We are already a quarter of the way through the NFL season and I still find myself thinking how much I missed football on Sundays. It felt great to go through the football routine last week after missing weeks 2 & 3. Ironically, I had my worst week of the season at the sportsbook. Too much research can be a bad thing. Let’s take a quick look at some buy and sells without overthinking things.

Terry McLaurin – APPLAUD

A pleasant surprise from this year’s weak draft class, McLaurin is a buy in Dynasty. He’s emerged as the WR1 in Washington and it seems to be for real. His Dynasty buy window is snapping shut quickly, but after going up against the historic Patriots defense this week you may still be able to get him on the cheap.

Chris Carson – FRAUD

In redraft leagues I have no problem rolling Carson out there and would not recommend selling him. In dynasty leagues he is a perfect sell candidate. Chris Carson is a product of his environment. Seattle is a run heavy team (though a bit more balanced this year) that frustratingly won’t cut Russell Wilson loose. Unless you are sure you are going to compete this year, it would be wise to move Carson for a rookie haul or an early 2020 pick. Just look at what he has done against the only good defenses he’s seen this year. (8 points and 3 points).

Marquez Valdes-Scantling – To be Determined

Week 5 is a critical week for MVS. With Adams likely sidelines with turf toe, Valdes-Scantling is going to prove that he can step up. He’s been start able through 4 weeks and appears to have a safe floor as the WR2. When a team loses their WR1 it’s a great litmus test to gauge the true talent of the next man up. This could be the week MVS turns us all into believers.

Jared Goff – FRAUD

My god, I hope your dynasty QB is not Jared Goff. What Goff lacks in talent, he makes up for in volume. That is all.

Why didn’t we see this coming? Damn you Keelan Cole, fool me twice…I thought we were going to get a bounce back year for Keelan Cole and it turns out it was Chark all along. Chark has taken a big step in year 2 which is a great sign moving forward. His dynasty buy window is still open, and will remain so after a tough Panthers matchup.

Are there any players you’re buying into or selling? Drop’em below in the comments.

  1. Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:

half PPR 2 QB dynasty, have these:
QB (2): rodgers, haskins, rosen, mahomes
RB (2): kamara, ingram, ekeler, michel, d.harris, hyde
WR (3): boyd, edelman, gordon, k.allen, thielen, watkins
    TE (1): ertz
    K (1) DAL kicker
    DEF (1): DAL D
    IDP flexes (4): j.adams, j.hicks, b.martinez, d.jones (ATL)
    IR (2): mosley

nab my backup TE now over d.harris or wait (ertz has week 10 bye), options: herndon, everett, knox, eifert

drop d.harris for a backu TE (ertz has no bye till week 10, but if harris can’t even get into lineup when burkhead’s out…

    • Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:

      2 RB/WR/TE flexes here too

    • The Scrant Dog

      The Scrant Dog says:

      Drop Harris for Herndon!
      You need some te depth

  2. Mr. A Knife says:

12 team half PPR 2 QB dynasty

QB (2): rodgers, mahomes, haskins, rosen
RB (2): michel, d.harris, ekeler, ingram, hyde, kamara
WR (3) thielen, gordon, edelman, watkins, k.allen, boyd
    TE(1) ertz
    2 flexes
    K: DAL kicker
    DEF: DAL
    IDP flexes (4): j.hicks, b.martinez, j.adams, d.jones (ATL)
    IR (2): mosley

drop d.harris for a backup TE now or hold, he’s still inactive even when burkhead is out (far worse than how michel was used in his rookie year), options: herndon, everett, knox. this is daily FAAB 3 max moves per week so this could be done tonight (and usually people don’t think TO do FAAB’ing tonight, so the costs are usually lower, here if everett wasn’t taken after his thursday game he’s probably free or near it)

    • Mr. A Knife says:

also if i’m making a move i’m best off doing it either sunday night or monday night as after that mosley will get the “non out” tag and i couldn’t make any moves without another drop.

      • Mr. A Knife says:

        ok, yeah herndon over everett.

  3. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:

W(ho)TF is pringle and why is he getting all of watkins’ targets?!

    • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:

nevermind, they updated the news on that. i was going to lose in a league where i played edelman over thielen anyway unless watkins went fairly nuts. wanted to actually SEE cousins throw the damn ball for true gains before i assumed anything on that. i’m usually a very good team in this league so edelman’s floor seemed far better today. super injured entire career watkins is all the way back, today’s injury completely different from the one he missed time on.

    • The Scrant Dog

      The Scrant Dog says:

      Hahaha this made me lol
Pringle is a decent dynasty prospect. We know its not happeneing for watkins at this points. You know exactly what you’re getting with him week to week
