Razzball squire back reporting for duty! In many cases, I would be appalled by the nickname “squire”. I think to myself no one is as great as me! NO ONE. Then I took a look at Tehol’s jawline and general being and… then I realized I had to change my pants. My new jeans then spoke to me and told me “learn from this man and better yourself”. Then I looked at the RCL writers standings and my pants were suddenly no longer dirty. I am ahead of God himself. Bless…

Last week we took a look at the Cardinals offense. Carson Palmer looked fantastic again. He had it all going. Short, medium, and long routes. I’m still sad this is not how Peyton Manning is playing. John Brown looks like he is slowly taking the lead role and stealing Palmer’s heart away from Larry Fitzgerald. It makes me sad because I have no shares in Brown as I was able to steal Larry in the late rounds in many leagues. When it comes to debating whether to start Amendola or Fitz, I instantly get sad. Chris Johnson is clearly the lead back moving forward until he craps the bed, gets injured or fumbles one too many times. Avoid the rest but I would be ok with trying to acquire Ellington at a discount to handcuff CJ2K.

Now let’s take a look at the Dolphins offense! In their first four games the only bright side was the receiving corp. Ryan Tannehill is known for being an accurate QB but really didn’t show it early on in the season. Under 60% pass % in his first 6 games, which I believe was worse than Peyton Manning’s. Now that you’re done cleaning the vomit from your mouths, everyone thinks that with the coaching change the team is vastly improved and they are going to be a much better team. I say that is garbage. The post-bye Dolphins played 2 teams from the AFC south that have a combined 3-10 record and -65 point differential. For new NFL followers this is equates to dogsh*t. I see Tannehill being an average quarterback and nothing more going forward. I’m hoping for goodness from him as I own him in a few leagues but I’m not holding my breath.

I feel the same way about Lamar Miller. He’s a solid back and could be improved going forward, but I would still not be too optimistic as the Texans and Titans defense are pretty putrid. I’d say he’s around low tier RB1 right now with the chance to break out or get you 3 points. I could see on average 80 total yards and 0.4 TD’s a game going forward. Don’t own any other RB’s on this squad. On a complete side note, someone in my money league picked up Orleans Darkwa of the Giants. All I can say is… amazing.

The receiving corps stands pat through everything. Own Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews everywhere. Both get real good targets and have solid YAC potential. I wouldn’t touch any of their other receiving options anywhere. Overall nothing has changed too much and don’t get your hopes up as a real test has yet to come. New England this week will prove to us who is real and who are leprechauns.

@Dom B: Rivers, Bell, Murray, Julio, Green, Reed if healthy, Smith, Broncoes, Hauscka. Your WR are so stacked, move one for a better QB or RB.

Yeldon or Ivory in keeper league?

  3. Max

    Max says:
    (link)

Id probably Lean towards Yeldon in a keeper, but Id take ivory this year. Im not huge on yeldon for this year going forward but the jags in general are improving together as a team.

  4. Rags says:

12 team keeper league, no PPR, but high scoring defenses (including return yards and TFLs).

Would you give: Stewart, Cooks and Joique Bell
to get: Keenan Allen and the StL D?

My other RBs are Miller, West, Dion Lewis and Hill for two RB spots (I’m mostly rolling with Kelce and Reed in my TE and Flex). So it would primarily be an upgrade from Cooks to Allen and let me roster StL and the NE D/ST.

    • Max

      Max says:
      (link)

@Rags: Assuming its stewart of he panthers, Bell is garbo, cooks is pretty meh right now, i would never make a trade because of any defense.

West is Charcandrick? Id likely upgrade WR for you here as you have capable RBs. Allen is a target machine. but dont trade for a defense!!! Stewart is very solid but i expect an injury and you have solid RBs.

      • Rags says:
        (link)

        @Max:

Yeah, JStew. And West is Charandrick.

I feel like our format makes it more important to have a good D than standard leagues.

And StL D scored 30 points last week, and are averaging about 18 pts/wk.

Denver’s D is highest at 25/wk. Arizona (who put up 45 pts week 3) and Seattle are at about 20/wk.

The 12th to 14th ranked Ds right now are average 12-14 pts/wk.

I can try asking for a different piece but I’m not sure where else his team matches up with mine.

          Max says:
          (link)

@Rags: You have 4 very startable RBs and NE defense is solid already. Id still look to have a more elite WR.

Which 3 of these RB would you most want to own in a 10 team standard?

I own Forte, Hyde, and Abdullah but which 3 would be best bench options?

CJ Anderson Duke Johnson, Riddick, J Bell, McFadden, C Michael, Ryan Matthews, A Blue, Z Stacy, A Bradshaw,

@Scooter G: I hate abdullah, i never understoof the hype in that offense with his touch amount. Forte 100%. of the 2nd group, id go Anderson, Mcfadden, michael.

@Scooter G: maybe matthews in case demarco gets hurt but i wouldnt really want to own either, maybe a WR would be more useful?

  6. Benny says:

Would you Matt Ryan and Carlos Hyde for Carson Palmer and Sammy Watkins? Palmer owner had Foster and no other RB’s so he’s looking to deal.

    • Max

      Max says:
      (link)

@Benny: Watkins is not the man we thought he was this year. Hes not a great target this year at all, I wouldnt own him anywhere. The upgrade from Ryan to Palmer isnt enough for me to give away hyde.

@Chris: Cobb is useless. You have to weigh the upgrade in Palmer over Ryan vs having a loss of draft pick next year. If the pick is first 3 rounds, Im not doing this trade. You have 2 good keepers that Palmer is a no brain drop next year anyways

Would you trade forsett for dez? Ppr league, rest of team below

    QB – Rodgers
    WR – Antonio brown
    WR – Keenan Allen
    WR – donte moncrief
    RB – forsett
    RB – gurley
    TE – kelce
    Flex – Jonathan Stewart

I have no bench receivers currently, none of the above have had their bye week yet.

    Thanks

i say yes as long as you have even a decent fill in at rb.

@Yo: Brown, Allen and Dez come playoff time is going to be real nice. If you have a steady lead in the standings i would consider this. who do you have to fill in flex besides moncreif going forwards?

I got him to throw in Ebron as well. My bench is below.

        Chris Polk
        Antonio Andrews

hey i asked this in another thread and wanted one more opinion:

would you trade khiry robinson for matt stafford if you’re a matt ryan owner?

    or khiry for drew brees?

    brandon marshall for tom brady?

or dez bryant or alshon jeffery for brady? i have deep wr depth (antonio brown, brandon marshall, dez, alshon, martavis)… but i know i’ll be overpaying bad at dez or alshonn (at least i tihnk)

we’re all guilty for overvaluing our own players

    • Max

      Max says:
      (link)

@one more time: If I own Matt Ryan, Im not trading for Matt Stafford or drew brees. If you are deep at WR and can move Marshall and Ryan for Brady and something then i would do that.

I would deal a WR for brady 100%

    Which side ya got

    PPR

AJ Green & Chris Ivory forJulio Jones

    qb – palmer
    rb – forsett
    rb – lamar miller
    wr – antonio brown
    wr – julio jones
    wr – julian edelman
    te – eiffert
    flex – doug martin/allen robinson/brandin cooks

    • Max

      Max says:

@bigwormsherm: If you are giving away Julio, you downgrade from him to Green. Now Robinson and Martin are very good flex plays and they are both equivalent or better than ivory in my opinion. I dont do this trade.

  11. friar says:

In my 14-team non-ppr league, I ended up with both Brady and Luck and, since my team is pretty mediocre (currently 3-4), I’ve been trying all season to flip one of them for an upgrade elsewhere, so far with no takers. However, in response to one of my many trade offers, I just got a counter-offer of Gronk and Davante Adams for Luck and James Jones.

The Packers WR swap seems like a clear downgrade to me, but not necessarily a huge one, and the opportunity to land Gronk makes me feel like this is probably a no-brainer. My one hesitation, though, is the worry that this won’t help me at my biggest area of need (RB) and I’ll use up my strongest trade asset without fixing my team’s core problem.

    Would you recommend I…
    A) Accept the deal NOW. Duh.
    B) Counter by trying to get a bench RB instead of Adams. I’d probably try for Mathews, but he also has Abdullah and Spiller.
    C) Hold out and hope I can parlay one of my QBs into a starting RB.

    Roster:
    QB: Brady, Luck
RB: Hyde, Anderson, Ellington, Riddick, Oliver
WR: Steve Smith, Moncrief, James Jones, Wallace
    TE: Bennett, Cameron

    • Max

      Max says:
      (link)

@friar: Luck is sitting on your bench doing nothing for you, I would strongly suggest moving him as fast as you can. He is not a huge asset at this point as hes playing pretty poorly this year. Gronk is a monster and value is worth James Jones and Luck. It cant hurt to try to counter bt Matthews, abudllah and spiller are all pretty meh. I would probably try ot move bennett, adams for either a RB or WR afterwards and take Gronk now.
