We’ve had two contests running, the first being for using our remade Fantasy Football Team Name Generator and yesterday’s Steiner Sports Giveaway. The first was for a Razzball T-Shirt (of your choice) and the second was for $100.00 to use on Steiner Sports Memorabilia Store (which has some pretty awesome stuff.) Both winners were chosen randomly by Rudy, that way if you didn’t win, you can just blame him. I usually find that to be my de facto position at all times anyhow, so I’m sure he’s used to it. So congratulations to the two Razzball readers, you’ll find their names after the jump!

Along with your Week 8 Rankings and FanDuel Week 8 Cheatsheet… (The Rest of Season Rankings have been updated and can be found here.)

Join myself and your fellow readers in a special Razzball-only Contest! Buy-in is just $5.00 and the top-12 finishers in a 55-team league are all part of the prize pool! Sign up here!

Fantasy Football Team Name Generator Razzball T-Shirt Winner: Teddy Heater

Heads up the ROS didn’t push thru the update (at least not yet)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Peanut: I think it should be up now. Thanks!

  2. Zandy says:
    (link)

Hold on trading McFadden given this overnight Randle news? Or even more reason to sell high?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Maybe ask for more. Be sure to let the guy know that Randle is about to go MIA.

      • Swarley says:
        (link)

@Jay: DMC and JStew for Yeldon – still worth doing?

        • Swarley says:
          (link)

@Swarley: Gore and DMC for Lacy?

          • Zandy says:
            (link)

@Swarley: swarley! The hijacker asking the same questions I have as follow up. Love iy

            Jay says:
            (link)

@Swarley: I like the idea of this one a lot.

            • Swarley says:

@Jay: what about the yeldon one?

              • Jay

                Jay says:
                (link)

@Swarley: It’s okay, but I think now is the time to buy low on Lacy.

  3. Yo says:

Would you trade forsett for dez and Ebron? Ppr league, rest of team below

    QB – Rodgers
    WR – Antonio brown
    WR – Keenan Allen
    WR – donte moncrief
    RB – forsett
    RB – gurley
    TE – kelce
    Flex – Jonathan Stewart
    BN – Antonio Andrews
    BN – j bell
    BN – Thomas Rawls
    BN – Chris Polk
    BN – orleans darkwa

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Yo: Sure. Move JStew to your RB2 and Dez to the flex?

  4. G says:
    (link)

    Hey Jay,

PPR one flex league. Im listing my RB and WRs below. I was in need for a RB and so far I have just agreed to a trade of Hurns and Wallace for Gio Bernard which is now in voting process. But I was also just offered Jonathan Stewart for my Kendall Wright. If it wasn’t for the other trade I would jump on it but wondering if giving up 3 WRs is a good idea.

My RBs: Leveon Bell, Ellington, Spiller, Ryan Mathews, and soon to be Giovanni Bernard
My Wrs: Calvin, AJ Green, Stefon Diggs, Kendall Wright, Nate Washington, and will soon be losing Hurns and Mike Wallace

    Thanks in advance

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@G: I really like that deal, but you don’t have the depth to do it…

      • G says:
        (link)

@Jay: if I were to adjust the original trade to include ellington instead of Wallace would you do the second deal for Stewart?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@G: yeah, I think that would work.

  5. Benny says:
    (link)

Which side do you like in these two trades –

Matt Ryan and Hyde for Palmer and Watkins
    Lacy for Dion Lewis

Here is my team in a .5 ppr-

    Qb- Ryan
    RB- Ingram
    Wr- Calvin
    Wr- Cobb
    TE- Bennett
    Flex- Hyde
    Flex- C West
    B- Dion Lewis
    B- Mariota
    B- rashard Jennings
    B- Brandon Oliver
    B- Terrence Williams

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Benny: Ryan and Lacy side.

  6. Jake says:
    (link)

Would you get rid of Joe Randle to add someone like David Cobb ?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Jake: I’m fine with that.

  7. S.H says:
    (link)

Hey Jay which side do you prefer in a h2h ppr league.

Mcfadden, tannehill and K.White (Chi) for Bradford/Fitzpatrick, Forsett, Perriman and a 2nd round pick..

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@S.H: White side ever so slighty.

      • S.H says:
        (link)

        @Jay:
Would it change any knowing that it is a dynasty league

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@S.H: Oh yeah, I assumed that going in. I like White long term is what did it for me.

    • Mantis Toboggan MD says:
      (link)

@S.H: has to be that assumption, nobody else is stashing k.white.

  8. Kendrick Llama says:
    (link)

    Jay..

Super flex PPR -1 for qb sacks pick 2: Maclin, Diggs, Russell (leaning on the two wideouts as -1 for sacks with Russell has killed value)

Also: if starting Maclin, would you use Gore of Chark West or stick with West. Currently have west in, but afraid of two guys on same team…

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Kendrick Llama: I’d stick with West. If they were the same position, I might have reconsidered.

      • Kendrick Llama says:
        (link)

        @Jay: what should I do about Diggs/Maclin/Wilson?

  9. Teddy Heater says:
    (link)

    Jay,
Great picks Rudy!!! I feel like I should be shopping for an appliance to thank the name generator for the assist. Real quick I was trying to move a WR now Dez is back and to my surprise someone actually accepted. I know I probably gave up a little more on my end, but Staks and Jennings weren’t getting it done. Thoughts on the trade? I moved AJ for Forsett so now I’m left with…

    Rivers
    Dez
    Evans
    James Jones
    Latavius
    Forsett
    Orange Julius/Seferian-Jenk
    Diggs
Bench: Austin, Diggs, Starks, Jennings, Tyrod

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Teddy Heater: Congrats on the shirt Teddy! I’ll be sending out an email today or tomorrow.

And yeah, I think based on the results, you did fine.

      • Teddy Heater says:
        (link)

        @Jay: Thanks on both!

      • Teddy Heater says:
        (link)

@Jay: You think Ben will out shoot Tannehill this week? I’ve been flip flopping all week.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Teddy Heater: Yeah, I think he wins that match-up handidly.

          • Teddy Heater says:
            (link)

            @Jay: Werd!

  10. Jake says:
    (link)

I have Ryan as my starting QB I feel like I need to drop a RB to acquire another QB to cover the buy and possibly play over Ryan the QB’s that are available are Winston, Cutler and Cousins the backs that I feel like I could drop are Randle or Jones is it safe to drop Randle for one of these QB’s or would you hold ?

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jake: I think it’s safe to drop Randle, probably for Cutler right now.

  11. STL says:
    (link)

Would you trade Latavius Murray for Lacy straight up at this point in the season?

Also, I feel like you’re a little low on J. Stewart this week. He’s gotten quite a few carries the last couple weeks and he’s going against a pretty terrible run D. I’m trying to decide between him and Charcandrick West as my RB2.

    • STL says:
      (link)

@STL: Sorry, forgot to mention PPR – is that where you’re seeing the biggest difference between JStew and West?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@STL: Oh yeah, I totally buying on Lacy. Word is he’s finally healthy. I have Stewart over West there in the Rankings, so I agree.

  12. Clint says:
    (link)

I’m starting to see what Grey gets hot & bothered by in terms of fantasy projections versus rankings on lots of other sites. It’s utterly ridiculous to me that they are completely different. It’s almost like rankers are trying to hedge their bets so they can defend themselves later if the studs outperform their projections. Jay, can do you have a rational reason this exists besides the assumption I made? Just makes no sense to me otherwise. If one thinks Stafford’s going to outperform Rodgers this week, why not rank them that way and be consistent?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Clint: I would agree with what you say, totally. It’s how I approach the rankings system, I basically ask myself, will Player A outproduce Player B and adjust accordingly. Basically a massive start/sit tool if you will. There’s a lot of metrics on how these numbers are conceived, but at the end of the day, I think having those metrics are a good thing. Frankly, whether or not an “expert” is 58% accurate compared to 60% accurate, I have no idea how much difference that makes, but I’d assume that a 58% accuracy is helping the readership more than say, a 50% rating.

      • Clint says:
        (link)

        @Jay:
        Gotcha.

Superflex question again: assuming A-Rod’s my QB1, Julio/Calvin are WR1/2 locks (both per rankings), whome would you start of Stafford/Ryan/Jeffrey as the superflex? Per rankings, I assumed Matty Light, not Matty Ice or Alshon.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Clint: Leaning Stafford here, but Ryan is right behind. It’s quite literally a coin flip.

  13. Money Mike says:
    (link)

Mornin Jay, I have some doubt as to who to play on my flex. I have Greg Olsen as my top TE and I basically play Delanie walker as my FLEX normally, but I need some sweet upside this week against a worthy opponent. Whos the better FLEX play? Kendall Wright, Walker, N. Washington, Abdullah (meh). Michael Floyd is on waivers too, and if John Brown doesn’t play does he get some consideration?
    Thanks for your hard work

    • Money Mike says:
      (link)

      @Money Mike: *PPR league

    • Money Mike says:
      (link)

@Money Mike: Forgot to mention I also have Lafell playing tonight, add him to the question also

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Money Mike: In a PPR, I think Walker is still your best bet there. But Floyd would get some consideration of Brown were to be out.

  14. Allan says:
    (link)

    Jay,
I’ve got Reed and Ebron at TE in a standard league. Ladarius Green is available. If Gates is ruled out would you rather pick up Green over Ebron? If Sefarian-Jenkins plays against the Falcons where would you rank him? He’s also available.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Allan: Yeah, I’d rather have Green there. If Jenkins goes, I might put him in the 15ish range maybe?

  15. Drekkan says:
    (link)

So I’m in an ESPN standard scoring non-PPR league. Starting 1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex plus DST/Kicker.

Thanks to offloading Jordan Matthews for Dez Bryant two weeks ago, and picking up Big Ben off waivers last week, my team’s current construction:

QB – Big Ben (Blake Bortles backup)
    WR – Dez Bryant, ODB
RB – Carlos Hyde, Matt Forte
    Flex – Allen Robinson
    TE – Ladarius Green
    DST – Carolina
    K – warm body

Bench Depth – Duke Johnson Jr., Loanard Hankerson, Davante Adams, Willie Snead

My biggest question mark is what to do at TE. currently available are Jordan Reed and Eric Ebron. Is it worth it to drop Ladarius Green for either? Maybe package together some of my receiver depth plus Bortles to a QB desperate team to pull out a guy like Eifert or another TE? Just sit pat?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Drekkan: Some savvy moves there. I’m going with Green one more week, and then looking to upgrade. Reed is a good bet.

      • Drekkan says:
        (link)

@Jay: Thanks! Don’t know why the owner of Big Ben waited until last Sunday to offload him, or how I managed to get him despite being 9 of 12 in waiver order.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Drekkan: Yeah, pretty weird. Oh well, his loss is your gain.

        • Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:
          (link)

@Drekkan: he could’ve known if he wasn’t getting full value till right before he came back. Would you have paid what you did when he went out, if the answer is even possibly “no” he got value didn’t he?

  16. William Hung says:
    (link)

Someone offered me Jordan Matthews for James Jones – do I bank on a turnaround?

Current WRs in addition to Jones – Dez Bryant, TY Hilton, Martavis Bryant

  17. lb. sand says:
    (link)

Give D Martin to get Cobb & Moncrief?
Shallow PPR league starting 3 WR, 2RB and 2 Flex
Other RB’s owned: L Bell, Forsett, L Miller, McFadden, Gore
WR’s owned: Beckham, Edelman, A Rob, Cooks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@lb. sand: Yeah, I think that shores up your WR group.

  18. TOGMAN says:
    (link)

    PPR league.

Should I drop any of: Ertz, Watson, Crabtree, Taylor for ASJ?

    QB: Fitzpatrick, Taylor
    RB: Bell, Woodhead, West, Hillman
WR: Hopkins, Green, Cooper, Landry, Crabtree
    TE: Watson, Ertz

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@TOGMAN: Watson for ASJ is fine.

      • TOGMAN says:
        (link)

@Jay: For the possibility of ASJ not playing this week, I would need Waston to start with Ertz on a bye. Drop Ertz or Crabtree for ASJ? Hold?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@TOGMAN: Eh, holding is fine. Crabtree is droppable though, but useful depth.

  19. andy says:
    (link)

Do you think Moncrief will struggle the next two wks vs CAR and DEN?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@andy: Probably against Denver, he should be okay against Carolina.

  20. Andrew says:
    (link)

Offered an interesting trade yesterday: his Gio Bernard + Calvin Johnson for my Ivory and Diggs… initially said no but with Ivory’s injury prone-ness should I take a second look? 14 team league, standard scoring.

    • CMUTimmah says:
      (link)

@Andrew: Diggs doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere. Ivory is strong on a team that is going to be run first as their defense holds other teams.

You’re in good shape. Hold. Calvin is a shell, and now that an Offensive Cooter is running the offense, who knows what it’s going to look like. Calvin and Gio will still have occasional monster games. There’s no doubt there. But Diggs/Ivory should get you consistency… consistency is key.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Andrew: I like what Timmah had to say here. If it was PPR, I would have reconsidered.

  21. CMUTimmah says:
    (link)

Three money leagues, three Arian Foster kicks in the Clinton Dix. Getting him in the 6th or later looked like a steal… until it stopped looking that way. Now I’m in scramble mode. Here’s my survival guide:

10 team league – .5 PPR. Lost Jamaal Charles, drafted CJ anderson (bleh), and lost Foster. Good thing I drafted RB heavy to protect against this… left with Latavious Murray and Hillman… not pretty but losing your top 3 running backs drafted should be uglier.

10 team league – PPR. Lost Arian… left with Forsett. Backups are Duke Johnson, Theo Riddick, and Karlos Williams… need help badly.

12 team league, standard. Lost Jordy Nelson the night of our fantasy draft. (way too early)… lost Foster and Joe Randle last week. Dion Lewis, Hillman, Karlos Williams, bleh.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on David Cobb… worth a stash in hopes he takes the majority of the carries? Is he going to at least be a bench worthy RB 3/4 with a possible RB2 ceiling? Desperate times…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@CMUTimmah: I like Cobb as a stash. I think you have him pegged correctly. And my condolences on Foster and Charles. And I guess Anderson too. So much sadness!

  22. Steve Stevenson says:
    (link)

Standard scoring plus 1pt/25 ret yd. Sitting in 2nd and leading the league in pts by 150, but I have a tough matchup this week. My opponent is weak at TE, though, and starting Rudolph. I have Gronk at TE and Reed on my bench. Ebron was just dropped and comes off waivers Saturday. ASJ is also available. I have #10 waiver, my opp has #12. Would you pick up one or both TEs to block my opponent? Drops would be Marvin Jones (my WR4, and in this format, 15 pts behind Tavon Austin for the season) and/or David Johnson (RB5, but only 1 pt behind L. Murray for the season due to return yds).

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: I’d block, sure. Jones for Ebron. I know Smokey loves Ebron a lot this week too.

  23. jojo says:
    (link)

Should I trade away Lamar Miller and Kelce for Gronk? 12 team redraft

    thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @jojo: I’d hold there.

  24. Kendrick Llama says:
    (link)

Jay I was offered the following deal (-1 point for QB sacks and 3 points per QB TD, Superflex)

    Give: Wilson and Jeremy Hill
    Get: Brees and Decker

    Current lineup:

    QB: Wilson
    RB: Freeman
    RB: Gore
    WR: OBJ
    WR: A-Rob
    TE: Eifert
    Super flex: Tannehill/Maclin/Diggs

Bench: Chark West, Jordan Reed, Tevin Coleman

    Do I do it?

  25. JBagKY says:
    (link)

Which 2 to start at RB? Freeman, Miller, McFadden, Woodhead? 1/2 PPR league, leaning toward Miller and Freeman, your thoughts?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @JBagKY: I agree, totally.

  26. friar says:
    (link)

In my 14-team non-ppr league, I ended up with both Brady and Luck and, since my team is pretty mediocre (currently 3-4), I’ve been trying all season to flip one of them for an upgrade elsewhere, so far with no takers. However, in response to one of my many trade offers, I just got a counter-offer of Gronk and Davante Adams for Luck and James Jones.

The Packers WR swap seems like a clear downgrade to me, but not necessarily a huge one, and the opportunity to land Gronk makes me feel like this is probably a no-brainer. My one hesitation, though, is the worry that this won’t help me at my biggest area of need (RB) and I’ll use up my strongest trade asset without fixing my team’s core problem.

    Would you recommend I…
    A) Accept the deal NOW. Duh.
    B) Counter by trying to get a bench RB instead of Adams. I’d probably try for Mathews, but he also has Abdullah and Spiller.
    C) Hold out and hope I can parlay one of my QBs into a starting RB.

    Roster:
    QB: Brady, Luck
RB: Hyde, Anderson, Ellington, Riddick, Oliver
WR: Steve Smith, Moncrief, James Jones, Wallace
    TE: Bennett, Cameron

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@friar: I’d go for B and try to land Ameer, then Mathews. If you do make that trade, I’d dangle Jones for some RB depth. A Gore maybe.

      • friar says:
        (link)

@Jay:Thanks! If I do make the trade, I’d be giving up Jones as part of the deal, so would have to dangle someone else. Any other WR-for-RB deals you think I should pursue?

Also, if he won’t give up a RB (entirely possible, since his RB situation is also pretty dire), should I do the trade as originally offered, or decline it?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@friar: Yeah, I miss-worded that. If he won’t give up a RB, I’d go shopping for one with Jones.

          • friar says:
            (link)

@Jay: And, in that case, otherwise stick with the team I have? i.e. keep Luck, don’t get Gronk?

            • Jay

              Jay says:
              (link)

@friar: Have you tried Luck and Smith for Gronk and Adams? Might be worth trying.

  27. Adam says:
    (link)

If John Brown is out this weekend vs Browns…
Would u play Michael Floyd over Jarvis Landry?
    Standard league
    Thx

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Adam: It’ll be close. I’d still say Landry at this point though.

  28. J Dubber says:

@Moscowitz: I think the two guys you have are better.

      • Moscowitz says:

@Moscowitz: Maybe long term, but I’m still iffy there. I think they are about even depending on how Thomas’s role grows. I think he can only go up from here.

Would you give up either Hyde or Bernard to get Moncrief?
    Can start up to 4 WR (2 WR, 1 W/T, 1 W/R) , and 2 RB (1 RB, 1 W/R)
    Other RB’s owned: L Bell, L Miller
WR’s owned: Cobb, A Rob, Hurns, Crabtree, M Jones

Also do you like Ertz over J Cameron ROS?
    Thx

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@lb. sand: I like Cameron slightly more than Ertz ROS, and I’d probably trade Bernard for Moncrief.

  31. Jensen says:
    (link)

    Jay,
If you could trade Hopkins next week while on his bye, for a RB1 who has already had a bye, would you do it? I’m worried about Hopkins ROS. Bye – @Cincy – Revis Island – New Orleans – @Buffalo – pats – @Vonte Davis – @tenn.

    scare you at all??

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jensen: I’m okay with the strat, but as always, it depends on the return.

  32. Blake says:

not sure what to do – In my PPR league I have:

    D freeman
    L Miller
    D Woodhead
    C Hyde

Freeman is a no brainer – but cant decide between Miller and woodhead. Miller seems unstoppable in the last 2 week so he could go off but woodhead is clearly ahead of Gordon and is great in PPR league. per your rankings it should be woodhead but it is hard to bench miller

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Blake: Yeah, in this case, I think they’re close enough to go either way. Sometimes, it’s about going with your gut. I’m going Woodhead, but that could be slight homerism as well.

  33. Nick says:
    (link)

Ugh, J Randle is killing me between the injury, potential suspension & going AWOL I have had it…but you cant drop him in a 10-team just yet, right?

I was thinking, the McFadden owner has DMC benched (he has Forte, CJ2K & L Miller starting), so I might be able to snag him away (but do I really want old man DMC?)…DMC owner has D Walker & Barnidge at TE…maybe I can flip him one of my TEs for DMC? I have Gates/L Green & Bennett…would you try either Gates or Bennett for DMC?

    • Nick says:
      (link)

@Nick: Just read Rotolance article & he feels Randle is a definite drop candidate…considering I only have AP/DeMarco/Duke J at RB, I definitely need the depth, but only options on waivers are Andrews, McCluster, K Robinson, David Johnson & Sproles…

meanwhile at WR, Marvin Jones, Tate, T Austin, Nate Washington, Lockett, Roddy, Desean Jax, T Smith, R Woods, Baldwin & Wheaton are all available…

Do you think I should cut Randle for one of those RBs for depth? Or take a WR off waivers (since those options are better)? Or hold? Tate could bounce back with a new OC…or not…

My wide-outs are Ty/Amari/D Adams & Garcon on bye/bench. As you know, my 3QBs & 3TEs are really hurting my roster space but that should change after this week when I can drop Peyton or Stafford (holding Taylor) & drop Green if Gates comes back (holding Bennett/Gates)

      • Nick says:
        (link)

@Nick: Forgot to mention, David Cobb also available, if you think he might be the better bench warmer over Andrews from that backfield..

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Nick: Not, but he very well could be in a few weeks.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: I actually think he’s droppable, depending on who you’re picking up. I wouldn’t target DMC either, someone breathes on him the wrong way he’s done for the year.

      • Nick says:
        (link)

@Jay: Which option do you like best above? Also, if AP does not go this week (I think he will but they are hyping all his injuries & 2 missed practice, which is common that he misses practice)…so then I would need an RB since I only have Duke J with DeMarco on bye….yikes…but the WR options on waivers are better…

        • Nick says:
          (link)

@Nick: RB: D Cobb, Andrews, McCluster, K Robinson, David Johnson & Sproles

WR: Marvin Jones, Tate, T Austin, Nate Washington, Lockett, Roddy, Desean Jax, T Smith, R Woods, Baldwin & Wheaton

          I have AP/DeMarco (bye)/Duke J & dropping J Randle
          WR: Ty/Amari/Garcon/D Adams

          • Nick says:
            (link)

@Nick: & if AP or Davante Adams do not play, this pickup will be plugged in immediately…that probably will impact who you would recommend

  34. JFresh says:

Yo Jay. I need some advice of my 2nd WR start this week. I’m in a PPR league and I got Antonio Brown as my 1st. Should I start TY Hilton or Steve Smith? I’m leaning towards Steve Smith because he has a somewhat easier matchup (although both have tough matchups this week). Then again it will be difficult cheering for Smith when he’s going up against my Chargers.

    Who should I start? Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@JFresh: THEY’RE MY CHARGERS YOU HEATHEN. I’m leaning T.Y. Hilton here. I actually think the Ravens are worse than the Raiders, so Smith may get some, but I’d rather have Hilton’s ceiling.

      • JFresh says:

@Jay: Haha love the passion. We need more Charger fans like you. Anyways, thanks for the advice. I’m goin Hilton

in a 10 teamer where i joined accidentally thinking it was a mock draft i’ve now had the best team by far, and this is now with losing foster and charles. i go down with the ship, but the competitiveness of the league is utter joke. I waivered hillman and stewart making me stewart/forsett/hillman/c.west/l.murray, start exactly 2 RB standard. with this randle news grab FREEJOBDMC (at c.michael’s expense, unless DMC remembers what his body used to be made of) over hillman or west?

        2. same league, while i'm here, drop m.bennett for any of walker/reed (post bye, unless of course he gets hurt during bye, which is entirely possible)/shut the barnidge door? or just stream these bad mother jabbers?

One dude in my league wants eifert and he is stacked at rb – he has gurley, lacy, forsett, duke and Jonathan stewart. I could offer eifert for forsett or stewart. Thoughts? I’m hurting at rb, thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Mike: I might try to send him Yeldon and Eifert for Lacy and Duke. Otherwise, yeah, Eifert straight up for JStew or Forsett is fair.

Just got offered Lacy for gore & Hilton
    Accept or counter?
    Gore and Brown for Lacy?
Gore Hilton Demaryius for Lacy and AJ Green?
    Other ideas?

I won’t win any t-shirts, but at the rate y’all advise me, I think I owe you 2-3 t-shirt purchases by season’s end.

8-team PPR league. Rosters pretty deep. We play QB-WR-WR-RB-RB-TE-Flex-Flex. I only get one more add this week. My team is:

    QB: Big Ben, Palmer
    RB: Bell, Hill, Yeldon, West
    WR: Green, Hilton, A-Rob, Amari, J.Brown, S.Smith
    TE – Kelce, Gates
    K – Josh Brown
    DEF – Pittsburgh

Question: Do I drop Matthews, Gates, or PIT in order to add one of Woodhead, Duke, McFadden, Sims, the Jets D., the Giants D., MIN D., Robbie Gould, or Blair Walsh?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Joe: Haha, if that’s the case, it means we did our job!

I’d wanted Woodhead over Mathews, and probably DMC over Gates at the moment. But since it’s just one move, I’d grab Woodhead.

  49. Blake says:

So jay – in my standard league I was thinking about swapping out wideouts. I have:

    D Thomas
    A boldin
    S Johnson

    B: Roddy White
    Waiver: R Randle

Boldin will be up for a lot of opportunities with St Louis shutting down the run, S Johnson is in a pass happy offense, R white should see an uptick in targets due to hankerson being out or will those go to Tamme? is randle better than all of these guys? not sure which ones to start outside of D Thomas in my standard league (only can start 3WR no flex)

    • Blake says:
      (link)

      @Blake:

Julio & Chris Johnson or Freeman & Hurns

    Thanks

    • Jay

@booya: In a standard league, probably Freeman and Hurns. Barely. PPR shifts it to Julio.

  51. Nick says:

    Hey Jay, roster for week 8;

    QB-Stafford
    RB- AP/Duke J
    WR-Ty/Amari/Davante Adams
    Flex-L Green
    TE-Bennett
    K-Tucker
    D-STL
Bench- D Murray (bye), Garcon (bye), Taylor (bye), P Manning, Gates (injured) & dropping J Randle

Which WR or RB from options below would you pickup, dropping J Randle? I might have to plug a WR in for D Adams if he does not go so thinking I have to grab a WR…but my RB depth is pretty bad…regardless Ill be making more drops/additions after this week, dropping a QB & TE…

    waiver options
RB- D Cobb, Andrews, McCluster, K Robinson, Darkwa, David Johnson & Sproles
WR- Marvin Jones, Tate, T Austin, Nate Washington, Lockett, Roddy, Desean Jax, T Smith, R Woods, Baldwin, Aiken & Wheaton

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Nick: David Cobbs is a neato stash. I think Adams is a go, was updated to probable.

  52. Mex says:
    (link)

Is it a bad idea to trade Antonio Brown for Eddie Lacy in a 12-team keeper league where I have Jordan Matthews, Odell, and Hopkins? For RB I have Hill and McCoy, Michael, and Robinson and that’s really my only week spot. I can only offer Brown because of our salary cap, but Lacy is going to be a relatively cheap keeper next year. Brown was $41/250 and Lacy somehow went for $61/250. I have the cap space but I’m not sure if it’s worth it considering Lacy’s season so far, but I have confidence he will turn it around. The only other trade piece I have is Matthews because he is $5 so as a keeper he has huge value but it’s been tough to get rid of him. The guy who has Lacy also has Gurley but I don’t think he would trade him for anyone.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mex: I would hold. I think he turns it around, but in that type of dynasty, I’m still holding onto a younger receiver.

    A. this week they get RAMS anyway
    B. Bush isn’t good and even if Hyde is out till post bye i can start andrews/michael/m.jones for a few weeks anyway

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mantis Toboggan MD: Yeah, it’s okay. Then again, I’m not out there rushing to grab him. If you have a current option on the roster, like Andrews, I think he actually will do better.

      • Mantis Toboggan MD says:
