team. The Jets allow about 115 rushing yards per game, and I expect the Packers to get their offense back on track at home this week. Jones has shown some burst and has also out-touched AJ Dillon significantly lately. While I do expect both backs to stay involved, I know that Aaron Rodgers trusts Aaron Jones and will want to get the ball in his hands often this week. Jones hasn’t found the end zone since week 2, but I GUARANTEE that changes this week! Fantasy football.

Pay Down – Jeff Wilson Jr. – $6,200– Running back pricing has gone up this week, so our pay down option is slightly higher than usual. Last week, I gave you Breece Hall, Rhamondre Stevenson and Jeff Wilson, all at around $5400. All of their prices have gone up this week, but all are still good plays! I like Wilson because he has the most favorable game script of the three options and has also been proving it weekly for us. Wilson is the lead back in a run-heavy offense which should be playing from ahead for most of this game. He put up over 23 points last week, even with being vultured by Tevin Coleman twice. Wilson has scored in back-to-back games, and I look for the three-peat this week against an Atlanta defense that ranks 23rd in the league against opposing RBs. Fantasy football.

Wide Receiver:

Pay Up – Justin Jefferson – $8,900 – If you can save in other places, Jefferson would be my pay-up option this week. He is absolutely scorching lately, with 22 catches on 26 targets over the past two weeks. He has averaged about 150 receiving yards in those games and gets a matchup this week against a Miami defense that bleeds fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Miami has given up 276.8 passing yards per game and ranks 24th in the league against the wide receiver position. This should be another feast for Jefferson.

Pay Down – There is so much value here this week that I will jam as many of these guys in my lineup as I can! Here is a quick snap into a few of my favorites:

  1. Chris Godwin – $6,100 – As the primary slot in Tom Brady’s offense, Godwin gets plenty of targets. He also will be matched up with Cameron Sutton in the slot, who has given up 3 TDs already in his coverage. Pittsburgh gives up nearly 17 points per game against slot receivers, so it’s a great matchup for Godwin.
  2. Christian Kirk – $5,800 – If you pay down for Trevor, pair him with Kirk. After two down games, Kirk should bounce back this week in a good matchup. When these two teams played in Week 2, Kirk scored two touchdowns as a part of his 25.8 fantasy point performance. Time for the sequel!
  3. Tyler Lockett – $5,600 – Locket will be predominantly matched up with journeyman corner Antonio Hamilton, who the veteran Lockett should fully outmatch. We said this game should be a shootout, so Lockett should be a big part of that.

Dart Throw – Rondale Moore – $4,200 – Moore got back on track last week and looks to be fully healthy. He caught seven passes on eight targets for 68 yards and quickly reestablished his rapport with Kyler Murray. He gets a solid matchup against rookie corner Coby Bryant this week, who grades out with a PFF coverage grade of 45.2. In a high-scoring game, I will absolutely use Moore in my stacks. Fantasy football.

Tight End:

Pay Up – Mark Andrews – $7,000 – Andrews is an absolute beast and is a target monster. With Rashod Bateman banged up, Andrews played 95.4% of snaps last week and ran a route on 97% of his snaps! He was targeted 10 times and caught eight passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. He gets a great matchup this week as well, so I don’t see much changing. If you can afford him, he’s the easy pay-up option this week.

Pay Down – Zach Ertz – $4,900 – Going back to the well with Ertz this week in a game we keep talking about being a potential shootout. His opponent this week, Seattle, has given up the fourth most points to tight ends each week and has been eaten up by tight ends for monster games this season. Remember when Hockenson blew up a couple of weeks ago? That was against this defense! The targets have been abundant for Ertz, and he has at least six catches in each of the last four games.

*Bonus – David Njoku – $4,000 – Njoku has been a regular part of the Cleveland offense and has at least six targets in 3 straight games. With New England likely focusing on trying to shut down the run, Cleveland may have to pass more, and Njoku will be a beneficiary. Especially going up against a defense that ranks 21st against opposing tight ends.

Defense:

Pay Up – Rams – $4,100 – We usually don’t pay up for defenses, but the Rams get a matchup at home against a third-string quarterback and a team who just fired their head coach. Nobody knows what the Carolina offense will look like this week, but I don’t expect it to resemble anything good.

Pay Down – Jaguars – $3,000– This play becomes even juicier if Jonathan Taylor doesn’t play, but it is still a solid value even if he does. This defense has 10 sacks and seven interceptions on the season, and three of those picks came against Matt Ryan and these Colts in Week 2. They have scored at least nine fantasy points in 3 games this season, and if they do it again this week, that will get us the 3-times return on investment we want. Fantasy football.

QB – Kyler Murray

RB – Aaron Jones

RB – Jeff Wilson Jr.

WR- Chris Godwin

WR- Christian Kirk

WR- Rondale Moore
