If you’re in your fantasy championship and your opponent doesn’t own Alvin Kamara then consider it a very Harry Mistress. I mean Merry Christmas. If you are going up against Kamara then take that lump of coal out of your butt and get back to work, there’s still a glimmer of hope for a Christmas miracle. And if you’re in the championship and you own Kamara, then you won’t be getting any more holiday gifts for the next three years after unwrapping 22 carries for 155 yards with 3 catches for 17 yards and 6 touchdowns! SIX TOUCHDOWNS! Kamara now has 21 touchdowns on the season, not too shabby. Anyway, in this post I’ll go over Saturday’s questionable players to watch closely as well as some sneaky starts for this week, who just might be available in your free agent pool depending on how many players are rostered in your league. Plus, find my freshly updated week 16 rankings below!

Injury Report – Will try to update these periodically Saturday as more info comes out

George Kittle (foot) – He said he’d be back this year when the doctors doubted. Kittle 1, Doctors 0. IN

Chase Edmonds (ankle, knee) – Questionable, on track to play. IN

DeVante Parker (hamstring) – Questionable, trending towards playing. OUT

Mike Gesicki (shoulder) – Questionable – trending towards playing. IN

Derek Carr (groin) – In a surprise turn of events, Carr will play. IN

Matthew Stafford (rib, thumb) – Questionable, would play even if he lost a limb in a Christmas turkey frying accident. IN

Sneaky Starts (Yahoo ownership %)

QB

Baker Mayfield (54%) – Hopefully you have a high end option for your title run, but if not, Baker has been locked in lately and now faces the Jets.

RB

Salvon Ahmed (46%) – Again, hopefully you have better options because running backs are tough to come by in the fantasy championship week. Most analysts think Gaskin will be the main back in Miami, but I expect a full out committee with Ahmed.

Jeff Wilson (54%) – Mostert is on the shelf and Wilson has been used heavily in recent weeks.

WR

Russell Gage (31%) – Julio is out again.

Tee Higgins (69%) – They don’t have a QB but Tyler Boyd is out so the opportunity should be there for both Higgins and A.J. Green (36%).

TE

George Kittle (87%) – I know this one seems obvious, but make sure he wasn’t dropped and never picked back up in your league.

Donald Parham Jr. (0%) – This one’s for real deep leaguers. Hunter Henry is on the COVID list and Herbert likes to use his tight end.
