If you think you have it bad, consider your favorite Razzball football writer went 0-2 in his home leagues, 1-2 in his charity leagues, and 0-2 in the Razzball PPR listener leagues while just squeaking by to survive in the Razzball Guillotine League.  These are the weeks you place in your rearview mirror and just move forward.  Do not ignore what happened unless the perfect storm of subpar performance occurred roster-wide (which it did for me).  If you made mistakes, learn from those, but if your team(s) simply sucked, then make a note and move on.

Add to the misery another weekend with significant injuries, and you have the makings of a week that was unfun for a lot of fantasy managers.  It appears as if we have lost James Conner and Najee Harris for the remainder of the 2025 season.  In the nightcap, Tyrone Tracy Jr., who was carrying most of the load for the Giants, left with a shoulder injury (Out 1-4 weeks).  Mike Evans had a hamstring issue in the Bucs game and did not return (Out 1-4 weeks).  Terry McLaurin departed in the second half versus the Raiders (day to day; up to 3 weeks).  And possibly the biggest name on the list, CeeDee Lamb left early in the first half after having his lower leg rolled up on and was unable to continue after running one more route (Out 1-4 weeks).  Pay attention to the snap count for the players that spelled these injured names.  Each should be considered adds and might be mentioned below.

WAIVERS:

ADD OF THE WEEK = RB Trey Benson – As noted above, James Conner will undergo season ending surgery opening the door for one of the most prominent RB handcuffs heading in this year.  Through three weeks, Benson has averaged just under 8.50 PPR points.  He has not looked great but should immediately become the three-down starter for the Cardinals.  Benson is not known for being a receiving back, but does have eight receptions, in a limited back-up role, through three weeks.  With the RB injuries to date, Benson, currently 48% available should be rostered in all formats.  Normally, this spot would be reserved for Cam Skattebo, however, he will not make the article as he is currently 75% rostered.  If he is available in any of your leagues, drop your FAAB on him at 70-75%.  We was the NYG offense on Sunday night.

RB: This position is going to be a mess all season.  Do not panic is the prevailing theme throughout this article holds true for this position.  Currently 64% rostered, I believe we should still be adding Bhayshul Tuten even though Travis Etienne has made it clear the lead role is his to lose.

Honorable Mention/Cheaper Options:

Jeremy McNichols – 3% rostered: Do not get carried away here.  McNichols saw the fewest carries of the Commanders trio of RBs in Week 3.  He had one massive TD run which is the only thing some fantasy managers will focus on.  For me, I prefer to look at the 11 carries for Chris Rodriguez – 5% rostered as I head to the waiver wire.  Additionally, CRod started the game which is a good sign.  Neither of these RBs will be a world beater, but if you are looking for a floor play, my recommendation is Rodriguez over McNichols.

Kenneth Gainwell – 10% rostered: TD vulture strikes again in fantasy football.  Jaylen Warren is the clear RB1 for the Steelers but Gainwell is getting some run.  Another floor play with a guy who will get some snaps.

Ollie Gordon II – 20% rostered:  Do not forget that Gordon saw nine carries on Thursday night while also being the recipient of the solo goal line carry.  Achane is certainly the best offensive player for the Phins, so temper your expectations when adding Gordon.

WR: Tre Tucker – 4% rostered:  I am not adding Tre Tucker because I prefer to not chase career weeks, and Tucker just logged one in Week 3 with his stat line of 8-145-3.  I do not expect to see anything close to these numbers moving forward.  In fact, I would be shocked if Tucker adds three more TDs during the 2025 season.  As someone that writes this waiver article, I would be remiss if I knowingly omitted Tucker, so here he is.

Honorable Mention/Cheaper Options:

Sterling Shepard – 0% rostered:  See the Mike Evans injury above.  If Big Mike cannot go in Week 4, then Shepard will get much of the action in his stead.  Keep an eye on practice reports coming out of Tampa, and make sure you watch news on Chris Godwin.  Remember, Godwin was not PUP’d most likely because the coaching staff thought he would not miss four weeks.

Elic Ayomanor – 12% rostered: Another week, another TD.  The rookie out of Stanford is starting to make this a habit.  I think he gets better as the season moves along, and he continues to build rapport with Cam Ward.

Tory Horton – 2% rostered:  Could be taking over the WR2 spot in Seattle.  I doubt it happens with Kupp still healthy, but the kid looks good through three weeks.

Luther Burden III – 11%:  Another pump the brakes WR that went off in Week 3.  I do not see Burden taking over the WR2 from DJ Moore, but HC Ben Johnson clearly sees something he likes with Burden.  He might be a speculative add for bye week coverage more than a weekly plug-and-play option.

Parker Washington – 0% rostered:  Strange Jabs offense that saw Washington with 11 targets after Dyami Brown left with an injury.  No clue why those targets are not to Brian Thomas Jr originally but here we are.

KaVontae Turpin – 5% rostered:  With the news that CeeDee Lamb is highly unlikely to play in Week 4, there are worse options than the speedy WR in a pass first offense.

TE: Hunter Henry – 60% rostered:  Crazy how Henry went from one target to the best TE to ever wear the Patriots jersey.  I made the mistake of dumping him in three leagues after his abysmal Week 2 performance and am kicking myself today.  Henry should be rostered in all leagues and fired up as a starter immediately.  If Henry is rostered in your league, and you want to swing for the fences, take a look at Chargers TE Oronde Gadsden – 0% rostered as a dart throw in very deep leagues.

As mentioned above, it has only been three weeks, so if you lost, got smashed even, relax.  It will be OK.  There is no need to rush to drop any specific player, unless you see the name in the opening paragraph.
