I am on the RCL Standings somewhere.  No, keep looking.  No, further down.  Yeah, I suck.

Here’s our fearless leader Rudy Gamble on how the scoring for the Master Standings works:

The RCL Football League standings are based on three variables:  Wins, Total Points, and League Competitiveness.

Wins receive 500 points.  This is added to a team’s Total Points Scored and then multiplied against a League Index.  The league index – which is in place to credit stronger vs weaker divisions – takes the Total Points Scored for a league and indexes it against the average of all RCL leagues.  So if the average is 1,000 per league and one league has scored 1,100, that league would get a 10% boost (1100/1000 = 1.1).  Based on the RCL baseball league, indexes don’t vary too much between leagues (say between 98-102) and serve as merely a virtual tiebreaker in cases where two teams are very close in Win Points + Total Points but one team is in a stronger league than the other.

I’m back.  Did you miss me?  Good.  So I will keep us updated on our struggles to become the Razzball Football Champion!  Stay tuned!

And while you’re tuned follow my tweets over at Twitterland.  I’m @Razzball (original, huh?)

    Someone just offered me Matt Ryan for my Tashard Choice. My QB is Rivers, and I just picked up Campbell as my Week 5 bye fill-in.

    Is there any reason to consider this trade? I can’t see it.

    @mgeoffriau: How are you even considering that trade? It’s obviously a NO

    @Chris: Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. I guess some people think a little more highly of Matt Ryan than I do. Great young real life QB, middling fantasy QB.

    @mgeoffriau: OOPS to me I thought you had Matt Ryan. My apologies. I would definitely take it and try to deal him later if needed.

    @mgeoffriau: Take Ryan.

    @Chris: Really? I was leaning strongly the other way. I’m not convinced Ryan will be that much better than Campbell from here forward, and I got Campbell off the free agent list….I’m not planning on carrying 2 QB’s after Rivers’ bye week.

    @Doc: Wow…I’m surprised. That clear cut huh? Maybe I’m just missing the boat on Ryan.

    @mgeoffriau: I like Ryan a lot. Choice is a good backup to have, but Ryan is a starting QB and I think you could flip him.

    First place for little old me? Flippin’ sweet. But Boldin and DeSean are on the bye this weekend — help me Purple Jesus!

    Got a couple of lineup decisions to make:

    1. Pick one RB of Rice, McFadden, Coffee. It has to be Coffee, right? My other RB is C. Johnson.

    2. Pick two WR of Berrian, Bess, Bennett. Leaning Bennett and Berrian, but I did notice that Henne targeted Bess 7 times in the 2nd half last week. Berrian seems to be the most talented of the bunch, though. My third WR is Megatron.

    Thanks. Your advice in baseball is about to win me my keeper league.

    @Niners: I like McFadden.

    Berrian isn’t doing well with Favre, but I think you have to run him out there. I’d go with Bess over Bennett. It’s hard to tell which Bears WR is going to get what.

    @Niners:
    1. Yes, Coffee. Would consider McFadden, but Coffee wins out for getting all the carries (no Bush or Fargas to pilfer carries).
    2. I’d sit Berrian and play Bess and Bennett. Better matchups, and I’d like to see Favre and Berrian hook up (hey-o) for at least 1 long TD before I place much trust in Berrian.

    Glad to see my name at number 2. This football season has been fun so far, but I still wish I knew what I was doing.

    Oh, and I meant to ask a start/sit question. Stokely or Kelley Washington for this week?

    Jerome Harrison, Rashard Mendenhall, or Jamaal Charles for this week?

    Which 2 of those 3 would you want for the rest of the season?

    @Corey: Probably Washington since Stokley is hurting.

    @generic: Mendy since he should get the goalline carries against a poor rush D. I like Charles and Mendy for the long term. Thinking Davis could overtake Harrison.

    @AL KOHOLIC: I’d drop Bell since PT looked so good. If Welker doesn’t go I’d go Edelman.

    So I try and access my ESPN account, and what do I see? “my account has been banned”. What did I do, you ask? I happened to have a user account of natemarcum…..What? You don’t see what is so bad? I was told that the LAST 3 LETTERS in my name are not suitable for a Disney affiliated website. Now I diving through hoops to get it resolved….
