What a week to pay up for Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts! What a football game! It hurts even more that I was facing Allen AND Hurts this week in season-long. But Week 12’s article had the top two QBs, the top RB, two top 5 WRs, the top TE, and the top scoring D/ST of the main slate. I will call that a successful week. I, myself, had a good week using this collection of players. Hope Week 12 was successful for all of you as well!

Hit: Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, CJ Stroud, Gardner Minshew, Kyren Williams, Jerome Ford, Derrick Henry, Stefon Diggs, Mike Evans, Nico Collins, Greg Dortch, Demario Douglas, David Njoku, Pat Freiermuth, Dalton Kincaid, Broncos

Miss: D’Andre Swift, Jaylen Warren, Puka Nacua, Adam Thielen, Josh Downs, AT Perry, Trenton Irwin, Robert Woods, Cardinals, Chiefs

N/A:

Week 13 is a bye-week nightmare! A lot of really good teams/fantasy players on bye this Week. A few of my season-long teams are going to be putting out some ugly lineups this week. Teams off the main slate for Week 13 are the Chiefs, Cowboys, Bills, Raiders, Ravens, Bears, Vikings, Giants, Bengals, Jaguars, Packers and Seahawks.

Week 13: I really want to find a way to stack Tua and Tyreek and build from there. Zack Moss gives us the opportunity to have an RB1 at a very affordable price due to pricing being set before we knew about Jonathan Taylor. His ownership will likely be over 90%, but I don’t think you can afford not to use him. Use an alpha WR and then build from there. I really don’t love the TE position and the options this week. So, we may have to pay up a little or punt the position and throw a dart.

Will this week be a lucky 13 for us? Let’s see if we can’t create our own luck.

QB

Tua Tagovailoa $7900 (@ WAS) – My favorite QB play this week. Tua needs a strong bounce-back performance, and the Commanders are the perfect remedy. Their pass defense is dead last in the league.

Brock Purdy $6100 (@ PHI) – The weakness of the Eagles’ defense is against the pass. Josh Allen had a huge game against the Eagles with heavy rain. Obviously, Purdy will not accumulate the rushing stats that Allen does, but one could argue he has a stronger supporting cast.

Russell Wilson $5700 (@ HOU) – Russell Wilson could be in a position where he needs to keep pace with CJ Stroud. Weather won’t be a factor in Houston. Hopefully, they let Russ cook in Houston.

Sam Howell $6200 (vs. MIA) – The Dolphins defense has looked stout since the return of Jalen Ramsey. However, the QBs they’ve faced since his return are Aidan O’Connell and Tim Boyle. Sam Howell has been able to finish as a weekly QB1 based on record pace volume. The Commanders will be chasing points.

Contrarian/GPP: Jalen Hurts $8200 (vs. SF) – Jalen Hurts is the highest-priced QB on the slate and is in a tough matchup. This will likely scare some people off of using him. His rushing ability/goal-line TDs make him a high-floor, high-ceiling play. I’d stack him with Tyreek, AJ, or Keenan if I used him.

RB

Start of the week: Zack Moss $4600 (@ TEN) – This price was set before we found out Taylor wasn’t going to play this week. Take advantage. He won’t be this cheap next week. He is likely going to be the highest-owned RB, but you won’t find another RB1 at this price. This could help us stack Tua/Tyreek Hill.

Bijan Robinson $6700 (@ NYJ) Coming out of the bye, Bijan was finally unleashed. He had 19 opportunities, which could go even higher this week. The Jets’ weakness on defense is against the run. Let’s see if the rookie can build off last week.

Rachaad White $6300 (vs. CAR) – Rachaad White has been one of the hottest RBs over the past month. He rushed for over 100 yards for the first time all season in Week 12. Now, he gets the Panthers run defense, which is not very good.

Rhamondre Stevenson $6000 (vs. LAC) – The Patriots are in shambles on offense right now. As of this writing, it looks like Bailey Zappe is going to be starting at QB. I expect them to lean heavily on Stevenson. Due to his involvement in the passing game, the won’t the score won’t hinder his ability to produce.

Najee Harris $5200/Jaylen Warren $5400 (vs. ARI) – This duo has one of the best matchups of the week. Najee ran for 99 yards and a TD in Week 12. Jaylen Warren had been ascending the previous weeks. I’m not entirely sure which to pick, but this matchup offers upside for both backs.

Contrarian Play: James Conner $5800 (@ PIT) – James Conner revenge game. Conner returns home to Pittsburgh where he played his college ball and began his professional career. He hasn’t been producing, which should suppress his ownership, but he is affordable.

Cheaper Dart Throw: Antonio Gibson $4500 (vs. MIA) – The score likely will not be very close. The Commanders are going to be throwing a lot. Gibson should see plenty of work in the passing game.

WR

Tyreek Hill $9600 (@ WAS) – The most dangerous WR against the worst secondary in the league. This is a hefty price, but Tyreek is the one player I would consider paying the price for.

Keenan Allen $9000 (@ NE) – Keenan Allen has been able to produce regardless of matchup this year. He is pretty much the only game in town right now for Justin Herbert when it comes to reliable targets. New England won’t have an answer for him.

Contrarian/GPP: AJ Brown $8800 (vs. SF) – AJ Brown has taken a backseat to Devonta Smith over the past two weeks. However, the 49ers can be beat in the secondary, and this game will likely be a shootout. Brown’s ownership could be a little lower making him a strong play.

Jaylen Waddle $7600 (@ WAS) – If you don’t want to pay up for Tyreek Hill, You can save $2K and use Waddle.

Chris Olave $6900 (vs. DET) – If Olave plays, this is a good matchup. The Lions’ secondary has not been good of late. Olave also looked great in the first half Week 12.

Deebo Samuel $6200 (@ PHI) – If you want a piece of the 49ers passing game, you can take Deebo and save $1K from the price of Aiyuk. I think this matchup profiles better for Samuel than Aiyuk too.

George Pickens $4800 (vs. ARI) – The offense accumulated over 400 yards for the first time in the post-Matt Canada-era offense. This is a good matchup for the Steelers.

Jahan Dotson $4600 (vs. MIA) – Aside from a Week 10 goose egg, Dotson has been solid since Week 8. This game figures to carry a lot of volume for the Commanders’ passing game, so we can pay down here for Dotson.

Dart throw/lineup filler/GPP plays: Devante Parker $3300, AT Perry $3300, Jonathan Mingo $3300, Jameson Williams $3600

TE

George Kittle $6200 (@ PHI) – This is a good matchup for Kittle with the highest implied point total of the week. Not the worst spot to pay up for a TE.

Sam LaPorta $5600 (@ NO) – The Saints haven’t been great at covering TEs as they’re ranked 24th. LaPorta is coming off a solid outing on Thanksgiving, and he has entrenched himself as the second option in the passing game.

*Dalton Schultz $5000 (vs. DEN) – If he plays, he has a great matchup. Follow the injury report, as he currently isn’t practicing with a hamstring injury.

* If Olave and/or Shaheed are out: Juwan Johnson $3400 (vs. DET) –  With the possibility of Michael Thomas, Rashid Shaheed, and Chris Olave missing the game, Carr will need to throw to somebody. Johnson saw seven targets in Week 12 with injuries.

Cade Otton $3200 (vs. CAR) – Otton has at least four catches in six of the last seven games. This gives him a solid floor at this price range and will allow us to pay up elsewhere.

Hunter Henry $3100 (vs. LAC) – Hunter Henry revenge game? The Chargers don’t defend the position well, and the Patriots will likely be without Demario Douglas. Bailey Zappe is likely to start and will probably throw to Hunter Henry often. It is risky as he saw 0 targets in Week 12, but the position is barren this week.

D/ST

LA Rams $3700 (vs. CLE) – The Rams are likely going to be facing Joe Flacco off the street.

Buccaneers $3600 (vs. CAR) – The Bucs get Bryce Young, and the Panthers are home. There is a risk of the Panthers playing inspired football post-Frank Reich. But this offense still won’t light the world on fire.

Falcons $3400 (@ NYJ) – The Falcons face Tim Boyle in Week 13.

Contrarian/Lower price: Lions $3000 (@ NO) – The Saints are very banged up on offense, and the Lions should be angry after an embarrassing Thanksgiving loss.
