As important as it is to start the right players, it’s equally important to fade the players at risk of a dub in your fantasy playoffs. Below are players at each position that myself (@SkyGuasco), @BobbyLamarco, @Derek_Favret and @Stiles08 could see putting up less than their point prediction this week. Most of these players are not outright sits, but they’re all worth a second look based on your roster options or last-minute waiver adds.
We went into full detail on these players in this episode.
Which “stud” are you considering benching this week?

Brock Purdy | Ravens | Start |
Jared Goff | Vikings | Start |
Dak Prescott | Dolphins | Start (fade) |
Kyler Murray | Bears | Sit |
Patrick Mahomes | Raiders | Start |
- Stud to Fade: Dak Prescott
- Opponent: Dolphins
The “MVP front-runner” from a week ago got humbled at BUF last week suffering his worst fantasy finish since Week 5 when dem ‘Boys got embarrassed by SF. Dak was QB32 last week with seven points. This week DAL is still on the road at MIA; a D/ST that has finished four, one, four, five and two over their last five games. Dak Prescott has been two different QBs this season at home and on the road. He has avg. 15.07 fantasy points on the road compared to 25.76 at home. MIA gives up just about 15 fantasy points per game to QBs which would be QB23 on the season. I doubt he’s as bad as he was last week, but he won’t be QB4 as the ECR suggests either. I’d rather stream Stafford vs. NO, Russ vs. NE, Geno at TEN and Mullens vs. DET. I hope I’m wrong.

Jerome Ford | Texans | Sit |
D’Andre Swift | Giants | Start |
Gus Edwards | 49ers | Sit |
Josh Jacobs | Chiefs | Start (fade) |
- Stud to Fade: Saquon Barkley
- Opponent: Eagles
Saquon Barkley had 5.7 PPR fantasy points at NO who are 8th vs. RBs. This week he gets PHI who is the toughest matchup for RBs and needing a rage-win after dropping three in a row. We used to bank on Barkley’s targets to salvage a tough running day, but he’s seen just six total targets over the last two games since NYG’s bye. I know who he is, but he’s not who we thought he would be, ya dig? I’m sitting Saquon.

WR | Opponent | Start/Sit |
Stefon Diggs | Chargers | Start (fade) |
Puka Nacua | Saints | Start (fade) |
Amari Cooper | Texans | Start (fade) |

Keenan Allen | Bills | Sit |
Joshua Palmer | Bills | Start (fade) |
Michael Pittman | Falcons | Sit |
Terry McLaurin | Jets | Sit |
Jerry Jeudy | Patriots | Start (flex/fade) |
- Stud to Fade: Michael Pittman
- Opponent: Falcons
Even if Michael Pittman suits up, I can’t imagine he sees full snap share let alone targets and production after suffering a concussion Saturday vs. PIT. Furthermore, IND in on the road in ATL who are the 5th toughest matchup for WRs.
Tight Ends
TE Matchups | ||
---|---|---|
TE | Opponent | Start/Sit |
George Kittle | Ravens | Start (fade) |
Isaiah Likely | 49ers | Start |
Dallas Goedert | Giants | Sit |
Dalton Kincaid | Chargers | Sit |
Darren Waller | Eagles | Start (fade) |
Dalton Schultz | Browns | Sit |
Kyle Pitts | Colts | Sit |
- Streamer Tight End: Hunter Henry
- Opponent: Broncos
The tight end landscape is hard to navigate so I thought I mix it up a bit and throw in a start here. The Broncos are the BEST matchup for TEs surrendering 13.61 ppg. Meanwhile, DEN is the 9th TOUGHEST matchup for WRs. Hunter Henry has gone 15/121/3 on 17 targets over the last three games landing as the TE4 in consecutive weeks vs. PIT (18th) and KC (26th). NE has no WRs anyway. Hope for dump downs and maybe a TD.

Dallas’ once dominant D/ST has been hit/miss this season overall. They have six Top 3 finishes, but also have six Bottom 20 finishes including D/ST29 last week @ BUF. Again on the road in MIA this weekend with Tyreek on track to return? No thanks. I’d rather stream CHI vs ARI or CIN at PIT w/ Mason Rudolph.
