with this lineup in dynasty i may have found a person to move donnell to. we only start 1 RB/2 WR/1 TE/ 1 non-QB flex. my roster being
    mccoy/RG3
    morris/helu/taliaferro/michael/peterson/sims (IR)
    garcon/d-jax/roberts/lee/t.austin
    reed/donnell/ASJ
opp needs a TE badly and has beckham jr/evans/decker/prince amukamura (CB). CB is a very weak scoring position and prince is 4th best this year. my thinking is i could use an WR/CB upgrade. Since this is IDP i’ll ask kevin too. which of these sounds best
    1. donnell for amukamura
    2. donnell and taliaferro (opp could use RB) for amukamura and 1 of those WR
    3. donnell and sims for amukamura and a lesser one of those WR (whichever that is)
    4. donnell and t.austin for amukamura and a WR
    5. donnell/1 RB out of sims/taliaferro, austin for amukamura/2 of his WR

knowing what’s ranking for dynasty of decker/beckham/evans first would be useful.

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@goodfold2: t.austin has more value than it appears, he’s back on kick returns again lately, and this is half PPR with half pt per carry and .1 pts for all yards, including returns. throwing yards worth less.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@goodfold2: The IDP rankings get posted at 8 this morning, so definitely bounce this off of Kevin. For me. I like number 3 the best.

  2. MrT says:
    (link)

Should I trade Gordon and M Ryan for A. Rodgers and Baldwin? I’m currently 5 -3 tied for 2nd in my division in a 12 team league. Currently playing Hillman at my flex where Gordon would go upon his return. Also have M Ball, Hopkins, Randle as possible flex choices to go with Balwin as a flex choice going forward. Rodgers would be replacing Ryan for me at QB.

    • MrT says:
      (link)

      PPR league

      • Random Dude says:
        (link)

@MrT: I’d do it. Hillman should have good ROS value out of the flex.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MrT: Yeah, I’m okay with it.

  3. Mike says:
    (link)

Hey — in a 0.5 pt PPR, trade offer:

Trade offer of Lynch + Rivers for ellington and joique bell. I’m not too big on Bell (currently use him as flex) and need an upgrade at QB (Romo….). Rivers has a cappy near-term schedule (Mia and then bye) but overall solid longer-term option. My biggest question is the Lynch for Ellington side given a lot of uncertainty on the Lynch side (though I love his upcoming OAK, NYG matchups). Thoughts? Thanks.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mike: Yeah, I like it for you.

  4. Poppy's Sloppy says:
    (link)

NEWS FOR GARCON OWNERS! (and it’s good, or will be soon, probably). RG3 is playing this week, and Garcon actually got thrown at a lot with RG3, but not with Cousins, only slightly more so with McCoy in place. Those targets have to come out of somewhere, and i’m guessing it’s roberts, followed by maybe Reed.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Poppy’s Sloppy: Yup, RG3’s return is reflected in the rankings.

      • Chicken Dinner says:
        (link)

@Jay: Morris’ game should improve as well.

  5. Nick says:
    (link)

in non-ppr 10team, in what order should I try to trade my Edelman for K Allen, Garcon or White…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: You have it in the correct order.

  6. Jimmyz says:
    (link)

Need to pick up a QB for this week due to bye week. Thoughts on the following options:

    Hoyer (v TB)
    Alex Smith (v NYJ)

Or, do I get really crazy, with one of the QBs from the Minnesota-Washington game (both Bridgewater and RGIII are available)?

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jimmyz: Smith is the safe pick, Bridgewater is the wildcard.

  7. Jake says:
    (link)

Jay seems like you and Sky have different opinions of the trade that I recently made. I trade Ellington, Gronk and Randle for Calvin, Forsett and Olsen you liked the Calvin side and Sky said he wouldnt have made this trade. I thought it was a good trade for me since I am 7-1 and looking for cake matchups for tthe playoffs and Calvin’s schedule is sweet so is Olsen’s and Forsett’s isnt to shappy either compared to Ellington facing the niners twice and Seahawks once. I wasnt high on Randle and feel like the difference between Gronk and Olsen is comparable most weeks Olsen has been fairly consistant. Youyr thougth on why you liked this deal beeter for my side ?

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jake: That’s fine. I just think you are getting the best player in the deal, and the surrounding names are all close enough in value. I like the Calvin side, and to be honest, it’s not close for me.

  8. Nimrod says:
    (link)

Due to byes I’m left choosing between J. Hill or J. Cook for a flex position in a 12 team PPR league. What are your thoughts?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nimrod: Eh. Might go Cook there.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nimrod: I just want to add, it depends on Gio’s status.

  9. Erin Andrews says:
    (link)

Mornin Jay! In 12 team 1 pt ppr, is Pierre Thomas droppable if u need to pick up a kicker or defense for this week? What are your projectections & though on Pierre ROS ? thanks man

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Erin Andrews: Yeah, it’s okay. I think Ingram’s the guy at this point.

  10. ryanoger says:
    (link)

Should I roll with Big Ben based on your rankings, I have Tannehill as of now for my A Rodgers fill in? .5 PPR league

    thanks man
    Ryan

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@ryanoger: Yeah, I’d follow the rankings here.

  11. Scott says:
    (link)

I’m a little worried about VJax’s rib so I’m going to put Andrew Hawkins in until I find out more.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Scott: Agreed.

  12. Gio says:
    (link)

Half PPR, trade away Gordon/Gore/Crabtree for Bradshaw/Allen? Gore is my 3rd RB which is where Bradshaw would slide in. TE is Ertz and my 1 and 2 WR are Green and Dez.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Gio: I like the players you are getting back, but it feels like a slight overpay. I think you should be able to do that without Gordon.

  13. James says:
    (link)

Some one just dropped Ben Tate in my league. We start 2 RBs don’t have Flex. My RBs are Lacy (on bye), Hillman, Oliver, D Robinson, R Matthews. Should I drop either Oliver or Robinson to pick up Tate? I have 11th waiver position but might end up with him if I act on it.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @James: I might drop Oliver.

  14. SMLV1 says:
    (link)

Drop wayne to add Randle? I already have beckham jr.

What makes you rank randle over Beckham? Would it be wise to start both randle.and beckham? Or t. Williams over one of them?

    • Scott says:
      (link)

@SMLV1: Same question. I’m considering going all-in on Giants vs. Indy sans Cornerback

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@SMLV1: I still like Wayne here, but the call of Randle over Beckham is totally gut driven. It’s not crazy just to go with Williams, but only if Romo is starting.

  15. TJ says:
    (link)

If Bernard ends up downgraded, which seems likely from what I read yesterday, who do you like better in a PPR flex this weekend- Jeremy Hill or Rainey?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @TJ: Hill.

  16. Chris says:
    (link)

    Hey Jay,

QB Stafford is missing on the list.

    thanks

    • Chris says:
      (link)

      @Chris:
      Hello Jay,
      Also WR Cobb is missing.

      • Chris says:
        (link)

        @Chris:
        Hey Jay,

sorry, was looking at the weekly rankings thinking it was the updated ROS.

        Thanks

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Chris: No worries!

  17. Tom says:
    (link)

Non ppr how much of a boost will hill get if benard is out. Would you play him over Ellington or Bradshaw

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Tom: Maybe over Bradshaw, not Ellington. This will be in the Sunday Rankings update for sure.

  18. STL says:
    (link)

Michael Floyd and Percy Harvin were both dropped this week. Which is the better pickup ROS?

    • Random Dude says:
      (link)

@STL: Gotta go with Floyd’s upside in Zona.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @STL: Floyd. It’s close though.

  19. Knibb High Football says:
    (link)

Jay – odd question. In a vacuum (PPR), what is brandon oliver and Andre johnson worth? I want to bundle two and try and make a trade. If you had those two who would you go after? (2 for 1)…AJ Green? McCoy? Lynch? Lacy? In this particular league, I’m 6-2 and stacked (thanks to your rankings). Thanks

  20. Wilsonian says:
    (link)

    1) Well damn, your rankings through my lineup for a loop. Would you make any changes here:

    QB: Brady
    WR: Hilton
    WR: LaFell
    WR: Smith, Sr.
    RB: Bradshaw
    RB: Vereen
    TE: Graham
    W/R: Oliver
    QB: Palmer

    BN: Edelman, M.Wallace, Denard, B.Tate

    0.5 PPR – 3 point bonus at 85 yards rec/100 yards rush – 6 point bonus at 135 yards rec/150 yards rush

    See any changes?

    2) Also, I need to drop one player from this roster for a kicker for the week. Who are you dropping?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Wilsonian: Lineup is fine, really. Probably would drop Wallace or Oliver.

      • Wilsonian says:
        (link)

@Jay: if I dropped Oliver, who gets the start in flex? I also moved LaFell out of the starting lineup for Wallace – you ok with that, or leave LaFell there?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Wilsonian: Probably Robinson. Though, I still kinda like Tate.

          And that’s fine on Wallace.

  21. Wilsonian says:
    (link)

Also, if you had your choice of Cincy or KC, who are you going with? I know you have Cincy higher, but even though they’re playing the Jags, they have been an anemic defense. At least KC has been a little better on the defensive side of the field.

*Special teams don’t count on our defenses, either

  22. Nick says:
    (link)

Hey Jay, another question…it is looking more and more like AJ Green won’t play based on recent reports…since I have Sanu on my bench, I might have to make a sunday swap, but who would it be?

I have A. Johnson, Cooks & Beckham in right now, which to swap if Green is 100% out?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: Yeah, I’d go Sanu for Beckham.

  23. Random Dude says:
    (link)

PPR: Give up Gio for Maclin?

Lineup (Play 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 Flex):
    RB: Gio, Ellington, Miller, Forsett
WR: Dez, TY, Benjamin, Allen, Floyd

My plan is then to unload a WR for Hillman. Which WRs would you give up for Hillman?

    • Random Dude says:
      (link)

@Random Dude: And the injury to Gio isn’t a consideration because I have Jeremy Hill, who would also be traded in the deal.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Random Dude: That’s fair, sure. And I’d try Benjamin.

  24. TobiasFunkeAnalRapist says:
    (link)

Morning bro, nice read I always enjoy the articles. I have a bit of a quagmire on my hands for this weeks lineup. .5 ppr league, starting Luck, Dez, Hillman, and Sanders already, have 3 open flex spots. Chose 3 out of these guys: Denard Robinson (thinking yes), Allen Robinson, Decker, Martevis Bryant, Bobby Rainey, Jeremy Hill. Hill is an auto start if Gio can’t go, but I’m leaning more toward Martavis over Allen and Decker. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

  25. DRB says:
    (link)

Any chance you could reflect the accuracy of ECR vs. Razzball in the results table? Thanks for the good stuff

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@DRB: I checked, and they don’t seem to provide that data. You can, at least, see there where my accuracy lies between the best and worst “expert”.

  26. Erin Andrews says:
    (link)

Taliaferro or Pierre Thomas ROS ?

  27. Mark says:
    (link)

Why is Denard Robinson so far down your WR rankings? Is that a mistake? A bunch of the WRs he’s behind in WR rankings, he’s ahead of in FLEX rankings.

    • Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:
      (link)

@Mark: generally RB have higher floors, since they WILL get carries, so that would be why he’d be higher since he also is a RB.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mark: Aubrey has your answer there. Dual eligibility.

  28. Charles says:
    (link)

Jay the Den @ NE game forcasts WNW 17 mph, Gusts: 30 mph with possible rain/snow. Am I benching Brady for Roethlisberger or am I over thinking this?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Charles: Game time decision, as weather conditions do play a role here.

  29. Bull in a Chinese Restaurant says:
    (link)

where does hill slot into PPR and standard rankings without GIO?
    2. where would weeden go in QB without romo?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Bull in a Chinese Restaurant: Not sure yet, I’m going to wait until a little bit to decide. Check out my updated rankings on Sunday.

      Near the bottom.

  30. Charles says:
    (link)

Jay one more thing. You and I were high on Kearse during the pre season. Now that Harvin is out I thought Kearse would break out and even take over the WR1 role in Seattle. What is going on over there? Kearse is still more explosive and their best redzone receiving threat.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Charles: Yeah, hasn’t materialized yet. There’s potential there still, but I’m not expecting much at this point.

  31. thomas pavella says:
    (link)

In your rest of season. Rankings you have denard robinson ranked pretty high in ppr then when you go to flex he’s down to 40 th ranked rb misprint??

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@thomas pavella: It’s auto-synced, so there are probably real reasons for that disparity.

  32. oppo taco says:
    (link)

you have them ranked 6th and 7th this week at QB, its a must win or Im out of the playoff contention. Roll out Cam Vs NO over Rivers @MIA?
    thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@oppo taco: It’s a coin flip, but I’m personally going Rivers.

  33. Chalupa Batman says:
    (link)

Flex Percy Harvin, Michael Crabtree or Charles Sims or Odell Becham jr

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chalupa Batman: Leaning Harvin, but be sure to double check updated Sunday rankings.

  34. Chicken Dinner says:
    (link)

Probably need to win out. (3-5) 2nd most points.

    Trade my Johnson(HOU)/Gordon for Demaryous?

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chicken Dinner: Yeah, if you need that immediate boost, sure.

  35. Clint says:
    (link)

I snatched up Hill with the news Gio may be out not only this weekend but another 2 weeks so would you still roll with Le’Veon at RB and Lamar at Flex in a ppr or insert Hill instead of the latter?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Clint: Probably.

  36. Dom B says:
    (link)

My roster can you give each player a rank like QB 1 or 2 RB 1 or 2 there can be multiple RB 1s etc thx

    Starters:

QB – Aaron Rodgers – Packers
RB – LeSean McCoy – Eagles
RB – Andre Ellington – Cardinals
WR – Kelvin Benjamin – Panthers
    WR – T.Y. Hilton – Colts
    WR – Michael Crabtree – 49ers
TE – Larry Donnell – Giants
PK – Steven Hauschka – Seahawks
DEF – Baltimore Ravens – Ravens

    Bench:
QB – Ben Roethlisberger – Steelers
RB – Fred Jackson – Bills
RB – Charles Sims – Buccaneers
WR – Odell Beckham – Giants
WR – Percy Harvin – Jets
TE – Delanie Walker – Titans

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Dom B: I’m not sure I understand the question.

  37. Dom B says:
    (link)

I meant like go through my roster and put what they are QB 1 or 2 RB 1 or 2 WR 1 or 2 and etc

    • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
      (link)

@Dom B: other than beckham ahead of crabtree (maybe also harvin ahead of crabtree, but behind beckham), and f-jax behind sims probably, you already have them in that order.

      • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
        (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: nevermind, you don’t mean for your team only ranked, what you need to do is wait for the soon forthcoming ROS rankings, and find the number for each of your players, and index it by each 12 being a group. so RB# 13 would be the best of RB #2’s.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dom B: Is there a better way to streamline that question for me? I don’t see what the usefulness of it would be.

      • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
        (link)

@Jay: he wants to have you take each and every one of his listed roster and tell him what number it would be across standard sized leagues. For what purpose i don’t know. This would be easy for him to do himself, but he’d need a ROS ranking list (was that out today, i saw yesterday about it)

  38. Chuckles Tiddlesworth says:
    (link)

Oh, man. I’m the guy with Brees and Cam. Huge showdown tonight. Big cans of beer. Anyway, I’ve got Cam in at starter … and I see this! Paralyzed with indecision. Gonna get some extra beer …

    • Chuckles Tiddlesworth says:
      (link)

Better now. Huffed some hairspray. Hosed anyway with my heavy hitters on bye this week. Gonna throw a Hail Mary with Cam and enjoy this game …

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chuckles Tiddlesworth: Trust in the rankings. They work all of the time, half the time, many of the times.

      I’ve been drinking too…

  39. oppo taco says:
    (link)

would you trade torrey for ryan mathews in a .5 ppr?
hes proven slow to recover from all injuries, not that torrey has been great

    • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
      (link)

@oppo taco: guarantee you Jaywrong would, as me. It’s not like you’ve been starting torrey anyway, might as well actually have a roster spot that’s useful in a week or 2.

  40. Bryan says:
    (link)

Better defense to stash for week 10?

    Ravens vs Titans
    Or
    Cowboys @ Jags

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Bryan: Ravens.

  41. goodfold2 says:
    (link)

    romo owner in 2 leagues. start 2 RB/3 WR/ 1 TE/ no flex
    1. PPR
    cutler/romo
    ingram/miller/vereen/hill/sims/mathews
    wayne/julio/garcon/martavis/gordon (RES stash)
    graham/reed
the plan was to trade reed this week for WR, but wayne is playing so i still have 3 starters, but reed clearly still has value, and with Gio B out, even though his owner has so far ignored my hill and reed for sanu when he notices Gio is out he might start beating down my door for hill.
a week ago this was an easy cutler drop. need to pickup tannehill for this week (i’m thinking even if romo goes he’s better option this week i’m thinking. so do i drop
    A. reed and let his value go to somebody on waivers?
    B. sims (since ingram/miller have been pretty good, and mathews back soon, and maybe hill starting for 2 weeks at least as well)
    C. cutler and go with romo/tannehill from this point on if cutler gets ganked

    2. standard league. have open roster spot and only romo. grab hoyer or protect my DAL QB spot and grab weeden. DAL is much better offense and this league doesn’t count TO as negative pts at all. Seems Weeden would have much more yards/TD upside on his team than hoyer does on his. i seem to remember Weeden (start calling him Weeded on purpose?) would have huge yard output games but with a lot of TO. DAL also has good matchup this week, as ARI is great run defense but awful passing one.
