We are one day away from draft night and I cannot wait. Who do you have your team taking with their first pick? If you are like me, you are consuming all of the NFL content to keep you satisfied until the regular season kickoff. Your teams have reported for offseason activities, the 2019 regular […]

That time of year is quickly approaching when fantasy football fans everywhere will begin gearing up for the draft. Many players in 2015 started the season with such potential on the fantasy front, only to be sidelined with injuries that jeopardize fan standings around the country. Let’s take a look at some of the more notable injured players and how they look in their quest to return strong this coming season.

Week 9: 7-6, Overall: 55-48-1, Locks: 5-1

Greetings! Beddict’s back in the hizzy, already 0-1 this week after Andy Dalton was brought to his knees as if he was Miley Cyrus, after spiking (NSFW… kinda) her own drink with multiple mollys. I apologize, for I feel wrong comparing Andy Dalton to someone with real talent. Is there anything grosser than Miley going full camel toe, sticking her demonic tongue out, and twerking that pasty pancake ass? Sure there is… Andy Dalton playing QB in the National Football League. That was one of the most embarrassingly pathetic performances I’ve witnessed from a QB in my many days upon this earth. Not since Curtis “Putrid” Painter started almost the entire season when the Colts were tanking (not talked about enough) to get Andrew Luck, have I been cursed with watching such peon like play. Seems like a great guy in real life though… moving on. Let’s get to this week’s picks, shall we? The quest for the perfect week continues.

If you’re looking for a good way to avoid depression in the months between the NFL Draft and Fantasy Draft Season, I recommend getting your league(s) together to discuss rule changes for the upcoming season. Will we eliminate kickers? (YES!) Will we award extra points for RBs who break 100 yards (NO!) Will we use individual defensive players? (HMMM…). That last question is complicated, and cannot be answered in one word. In fact, I’m about to spend 1200 words discussing just that question: Should your league be using IDPs?

Adding defensive players to your league is not for the faint of heart. Roster sizes will increase by only a few slots, yet the amount of players available will more than double, and you will now have to grasp the significance of stats like Assisted Tackles and Passes Defended. These changes may seem overwhelming, but in reality, defense in fantasy football is a lot like offense. Between now and Week 1, I will be outlining IDP Strategy, ranking players by position, and discussing scheme changes, but today is all about selling the concept of IDP itself. Here are a few reasons why your league should include defensive players:

Technically, this is where the weekly round-up would go, but there’s only one big news story going on right now besides NFL Combine stuff. And guess what? We got some Combine stuff for you planned all next week. So there’s just Ray Rice. And if you haven’t heard what’s going on with Ray Rice, you’d be surprised to know that, in this day and age, where women empowerment is at an all time high, where, just several years ago, Hilary Clinton lost an election to now President Obama, that domestic abuse still goes on. From what the news reports have stated, apparently Ray Rice hit (uppercut) his fiancée unconscious. He immediately ran for no gain, and then fell down after the first security guard touched him. (They say ‘uppercut’, but honestly, isn’t any punch from Rice considered an uppercut?)

We’re two weeks into free agency, and things have pretty much been decided on the offensive side of the ball. Mike Wallace is in Miami, Reggie Bush is in Detroit, and Terrell Owens is shockingly still out there. On defense, things are still in a bit of flux. Elvis Dumervil’s contract situation has been well-documented, […]

We’re halfway through the fantasy football season and the bodies are continuing to pileup in the clinic. Here’s who’s getting treated this week and how it impacts your fantasy team. Washington WR Pierre Garcon continues to be hampered by his foot issues and has been described as a long shot to play this week against […]
