ARI
- The RB split in week 2 and week 3 was essentially the same at 65/38 with Chase Edmonds leading the way. James Conner does have double the carries (4) inside the 10 though.
- As snaps go, every week it has been DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Green, Christian Kirk, and Rondale Moore. Averaging only 36% of the snaps, you’re counting on Moore breaking one on limited plays if you’re running him out there.
ATL
- Kyle Pitts has been over an 80% snap rate the last 2 weeks. He’s on pace for 59 receptions and 741 yards. Post-merger, there are only 3 TEs that had more than 741 yards in their rookie season. For the record, the combination of Noah Fant, Antonio Gate, Tony Gonalez, Rob Gronkowski, T.J. Hockenson, and Jason Witten averaged 34.3 receptions and 430 yards in their rookie season.
- With Russell Gage missing in week 3, it was Olamide Zaccheaus at 69% of the snaps taking up the WR2 snaps.
BAL
- Ty’Son Williams has been at 51%, 51% and 50% the first 3 weeks. It seems like a pretty clear split, for now. With Latavius, Le’Veon, and DeVonta all still around, it’s a backfield we’re going to have to monitor all season.
- Sammy Watkins was under 80% snaps for the first time this season. With Rashod Bateman possibly returning, we’ll see who he takes snaps from in this WR corps.
BUF
- Zack Moss went from 0 and 28% snaps in the first 2 weeks to 56% in week 3. In the last 2 weeks, Moss does have 8 touches inside the 10 compared to 2 touches for Singletary in that time. Some of that has been drive-related when Singletary leaves the game, but some of it is likely role-based at this point as well.
- As snaps go for the Bills WRs, it’s Diggs and Sanders, then Beasley and Gabriel Davis and Isaiah Mckenzie were both under 30% in week 3.
CAR
- Chuba Hubbard had 55% of the snaps compared to only 15% for Royce Freeman. At least in this game, it was clear that Chuba is the primary back without CMC.
- Robby Anderson and Terrace Marshall Jr. played essentially the same snap rate in week 3.
- The departure of Dan Arnold clears up the TE picture a little bit, but that picture is split with Ian Thomas and Tommy Tremble likely playing.
CHI
- Just as the Browns figured out, the Bears’ offense is pretty straightforward. It’s David Montgomery, Allen Robinson, Darnell Mooney, and Cole Kmet.
CIN
- With Tee Higgins out in week 3, Auden Tate saw an uptick to 57%.
CLE
- In his first game back, Odell Beckham Jr. saw 64% of the snaps. To be fair, Donavan Peoples-Jones lead the Browns in snaps with 65%. The game got out of hand quick and there wasn’t much need for the WRs.
DAL
- Both tight ends are over 50% on snap rate, but Schultz is getting the better side of it.
- Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard have settled in around the 70/35 split in the last 2 weeks.
DEN
- First Jerry Jeudy and now K.J. Hamler, the Broncos can’t catch a break at WR. It was Diontae Spencer that got the 3rd WR snaps after Hamler left the game.
- Javonte Williams has settled in around a 40% snap rate the last 2 weeks. This may be a pain to deal with for the season.
DET
- Despite the great start that D’Andre Swift has gotten off to on the season, he has seen his snap rate decrease each week. According to recent news, the Lions are planning to get the ball in his hands more. And why wouldn’t they?
- For 2 weeks in a row, it’s Quintez Cephus and Kalif Raymond leading the way. Amon-Ra St. Brown and Trinity Benson are splitting the WR3 snaps.
GB
- Robert Tonyan finally got above 50% snaps in this one (73%), so at least there’s that.
- After Davante, the snaps are split among Lazard and MVS with Randall Cobb a clear 4th, even after they said they wanted to get him more involved.
HOU
- It’s David Johnson and Mark Ingram sitting around 35%-40% with Burkhead and Lindsay picking up the scraps.
IND
- Nyheim Hines lead the backfield at 56% versus 48% for Jonathan Taylor in week 3. It’s a split backfield, much to the chagrin of JT owners.
- Parris Campbell saw 80% of the snaps (still 3rd) on his return. I still have him as a clear third among the Colts WRs.
JAX
- Carlos Hyde seems pretty set in the 30%-35% snap rate.
- It’s Marvin Jones, D.J. Chark, and then Laviska in each of the 3 weeks in order of snaps.
KC
- Clyde Edwards-Helaire has seen his snap rate drop each week while Darrel Williams has increased, sitting at 62/34 split in week 3.
- Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman continue to split WR2 responsibilities. Wouldn’t want to start either if I had other options.
LAC
- Austin Ekeler has seen his snap share increase each week, up to 74% in week 3.
- Jalen Guyton has secured the WR3 role in this offense, FWIW.
LAR
- With Darrell Henderson out, Sony Michel got 74% of the snaps in this one.
- For the first time all season, Robert Woods led the team in snaps. The Rams have 3 WRs that they like and they’re all going to play.
- For the first time all year, Tyler Higbee didn’t play 100% of the snaps.
LV
- Peyton Barber leads the backfield with 57% of the snaps for the Raiders sans Josh Jacobs.
- Bryan Edwards has led the team in snaps at WR each week with Henry Ruggs 2nd and Hunter Renfrow 3rd. Zay Jones is a distant 4th.
MIA
- In back-to-back weeks, Mike Gesicki has been at 65% of the team’s snaps. Almost like the Dolphins should use the athletic TE in the passing game on occasion, or something like that.
- Will Fuller got 61% of the snaps in his first week suited up for the ‘Phins.
MIN
- After a hopeful week 1 at 81%, K.J. Osborn has been at 59% the last 2 weeks.
- With Dalvin sitting this one out, Alexander Mattison had 68% of the snaps to Ameer Abdullah’s 29%. Dalvin was a limited participant at practice on Wednesday.
NE
- Without James White, Brandon Bolden jumped up to 46% snaps in this one. Damien Harris has declined each week (53%, 42%, 31%).
- Jakobi Meyers leads the team in snaps at WR each week. Kendrick Bourne saw his snap count increase in week 3 with essentially the same amount as Nelson Agholor.
- For the 2nd straight week, it was Hunter Henry that lead the TEs in snaps (72%/42% in week 3).
NO
- For the Marquez Callaway owners still out there, at least he has led the Saints WRs each week in snaps.
- Juwan Johnson had a big week 1 and gained a play bump, but saw that disappear in week 3. There are other TEs available that you should be using a roster spot on.
NYG
- Kadarius Toney got the biggest bump with Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton leaving the game, up to 66% of the team’s snaps.
- Evan Engram saw 56% snaps in his return. Look for him to take a bigger role this week, especially if Shepard and Slayton miss. John Ross has been designated to return off of IR as well.
NYJ
- Ty Johnson and Michael Carter are splitting snaps, for whatever that’s worth, for the Jets.
- Corey Davis continues to lead the team in snaps. With Elijah Moore dealing with a concussion, Braxton Berrios had 78% and Keelan Cole was at 50% of the snaps. The Jets could get Jamison Crowder back this week to further muddy the WR picture.
PHI
- It’s a pretty clear 60-70% snap rate for Miles Sanders.
- After Goedert leading in snaps in week 1, the 2 TEs for the Eagles have been splitting snaps pretty evenly since then.
PIT
- With Diontae missing this game and JuJu leaving early, James Washington stepped up into the WR role behind Chase Claypool.
- After Pat Freiermuth leading snaps in the first 2 weeks, it was Ebron that had the majority of snaps (57%) in week 3. Look elsewhere if you need a tight end to stream.
SEA
- Gerald Everett has taken over the TE position for the Seahawks (79%).
- Chris Carson had a season-low of 45% snaps in this one. The game got out of hand in the 2nd half and Seattle had to abandon the run game.
SF
- Trey Sermon saw 59% of the snaps in week 3 with every other RB injured. Kyle Juszczyk actually leads the backfield in snaps at 69%.
- Brandon Aiyuk finally got to see a majority of snaps coming in as the clear WR2 with 86% of the snaps in week 3.
TB
- This backfield sucks to deal with. Just when you thought maybe Fournette was taking over, Gio Bernard out-snapped Leo and RoJo in week 3.
- Remember when people thought O.J. Howard might be a thing (again). Well, he hasn’t even hit the 20% snap rate in a game yet.
TEN
- It was Nick Westbrook who lead the WRs in snaps with AJB and Julio both leaving this game early.
WFT
- Antonio Gibson went for a big 73 yard TD on his 1 reception in week 3, but the WFT seems pretty determined to split Gibson/McKissic at about 60/40.
- Dyami Brown has seen his snap rate drop from 93% in week 1 to 65% in week 3. He has about the same snap rate as Adam Humphries in week 3 and Cam Sims saw some action with 37% of snaps.
