Impressive Prime Time Win for Bengals. Wait, What?

Thus marks the end of Monday Night Football for the 2014 NFL Season. I can’t say it was a great catalog of games, but when your prime time competition is Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night Football, I guess finishing in the middle ain’t that bad.  And while the game immediately looked like a normal Bengals effort, Andy Dalton’s pick-six at the opening of the game seemed to have no ill-effects. Well, I mean, there was the Alex Smith game plan for a while there, but that only showed us that Jeremy Hill can do interesting things, especially against one of the best defenses in the AFC (not really saying much, but there it is.) In the end, Manning continues his descent into a smarter and more robotic Chad Henne, and depending on how the playoffs go, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him retire this offseason. Or he could play one more year and effectively throw ducks for 4,000 yards and 30+ touchdowns. That forehead could do it. Just as long as January has nothing to say about it…

Broncos – 28, Bengals – 37

Andy Dalton – 17/26, 146 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT. Every time you start thinking “maybe that Dalton guy is halfway decent?”, he sets you straight right away. I’m pretty sure he got the idea from Joe Flacco.

Jeremy Hill – 21 CAR, 133 YDS, 1 TD. What the Hill?

Peyton Manning – 28/43, 311 YDS, 2 TD, 3 INT and  I think this is like Toy Story 3 and Peyton Manning is in “Spanish Demo Mode”.

As a special note, I realize that there are still some leagues playing, and I will continue running 2014 content through the playoffs and all the way to the Super Bowl (join me!) into our offseason phase, but I just want to thank all of you, the readers, for being a part of Razzball Football this year. This was my first year running the place and I had such an amazing time doing it. (That’s because of you guys.) The Razzball readership is really the best out there and I couldn’t imagine such an engaging, humorous, and sexy group to spend time with every day. Well, besides your mom.
