We’ve had an amazing run so far boys and girls. And by boys and girls, I mean men and women. And by men and women, I mean many men and possibly a woman. But I digress. We’ve had a great time creating leagues and drafting players so far in the RCLs, but the next week or so will mark the end of what is known as “the drafting season”. I think… I have actually have no idea if that’s what it’s called. If it isn’t, it should be. We still have a school system based on an agrarian calender, so why not add farming terminolgy to fantasy football? I’ve had worse ideas folks. Scary, right? Regardless, if you still want to be a part of the Razzball Commenter Leagues, there are still spots open, and there’s no limit to how many leagues you create and/or join. So follow me after the jump to take a shot for some pretty sweet prizes!

0.5 PPR, with 3 point bonus at 250 yards passing, 100 yards rushing, 85 yards receiving; 6 point bonus at 335 yards passing, 150 yards rushing, 135 yards receiving.
On the surface, what do you think?
@Wilsonian: sup Wilson! Not crazy about your flex, but everything is solid. Good balance, and i like Garcon a lot right now.
@Jay: yeah, I’m not crazy about it either, but I kind of figured I could cover it with some of my bench guys. It’s also only an 8 Team league, so there are options out there. He just happened to be the last decent option at RB available. I also liked Garcon a lot. Got him later than I expected. I think Cousins makes him a much better play.
Would you drop anyone for Matt Jones, Coleman, Duke, Woodhead, Crowell, Blue, or Sproles?
Also, would you deal DMC for Sammy Watkins?
@Wilsonian: i would do that dmc deal in a heart beat. I like jones, but don’t see room for him yet.
@Wilsonian: people be out of their minds giving watkins for at best a time share DMC who will be hurt in less than a month. this would be even more true in an 8 team league.
@Wilsonian: join a league with your less shallow friends and/or family. no reason to deal with the hassle of shallow people.
some pre season trades to run by you. i’m wary of jeffrey after just drafting him
trade 1: big ben/ demerius/ foster/ olsen FOR matt ryan/ alshon jeffery/ alfred morris/ devante freeman/ martellus bennet…. other team owns coleman so may want the duo
trade 2: big ben/ jordan matthews/ greg olsen FOR matt ryan/ brandon marshall/ martellus bennet/ devante freeman
thanks.
@dropthebeat: frank gore and justin forsett would be my 2 runningbacks if lost alfred until foster returns… dez bryant/ brandon marshall other wr’s
@dropthebeat: I like the second deal better for you.
There is a draft tonight @ 7 pacific

@FrankGrimes: join this league peoples!
I am a bit worried about having drafted Joeseph Randle now that the RBBC has been confirmed and the new mcfadden hype. I dont believe in Mcfadden but if they are going to strictly split carries and also pass to Dumbar on some 3rd down, I’m not sure if I can trust Joe Randle anymore.
One guy in my league lost out on Jordey Nelson and I am hoping I can take advantage of that to obtain one of his running backs. His running backs are Frank Gore and Latavious Murray.
I think I might be able to get murray from him if I send him an offer of Randle and a WR or am i overreacting and should just stick to Randle and see how the begining of the season plays out
My WR are strong ODB, Green, Matthews (my backups willling to offer are marcus wheaten, terrance williams, and crabtree)
do you think he would go for a marcus wheaten and joe randle for latavious murray.
he also has ivory on his team as back up
My running backs are Randle, spiller, martin, gurley, david johnson, and matt jones.
should i push for this or wait… i hate making trades preseason but i’m stressing randle a bit
@Paul: I’m not too worried about Randle, but I do like thise trades for you. I loke Murray there.
i couldnt be without martavis bryant in a keeper and spent too much so i missed alfreds handcuff (matt jones- went for $4)
alfred morris FOR jon stewart (i own artis payne already) and gio bernard?
what if i can swing morris/ alshon jeffery/ pierre garcon FOR jon stewart/ antonio brown/ gio bernard.
this team has no TE. he may bite at morris/martellus bennet/jeffery/ garcon for jon stewart/ antonio brown/ gio bernard and josh hill
im terrified of alred morris after drafting him and worried about alshon’s lingering injury
thanks.
@rotoworlddoomsday?: i like that Brown deal for you.
So… I took everyone’s advice on razzball and drafted Hyde… I wasnt a huge fan of him, but I needed a RB that wasnt 60 bucks… Heres the final roster (12 team, PPR, Keepers – ODB $1, Hopkins $9, Le’Veon $47)
QB – Ben Roethlisberger
WR – ODell Beckham Jr
WR – DeAndre Hopkins
WR – Amari Cooper
RB – Carlos Hyde
RB – Le’Veon Bell
TE – Greg Olsen
Flex – Woodhead/Vereen
D – NY Jets
Marques Colston
Isaiah Crowell
Carson Palmer
David Johnson
Jeff Janis
Ladarius Green
Thoughts? Is this the winner this year? :)
Thanks for all the draft advice!
@Bryce Krispie Treats: yeah, definitely a solid team. Bench might need some work, but that can be fixed during the season.
@Bryce Krispie Treats: Hey, I’m in a similar league and I’m curious what Gurley and Cooper went for in yours?
Hey Jay, draft order released. I’m #2 of 10. Not bad! What would be your first round pick? Your ranks say Peterson followed by Bell. But I’m leaning towards Peterson than Lynch or Lacy over Bell. What are your thoughts?
& for round 2, I will be pick #19. Would you reach for Luck or Rodgers there or stick with another RB?
@Nick: I’m fine with that. Honestly, all those guys are so close together. I’d stick with another RB there.
So, I guess my prediction of ‘putting right what once went wrong’ in their eternal Quantum Leap quest, the Browns (and Cowboys/Eagles?) are interested in grabbing RG3 if he got cut. Wonder if that’ll be followed by the ‘we think he’ll be great once again’ quote regarding Josh Gordon soon too?
@Clint: ehhhh, I think he needs a change of scenary, but he needs to be with a team that will actually develop him.
What’s up Jay.. How’s my team in a 12 team PPR 3 WR league?
Rivers
Cobb
Brandon Cooks
Allen Robinson
Marshawn
Alfred Morris
Bennett
Wallace
Alfred Blue
Colston
Reggie Bush
Jonas Gray
Turbin
Winston
I know i should probly get rid of Turbin. I don’t think i’ll get him but do you think i should drop him for Matt Jones?
@Frank White: grab matt jones
@Frank White: grab Jones. Fred Jackson’s eventual signing is because Turbin is having issues.
How would you rate my team though?? I got screwed a couple times cause the guy ahead of me kept sleeping on picks and let the clock run out and picked the next guy who i needed amd he didn’t.. Lol
@Frank White: i think you’re fine. WR is a little wak, but I think the Lynch Morris duo will offset that.
Thanks!!
12 team ppr, super flex:
QB: Wilson
RB: hill
RB: gore
Wr:OBJ
WR: Maclin/Hurns
Te: Eifert
SF: Tannehill
D: panthers
K: Crosby
Bench: rashad jennings, Andre williams, Funchess, David Johnson, devonta Freeman
@Kendrick Llama: I like this team, very solid.
Hey Jay it’s my first year using Razzball for Fantasy Football info and as much as I’d like to try an RCL l, I’ve got like 4 other money leagues I’m in already!
Had my 12 team draft this past Sunday and I need some advice and wouldn’t mind opinions on how it went:
7th pick in a 12 team Standard
QB: Bridgewater (10th)
WR: A. Brown (1st)
WR: Watkins (6th)
RB: Forte (2nd)
RB: Gore (3rd)
TE: Rudolph (11th)
FLEX: Martin (4th)
Bench: JStew (5th), S. Smith Sr. (7th), T. Mason (8th), R. White (9th) Stevie Johnson (12th)
My plan was to get Rivers or Cam late but watched them get drafted as backups before I got my starter so in round 10 I snagged Teddy and with that being said, I’m a little nervous about my QB and TE situation. I also am not to thrilled about my WR depth …
I’ve already been in trade talks with some teams and I want to know if I should trade for guys like Cam, Gronk, OBJ, E. Sanders, or Hopkins…
1. The owner of Rivers and Gronk actually auto-drafted and his team looks like this:
QB: Manning, Cam
WR: OBJ
WR: Evans
RB: L. Miller
RB: Spiller
TE: Gronk
FLEX: DJax
Bench: Cam Newton, M. Bryant, D. Cobb, W. Wheaton, J. Reed
He’s a friend I’ve known for years and I know he hates Gronk and he said both him and are OBJ are for sale and I already know he wants my Forte. Should I try to make a trade with him and if so who should I try offering up for maybe Gronk? I also know he doesn’t like Cam so I’m hoping maybe I can exchange Teddy for him? Any thoughts?
2. Also another team who owns WRs like Julio, Calvin, Hopkins, and Sanders but only has R. Mathews, R. Jennings, DMC, and Hillman as RBs offered me his Sanders for my JStew and Steve Smith Sr. but also seemed interested in Stevie Johnson? How should I counter that offer?
@ebudz: yeah, if you think he’s open to a deal, go for it. You should focus on Gronk or OBJ, not sure if you have the rbs to pull both of them away. This would depend on your first deal, but upgrading Watkins is a good thing here.
Jay,
Heard McCoy has a slight small tear of his hamstring. Are you knocking him down your rankings?
@Blake: i keep knocking him down, yes. I’ll probably update again tonight.
Thoughts on my team: 12 team ppr
QB rivers
RB Ellington
WR Cobb
WR Calvin Johnson
TE sefarian Jenkins
Flex Jarvis Landry
Flex Allen Robinson
Kicker Prater
Defense NY Jets (week one stream)
Bench Ingram, Woodhead, Brandon Coleman, martavis Bryant, Allen hurns, Ronnie hill an
@Kyle: pretty weak at TE, but your WRs should help that. I’d say a good team.
@Jay: thanks for the response! any thoughts on a few lest over tight ends better then sefarian? Options that are left are….Jordan reed, Eric Ebron, Richard Rodgers, Charles clay. Any thoughts on a good def to stream a tight end against?
@Kyle: I’d stream starting with Jordan Reed.
Had a 12-team snake draft (.5 ppr) last night. Here’s my team, what do you think? Any areas of concern you’d suggest, or potential trade bait?
QB
Tannehill
RB
Hill
Gore
Spiller
DMC
Knile Davis
WR
Dez
Matthews
Andre Johnson
Robinson
Agholor
Terrence Williams
TE
Eifert
Defenses
Packers and Bengals
@Johnny Ticklemonster: i don’t see any weaknesses here persay, but not huge on Eifert. Not sure if it’s worth upgrading though. Strong WRs…
would you trade Andre Johnson for Golden Tate in a 12 team half-ppr league?
@Roll of SAGNOF, Hear my Cry: Johnson.
Hi Jay
Excited about this season. Last year I used your rankings, having no real idea who 98% of my team was, and ended up coming in 3rd (I hit gold with Murray).
But, my draft is this weekend and, based on cell phone reception, may have to let autodraft ruin my day. If that happens, can you recommend any guys that I should put in the DO NOT DRAFT side? I got your rankings in there for my pre-rankings.
Thanks!
@deDeMargrom: general strategy? I’d say get your running backs early. Stay away from McCoy and Jeffery for now, unless they go cheap, and don’t draft more than one QB.
10 team league 1/2 ppr qbflex
I give graham cutler crowell i get cooks mathews
My qbs rivers newton cutler
My rbs d murray gore blount crowell coleman
My wrs dez robinson marshall agholor garcon
My tes graham olsen
Cutler gets stl and KC in the bye weeks i would use him in and i could stream or get tyrod taylor
Crowell i think is who i would drop for a def if the season started tomorrow
Should i get mcfadden and who should i drop for him garcon coleman crowell agholor? Or none and get rid of the stupid kicker and worry about it next week?
@Barker: I’d do that first deal. I think Crowell for DMC is okay, but I’m personally holding.
Jay,
just had my fantasy draft. I tried best player available strategy and went a little RB heavy because my WR targets kept on getting sniped- so i don’t love my WR core but i think they can work. What are you thoughts on my team? Also, who do you think would be a better stash DGB or Matt Jones? Thanks!
10 team standard 1QB 2RB 3WR TE DEF K 6 Bench
QB: Russell Wilson, Cam Newton (wasn’t gunna draft 2 but i thought Cam in round 13 was too good a value? we’ll see
RB: Le’Veon Bell, Lamar Miller, Melvin Gordon, Jon Stewart
WR: Cobb, B. Marshall, A. Boldin, P. Garcon, Brian Quick, Dorial Green Beckham
TE: Jordan Cameron
K: Justin Tucker
DEF: STL
@Pager24: leaning Jones, and this team will be fine. I think Garcon is really underrated this season.
PPR league, which side….
Lamar Miller and Allen Hurns for LeSean McCoy and Marvin Jones
@apiatt34: @apiatt34: Nevermind, guess that is an easy one with the Shady injury news.
@apiatt34: Yeah, hold for now.
Hey Jay, after much debate, I’m thinking Charles at #2…your ranks disagree but the schedule is soft & KC actually has some offense this year to keep him on the field…with Bell out first 2 weeks & Peterson having a minor injury, only solidifies decision, no? I hate second guessing myself
@Nick: what AP injury?
@Nick: @I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6,000 for you to bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail: He had a minor injury, nothing that should keep him out for regular season though…
@Nick: Ugh, i just unlocked espn insider and now im veering away from Charles….I hate this! Thinking Bell or Lynch now
@Nick: Or lacy…
@Nick: i mean where are you seeing this AP injury, i’ve heard nothing of it, and can’t find anything about it either.
@I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6,000 for you to bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail: is that what they call it when espn bilks you for money for their crappy “insider” “knowledge”, or is that something else?
@The Harrow: To be fair, I only have insider for Klaw’s content. Everything else is a waste over there.
@Jay: they got a guy named Klaw, that at least sounds cool. (like a super villian of fantasy). you’ve not heard anything about this supposed AP injury that isn’t anywhere in any news i can find have you?
@I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6,000 for you to bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail: i haven’t, no.
@The Harrow: No I did not get the knowledge of AP injury from Insider…check either CBS sports or FantasyPros, they will have his minor injury detail..
The ESPN Insider was free with ESPN the Magazine, which I also got for free!!
So Jay, how would you feel about Lacy @ #2 then? I cant bear to have Le’Veon be out for 2 weeks & AP makes me nervous being out for a year…
@Nick: Lacy is fine there. I’m liking Lynch a tiny bit more there.
@The Harrow: & it is a thigh injury btw
@Nick: I think they are all close. I just think Jamaal’s not as durable as he used to be, which isn’t really a knock, but evens out the top.
@Jay: my final draft order at #2 is, Peterson, otherwise Lynch. Hoping the risk for AP is worth it!
Then have to hope some other decent RBs are left when my turn is up again at #19…

@Forthwwin: gotta be skittles here.
@Forthwwin: Like the beefmoe side slightly more here.
in a dynasty in yahoo i missed a draft. i had ranked gurley 2nd overall, and also had yeldon ranked quite high. i went at 9th. I ranked 45 people way before today. Has anybody actually had Yahoo actually USE your predraft ranks to actually draft your players? I got neither Gurley (went at 13th) nor Yeldon (went at 10th). Am i right and the comish actually had to draft players ahead of my ranks here, and give me D.Walker instead of one of them? I know Yahoo ranks alone, even if my own predraft ones weren’t used, have Gurley/Yeldon/Spiller higher than D.Walker.
@Montezuma’s Revenge… right now: i found out, it’s more yahoo related b.s., not my comish. apparently yahoo bypasses the rankings sometimes when there’s few spots left, so even though i had J.Thomas and knew i’d need at TE backup (which yahoo could’ve auto’d at pick 37 anyway) it took d.walker at 9 overall instead of Yeldon/Gurley. Just the sight of this team page makes me want to spit on myself now and i might quit. Forever i’ll be reminded of what happens when you miss a yahoo draft, no matter what meticulous effort you put into your rankings. It later took IND defense when i already have a defense also, so another wasted roster spot there (but not as bad since there wasn’t any players at 37 i needed anyway)
Just finished a 12 team .5PPR 2 keeper draft. My two keepers were Cooks (5th) and Hyde (11th). How would you rate the team below? Any obvious areas to be concerned with?
QB: Tom Brady
RB: Adrian Peterson
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Brando Cooks
RB/WR: Jonathan Stewart
WR/TE: Keenan Allen
BN: Carson Palmer
BN: Allen Robinson

who’s best last keeper out of this roster. 12 teamer with IDP spots and many many bench spots. next year keepers go up to 5-6. no round cost on keepers. start 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 QB, 2 flex spots, flex can be a TE. Non PPR. start 2 DL, 2 DB, 2 LB. i already have julio/mccoy/ingram as likely solid keeps, and the reason this team was dropped is jordy is probably best long term option. 5 IR slots so there will be room. other options are brady/rapelisberger/olsen/spiller/chandler jones (#3 DE). I haven’t taken this team over yet and want to see if it’s worth it. Like the deep benches.
@What’s a Drexl?: start 1 TE as well, i forgot to mention. looking like by this year ranking either olsen or roethlisberger as 4th keeper. If you think Jordy might come back and still be a top 12 WR though he might be long term valuable.
@What’s a Drexl?: no i was wrong, start 3 RB, AND 2 flex, so this is deeper than 12 teamer, not just from bench amount.
