Well there were rumors of it and inklings and rumors of said inklings but it finally happened. On Wednesday, Reggie Bush signed with the Detroit Lions on a 4 year deal which sets in motion some fantasy commotion of major implications. Firstly, getting the former Kim Kardashian ass caddy is going to make waves in Detroit which is funny because he just moved from South Beach to do it. At least I think that’s funny. *Checking* no, it’s decidedly not but what is funny is Bush’s new teammate Mikel LeShoure eating a bag of weed before the officers could find his stash. Maybe they should trade him to Denver or Seattle now…well anywho, I’m not here to talk about Mikel. At least not yet. In getting Reggie, the Lions grabbed a great Jahvid Best replacement. You know, the running back who was probably the starter had concussions not taken his career from him. Why do we like this and by this I mean the Bush signing and not the concussion? Because in 22 games as a Lion, Best caught 85 passes which is a 62 catch pace for a 16 game season. When you consider Detroit has attempted the most passes of any team the last two years, the passing volume for great things is going to be there for Bush to be fairly Sprolesy. Overall, he probably will cede some touches to both Mikel and Joique Bell, there’s enough to go around for him to stay a solid RB2 in PPR leagues. And of course, Reggie’s exit from Miami along with the Mike Wallace signing should increase the stock of Lamar Miller dramatically. Sounds like I have some game film to watch and a post to write, yes? Yup and yup but we’re not here for that right now so let’s take a look at more moves from day two of the NFL free agent market for 2013 fantasy football…Please, blog, may I have some more?
We’re gonna milk this top whatever gravy train from here until sundown. Wait, how exactly do you milk a gravy train? And now that I look up the definition of gravy train – An occupation or other source of income that requires little effort while yielding considerable profit – I really wish I’d picked a […]Please, blog, may I have some more?
When we left off our top 20 running backs for 2012 Fantasy Football, we were still rounding out the ‘Team’s #1 RB option until proven worthless’ tier and I’ll fully admit my faith in this position was shaken to it’s core. I really hated ranking Shonne Green ahead of…well anyone but that’s the life of […]Please, blog, may I have some more?
Mikel Leshoure was drafted in the second round by Detroit last year and had plenty of promise for a strong season in front of him. Unfortunately, it never happened. Leshoure ran into defensive lineman Cliff Avril in a training camp drill and tore his Achilles tendon, ending his season in August. Despite having as many […]Please, blog, may I have some more?
I don’t even want to talk about the week seven injuries, but I suppose I have to considering they play such a huge role in this crazy fake game we play. We lost four offensive players for the rest of the season last Sunday. Earnest Graham, Tim Hightower, Kerry Collins, and Chris Cooley. Done. Just […]Please, blog, may I have some more?
The week six bye weeks may hurt fantasy teams more than the league-wide injuries this week. There are some potent offenses off on Sunday. Namely the Patriots, Bills, Eagles, and Giants. Injuries are throwing a wrench in fantasy line ups as well, of course. Guys like DeMarco Murray and Maurice Morris are going to have […]Please, blog, may I have some more?
(Doc’s Note: I’d like for y’all to welcome Joe to Razzball! He’ll be giving us his take on fake football all season) AFC East Living in the New York metro area, I can tell you New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has been quiet. It’s refreshing, and perhaps a little hint that he doesn’t […]Please, blog, may I have some more?
You’re preparing for your fantasy draft and maybe have even participated in a few by now. I’ve participated in one or two or fifty-seven myself, including one on Thursday night. The fine folks over at fantasyknuckleheads.com invited Razzball to be a part of an experts fantasy draft, and since I’m the resident knucklehead, I went […]Please, blog, may I have some more?
