Each week I’ll be participating in FanDuel.com’s Fantasy Football Championship league, which is open to everyone.

My FanDuel team for week 1 was an unmitigated disaster.  Matt Forte and Jay Cutler were great, but of course Andre Johnson and Megatron took a big dump on both of them.  Call it an Elite WR Steamer, or not, that’s pretty gross.  So this week I’m going cheap and steep.

It’s a perfect week to get Michael Vick and Run DMC on your roster since they are cheap and both have great matchups.  Their 2 prices allows you to pretty much get anyone else you want.  My stud receivers weren’t very studly last week, but I’m going back to the stud well.  If they fail me again it’s time for Mike Furrey.

QB  Michael Vick  PHI @ DET — 4,900

RB  Darren McFadden OAK vs STL — 5,500

WR Miles Austin DAL vs CHI — 7,100

WR Reggie Wayne IND vs NYG —  6,700

TE Antonio Gates  SD vs JAC — 6,700

K  Mason Crosby GB vs BUF — 5,700

D  Philadelphia Eagles PHI @ DET — 6,100

  1. DEF says:

Would you drop 49ers DEF and pick up TEN this week and stream def rest of the year of just keep 49ers DEF? I honestly can’t drop any one of my regulars and don’t know what to do…. HELP

  2. Doc

    Doc says:

@DEF: I’d drop them and go with Tenn.

  3. Jack says:

Nicks, Bowe, or Naanee? Currently have Bowe locked in, but he almost seems more risky than Nicks. And at least Naanee has Philip Rivers instead of Matt Cassel.

  4. Anon says:

Doc – We start one RB, one WR and three Flex RB/WR. 1 point per 20 yards/ 6 points per TD. I need to choose three to start from this list. I have:

    Adrian Peterson (MIN vs. MIA)
    Arian Foster (HOU @ WAS)
    Jamaal Charles (KC @ CLE)
    Rashard Mendenhall (PIT @ TEN)

This is an extremely tough decision, but a good one to have. AP is a lock, but a case could be made for any of the others. JC is talented, but splitting carries with Thomas Jones may make him the 4th man out of this list (at least until he starts getting more touches). What three should I start this week?

    Thanks. Anon.

  5. Schlitzy says:

Looking at the RB ranks tells me that the the decision I’ve been debating all week really is a close call. So, do I really start Brandon Jackson over McCoy? My mind’s telling me no, but my body, my body’s telling me yes.

  6. paulzone says:

which 2 rb’s would you start this week out of:

    matthews, pierre, bradshaw

i have rivers as my qb if that makes a difference to you…

  7. paulzone says:

sorry for the repost…but wanted to add in moreno since i just read several “start ems” this week with him in them…

so, pick 2 rb’s out of: matthews, pierre, bradshaw, moreno

  8. herschel says:

@Doc: 12 team PPR, santana moss or crabtree?

  9. Doc

    Doc says:

@Jack: I’m giving Bowe another chance as long as the weather is good.

@Anon: That is a tough one. I could see sitting JC just because of his carries. I do think he will get more this week and his upside is great. If it were my team I’d lean toward sitting Mendy.

@Schlitzy: I’m leaning BJax. Maybe it’s the optimist in me.

    @paulzone: Bradshaw/Mathews

  10. Doc

    Doc says:

    @herschel: Moss

  11. Black Beard says:

    Start Shonn or Hightower?

Worth going with Nicks or should I start Clayton or Gaffney in his spot for security?

  12. Commish Cauda says:

    12-team, 0.5ppr

Mike Sims-Walker or Dez Bryant the rest of the way?

  13. RambleOn says:

I know start your studs, but its Revis Island man, so stop following that archaic rule and sit Moss for Hightower, no you IDIOT, you can never……..ohhh the DEMONS in my head, won’t someone help me?
