I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend thus far. Mine was a bit different than in the past, but came off as a smashing success because of three very Thanksgiving things occurring; Turkey, Beer, and Football. So thankfully, these upcoming Sunday games gave us a few days to nap our festivities off. And just in time, we have the annual Patriots and “whatever team Peyton Manning is playing on” prime time game. Otherwise known as the NFL’s Highlander. The one thing that’s changed between this football affair (I mean, literally, there’s a whole bunch that’s changed, but this is the only thing I remember right now in a food-induced light coma) is that there is no more Peyton Manning. After ceding his job to a guy that’s had to live his entire life with the fact his parents named him Brock, the storied quarterback duo that the media has, in the past ten years, crafted into the most legendary event ever in the history of man… is no more. Even though, you know, Tom Brady won most of these games, and like, two or three of them were actually good football games. No matter! A new Broncos epoch has begun, and it’s name is Brock. Are you ready?

how badly would the other m.floyd playing already (seems early) hurt s.johnson’s PPR ranking? in the two spots i have him it’s either him
    1. or m.jones/m.floyd (ARI)
and in a standard him or
    2. could go with tamme over s.johnson in one of the flex spots. have gates/s.johnson in those now, with olsen in TE, and julio/hurns/a.rob in WR spots. also have rivers, so this team is pretty involved with SD throwing. have allen in RES slot too.

@Montezuma’s Revenge… right now: I’d say not much. Malcom is the deep threat, and the Chargers like the slot a lot more. I’m fine with your setup. I don’t think their offense will have much trouble with the Jags.

  2. Crapshoot Kershaw says:
    (link)

wow, first time i’ve ever seen you so low on woodhead. JAX does rank 2nd vs Rushing, but i bet it has more to do with how they are ranked 30th vs passing offense, teams don’t need to rush against them. Most telling here i think is that JAX is 26th in passing offense for RB’s, and that’s woodhead’s domain.

      (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: that should read “26th against passing offense for RB’s”

@Crapshoot Kershaw: I’ve been reading a lot of stuff saying Gordon is going to get a lot of the bulk this week.

    Hi jay….
You were such a great help last week…
    PPR league…
    Brandon Marshall
    Chris Johnson
    Tevin Coleman
    Jeremy hill
    Jimmy graham…
Who should be my solid two running backs this week and who should be my flex?
    Please help;)
    Thanks!!!!

The link to updated rankings goes to the week 11 page.

@The imp: i saw that too. just use the link at the top of the page, it’s also updated, you can see by the date on it.

      Jay says:

@The imp: ah, weird, I’ll get that fixed. Thanks!

  5. Mantis Toboggan MD says:

I got room in PPR for 2 out of hurns/snead/coleman. I saw you respond to somebody else that if coleman gets start he moves up to mid 20’s RB. i see you are quite high on snead (guess not worried he’ll be decoy like last time), low on hurns (probably still worried about his small usage last week), and lower on coleman than mentioned before (32nd RB). Consensus rankings also have Coleman behind both of Hurns/Snead.
    2. already having hurns/snead/a.brown/evans/garcon stick with garcon or grab one of hartline/k.martin? neither of these will play with also having stewart/j.allen/duke john/white/coleman and only 1 flex spot (start 2 RB, 3 WR)

    3. for daily fantasy, early reports have west out, ware starting. I just noticed BUF is much much worse against rushing than i thought (27th). Where would Ware move up to if these reports hold true? I’m looking to grab some cheap options in RB land (yeldon/rawls good ones too, but ware is even cheaper).

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mantis Toboggan MD:Yeah, sticking with Snead and Hurns there. I’d say stick with Garcon for now, Hartline and Martin don’t really do anything for me right now. Still iffy on Ware, didn’t practice all week, hamstring is a delicate injury, I’d probably move him up just a little from where I have him.

      • Mantis Toboggan MD says:
        (link)

@Jay: Ware didn’t have a hamstring injury, West does, and he’s likely out. at least i can’t find any news about Ware having any injury, it appears he’ll just start, in a rainy game vs bad run D.

            @Jay: damn W 4 letter words.

  6. Nightpandas says:

    Jay,

Must win this week or I am done, going upside in my .5 ppr

    Te: Have Walker over Reed

Flex: Have Coleman over Hillman, Reed, Lafell

    Make any changes?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nightpandas: I like Reed there for the upside play.

  7. Allan says:

    Jay,
Cecil Shorts or Duke Johnson in my flex half point ppr? Thanks.

    • Jay

      @Allan: the Duke.

    .5 ppr league

    Pick two to play:

Latavius Murray, Alfred Blue, or Tevin Coleman?

    thanks as always man!

      @ryanoger: Murray and Blue.

  9. Packers says:

1 point ppr. Can start 2 of these 3, who’s out? Woodhead, N. Washington, or Ware. Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Packers: Woody and Ware.

  10. Papi Cruz says:

Would you roll the dice on Kelce today? Or go Julius Thomas? PPR..

Do you like Bradshaw or Draughn? Also PPR

    Thanks!!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

I would. And I like Bradshaw there.

  11. Jon says:
    (link)

I’m a big underdog today in a default PPR League. I have Hoyer, he has Hopkins. My flex options are Cecil Shorts and Watson. Should I consider rolling the dice on Shorts because N.O. defense is so bad, or will they just throw every pass to Hopkins for the same reason. I suppose Watson should get more targets than normal but don’t know if that will matter. Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      Probably Shorts there.

      • Jon says:

  12. OldMilwaukeePounders says:
    (link)

    Jay,

Do you like Diggs or Andrews at the flex today (PPR). And is Ware an automatic start now in the same format?

    Thanks!

  13. Tnl says:
    (link)

2nd flex pos, ppr. Lafell or Michael Floyd? Leaning lafell only because of health, but sf def matchup with Floyd is enticing.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Tnl: Leaning LaFell as well.

  14. Frank says:
    (link)

1 – Need 2 in a 12 team full ppr – Rawls vs PIT, L Murray @ TEN, Blue vs NO

    2 – Need 3 in a 12 team full ppr – L Miller @ NYJ, Buck Allen @ CLE, Rawls, Blue

3 – Would you start Hoyer over Matty Ice? Harrison Smith out for Vikes today. Not that that is a dealbreaker, but it’s something..

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Frank: 1 – Rawls and Murray, 2 – Miller, Allen, Rawls, and 3 – Yes, I would.

      • Frank says:
        (link)

@Jay: Thanks. Yea tempting matchup for Blue but agree he is the odd man out here.

  15. Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:

20 team dynasty. i’ll only show the offense. this team is 2nd in pts in entire league. we also start full real life IDP amount. start only 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex.
    QB – cousins/RG 3
RB – AP/Sims/Morris (had mostly been right to bench him for Sims for flex spot)/C.Thompson/Turbin
WR – D-Jax/Aiken (great find, got lucky on S.smith)/Garcon/Agholor (i said at the draft i might have to wait 3 years on this guy, i took him 4th overall, after Cooper was gone, i needed WR)
    TE – Reed, ASJ, Donnell
    K Mcmanus

For future am i better off with dropping Donnell for
a different TE: Tye (he seems better than Donnell), Hill (he’s the future i’m guessing once he learns to run routes or whatever he’s behind on), d.fells (ARI),

or could get a third QB: in either Foles/McCoy/Keenum (wow, STL so bad both of their QB’s available in 20 teamer, but only post bye, both were owned till this week),

or could go with another WR in herndon/huff/s.roberts/a.roberts (all of these guys are projected to get more than 300 yard ROS in returns, we get equal weight for returns as scrimmage yards). last year sometimes i had to play a.roberts and it wasn’t awful, sometimes. more about if any of these could have future value independent of returns though of course. Stupid kicker rule change made what had been a very easy to grab edge go away quite a bit. So they don’t really mind guys getting concussions playing with them, but they do want to take away what used to be a great thing to watch, actual kick returns.

    • Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:
      (link)

@Aubrey Plaza’s Pillow: also b.quick (remember when he was looking like a great football player, it was only just over a year ago, now he’s unowned in 20 team leagues)

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Aubrey Plaza’s Pillow: Hmm, Quick is intriguing in this format… I wouldn’t mind checking him out.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Aubrey Plaza’s Pillow: Yeah, I think out of those options, Tye is fine. And yeah, not sure if I like the new kickoff system, but they’ll continue to strip down the non-essentials.

anybody else thinking they’ve switched dez and DT’s bodies? he appears to not give too much of a shit here. They do have the same number, they ripped it off of eric lindros, 88.
