We are getting very near the end of the first week of drafting! While I hope everyone is getting the players they desire, as a part of “everyone,” I know that hope is unlikely.
Our division just began Round 15, and the finish line is in sight.
Through 14 rounds, this is the breakdown of players selected in our division, by position:
QBs 22
RBs 54
WRs 68
TEs 24
Things that have surprised me:
- Not only was there a premium on workhorse backs, but also backs in some of the murkier RB rooms.
- Quarterbacks were much less coveted than I expected. There was only one selected through four rounds, three through five, and the last team selected their starter in round 11 and still got Bo Nix.
- Tight ends were even less coveted after round two: the fifth TE didn’t come off the board until pick 7.05.
We have had some issues, but they’ve mostly been easy to help fix. The one that is not is on my to-do list for RazzBowl 9 in 2027. I’m thankful for the forbearance of our participants.
