So unless you’ve been dead and have recently been resurrected and for some reason felt the first thing you should do was come to our website, you’d have a good idea on how I feel about these two quarterbacks.  Oh and thanks for the support!  We are big fans of the Zombie community.  You all have put out some really quality movies.  All that said, I’ve been a strong proponent of Robert Griffin, III and a huge worry wart about Andrew Luck for 2012 fantasy football.  My reasoning is fairly simple: RGIII will add value with his legs as he’s not a pure pocket passer.  Meanwhile, there’s not going to be much of a pocket for Luck to pass from this year in my mind.  He’s coming from the same team that broke Peyton Manning for a season.  Now granted, the Redskins O-line isn’t the greatest either but RGIII should be athletic enough to make his bad situation palatable.  I don’t know if I can say the same for Luck.  But with that all said, the draft will always decide which guy is the best one to draft based on value and currently, the best value between the two has to be Luck.

Draft day is all about getting your good guys as cheap as possible.  Well that and cracking open a few tasty adult beverages but mostly it’s about finding guys who are underrated and avoid the guys who are being hyped over what they should be.  Currently in a yahoo draft, I’d have to draft RGIII late at about 82nd off the board and he’s averaging a late 8th round pickup.  Don’t ask how the math works, I’m looking at yahoo right now scratching my head at that too but I’m not going to argue with them seeing as they’re, well, a website.  Whatever, the point is he’s going at or near an established quarterback in Matt Ryan whom I have been smitten with as I’m sure most of our reading community is sick of hearing by now.  Matt is going just a couple of spots ahead of him at 79.4.  Now this is not to say he isn’t worth the pick but value is about assessing risk versus reward.  You have an established quarterback in Ryan who still has room for upside going up against a rookie quarterback.  In viewing it that way, which one holds the best value in your mind?  Exactly.  So like that creepy boy fogging up the window peering in on his pretty neighbor (not that I have any experience with that), it looks like my RGIII love will have to be enjoyed from afar.  Instead, Luck and his 115.9 ADP in over at yahoo has become the attractive rookie play in my mind.  Important note to note: I’m not saying I will be drafting one or the other this season automatically.  This is simply an act of reviewing where the value lies between the two.  In fact, I only reviewed two rookie QBs and there are plenty of others to choose from.  So what say you?  If you’re drafting  – or have drafted – a rookie quarterback this season, who would it be?  Razzball Nation needs to know!
