This week in the 2024 Top 150 PPR Rankings, we discuss the league winners part 2 “The Bargain Bin!” This article breaks down the players in rounds 6-10 who can win your league at a discount in 2024 and ends with our latest Top 150 PPR Rankings. Some of these players could be ranked higher or lower since the rounds indicated in the write-up are based on Razzball ADP. You can find it here!

What goes into my rankings? Every year, I start with a baseline of what happened the prior year. Then, I review key situations that might have impacted the player’s production like injuries, bad coaching, or lack of talent around that player. Next, I review what has changed heading into this season. This includes coaching or personnel changes, injuries, training camp news, and the latest preseason notes on how a player has moved up or down the depth chart.

The Bargain Bin League Winners

 Round 6

  • Player: Kyler Murray (QB)
  • Team: Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray has dominated when he has played with an elite WR1. In the 28 career games when he and DeAndre Hopkins played over 50% of the snaps, Murray averaged 28.3 points per game in six point per TD leagues. That would have been QB1 in 2023.

 Round 7

  • Player: Jordan Love (QB)
  • Team: Green Bay Packers

The Jordan Love breakout already happened in 2023! Over the second half of the season, he was the QB3. Love did this with all of his key receivers being either in their first or second season. Now, he gets back a healthy Christian Watson, and another year with these receiving corps. The arrow is pointing up!

  • Player: Raheem Mostert (RB)
  • Team: Miami Dolphins

Raheem Mostert had 21 total touchdowns and 18 on the ground last season. In the history of the NFL, 10 RBs scored 18 rushing touchdowns in a season and returned to the same team the next year. Those RBs still scored over 11 touchdowns the following year. If we take away seven TDs, Mostert is still the RB15 on a per-game basis last year.

 Round 8

  • Player: Christian Watson (WR)
  • Team: Green Bay Packers

When healthy, Christian Watson has been great. Over his first two seasons, Watson has averaged 14 PPR PPG (WR23 in 2023) in the 16 games he played over 50% of the snaps. Watson has played most of two WR sets so he could be close to a full-time player in 2024.

  • Player: Javonte Williams (RB)
  • Team: Denver Broncos

Javonte Williams’ 2023 season was lost due to a multi-ligament knee injury he suffered in 2022. Now healthy, Williams has lost weight and looks to be the RB1 for Sean Payton. Over the final five seasons in New Orleans, the Saints were top eight in RB fantasy points in four of them under Payton.

  • Player: Marquise Brown (WR)
  • Team: Kansas City Chiefs

Marquise Brown played 18 games with Kyler Murray and Lamar Jackson in 2021 and 2022. In those games, he averaged 16.9 PPR PPG (WR10 in 2023.) Now he gets to play with Patrick Mahomes.

  • Player: Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR)
  • Team: Seattle Seahawks

New Seahawks OC Ryan Grubb comes from Washington (The Huskies…it’s a college football team apparently) where he featured three WRs in their offense including Rome Odunze, Ja’Lynn Polk and Jalen McMillan. More importantly, that offense under Grubb led the FBS in passing yards and attempts. This style of offense should lead to more playing time for JSN in 2024.

 Round 9

  • Player: Jayden Daniels (QB)
  • Team: Washington Commanders

New Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury has experience with making rookie QBs fantasy relevant. Back in 2019, Kyler Murray was the QB7 his rookie season. Daniels has the duel threat ability to do the same.

  • Player: Jameson Williams (WR)
  • Team: Detroit Lions

It’s easy to forget that Jameson Williams tore his ACL late in his college career. This led to a redshirt rookie season. Then in year 2, he was suspended for gambling. Now fully healthy with a full off-season, he should be the 3rd option for the Lions. Historically Goff’s 3rd options average about 5.5 targets a game. This means Williams could push for 100 targets this season.

 Round 10

  • Player: Chase Brown (RB)
  • Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Camp reports have stated that Chase Brown has been getting the majority of the first-team snaps. Last season Brown averaged 1.06 fantasy points per touch. That would have tied him with Jahmyr Gibbs. If Brown gets close to 15 touches, he could flirt with Top 15 value in 2024.

  • Player: Romeo Doubs (WR)
  • Team: Green Bay Packers

Romeo Doubs has been consistently referred to as Jordan Love’s go-to WR this off-season. This shouldn’t come as a surprise after his performance in the playoffs in 2023 with a (6-151-1) and (4-83) receiving lines. Getting a potential WR1 with a rising star at QB seems like a no-brainer in round 10.

Is any razzball writer going to do a weekly rankings by position vs ecr as in the past couple years?

Final team drafted tonight. Not so pleased. QBs started flying and I reached for Burrow instead of grabbingAndrews who I love. Thought I could get Kincaid or Kittle but ended up with Engram. Spilt milk.
    Thoughts on the squad?

    Burrow
    Hall, Javonte
    St Brown, Deebo
    Kupp
    Engram
    Chiefs
Bench – went all RBs hoping to catch one!
