Welcome to Week 10 of the NFL season. It’s been over 2 months since week 1. Huh? That can’t be right. I am going to protest this unabated movement of time. It’s unconstitutional. As I paint my “Stop Time” signs you should check out some injury news and linkage. Ok? ok.

The abuse that happened under the nose of Penn State coaches and administrators has made the whole country sick. And if you read the grand jury report you may have trouble sleeping at night. Sadly this crime happens all of the time. Go here to help out by donating to prevent sexual abuse.

Injury News:

UPDATED: Desean Jackson is OUT today.

Mario Manningham and Hakeem Nicks: Both are game time decisions and Manningham was a late addition to the injury report after waking up with swelling. The Giants take on the 49ers in an afternoon game so make sure you have a backup plan if either can’t go.  Any way you look at it this boosts Victor Cruz’s value. And if both end up sitting it would give Ramses Barden a big boost as well.

T.J. Ward: The Brown’s strong safety is out 4-6 weeks with a bum foot which really weakens the Browns rush defense. That is a good thing for Steven Jackson.

Mark Ingram: He’s back and listed as probable. He’ll be a bit of a desperation start coming off injury, but if you gotstuh yuh gostuh.

Andre Johnson: He’s going to take the bye off to get fully healed up. He should help a lot of teams in the fake playoffs.

Ahmad Bradshaw: He is still out. There are no plans for surgery right now according to Coughlin. That doesn’t sound all that reassuring. I’d buy B. Jacobs especially after what should be a down game against the Niners.

Percy Harvin: He wasn’t even listed on the injury report! Woo hoo! Start him.

Jason Hanson: He’s hurting but will play. Might as well grab a healthy kicker even though Hanson has been very good this season. I’m leaning Josh Scobee in my FanDuels.

Mark Clayton: He’s back! With Sam Bradford throwing for a big 3 touchdowns in 6 starts I’m not jumping on the Clayton train yet, but things have to start looking up for the Rams.

Rian Lindell: In case you aren’t fully up on your kicker news, Lindell done for the season. The picked up Dave Rayner, but you can probably find someone better in free agency.

Jermaine Gresham: It looks like he’ll play but may not be 100%. I’d stay away if possible.

Lance Moore: He didn’t practice on Friday and is a game time decision. I’d stay away from him and maybe bump Colston up for an extra red zone look.

    Got offered Eli and Mathews for DMC. Ryan is my QB and my RBs are Murray, Felix, M.Bush, Blount and Helu. Not high on Mathews because he’s more injury prone than DMC.

    I know I need QB help but I like Ryan to give me 15-20 pts while my RBs carry my team.

    Thoughts? Thanks Doc.

  2. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Brian: I like Eli a lot, but he has a pretty tough schedule and I would want to keep DMC there.

  3. The G says:

    Doc,

    Of these three WR’s, which two wld u start this week (standard, ppr):

    -Greg Jennings vs Vikes
    -Julio Jones vs Saints
    -Dez Bryant vs Bills

    Thanks!

  4. Doc

    Doc says:

    @The G: Greg and Dez

    Who would you recommend for a flex spot between Laurent Robinson, Antonio Brown, and Pettigrew? Thanks

    @Bill: Brown

    @John H: Thanks. Fixed.

  8. Benny says:
    (link)

    Would you trade Eli and Finley for Stafford and Keller? It’s a .5pt ppr and 6pt per TD league. I also have Fred Davis to replace Finley with. Eli’s schedule the rest of the way kind of scares me and Stafford’s looks appealing.

    No IDP rankings this week?

  10. hideousmutants says:
    (link)

    All my non-injured/non-BYE guys are 1pm games so I need to pick someone to start over Manningham.

    Helu or Julio Jones? The thing is I’ve already got Roddy White (and my opponent is starting Matt Ryan so big games for BOTH Julio and Roddy will cost me)

  11. PF says:
    (link)

    Hey Doc,

    VJax already killed me with his 2 pts – yes, i already forgot about the 30 he put up last week – and know i have to choose 2 of the following

    Manningham – GTD
    Jacobs – against niners rush D
    Jonathan Stewart
    Ogbonnaya – against STL rush D

  12. CL says:
    (link)

    Doc!

    12 team, 1pt PPR, return yards, pick one for my flex:

    Bennett (my pick), Garcon, or Ogbonnaya?

    For WR, I’m starting Laurent Robinson over Reggie Wayne, cool?

    Thanks, and enjoy the day!

  13. brett says:
    (link)

    Doc, I need to start one of these four in my flex spot (standard scoring):

    Pierre Thomas @ ATL
    James Starks vs MIN
    Brandon Jacobs @ SF
    Eric Decker @ KC

    What do you think? Thanks

  14. scout says:
    (link)

    Doc
    What do you think:
    For #2 WR Antonio Brown or Jordy Nelson?

    For #2 RB Cedric Benson or James Starks?

    Thanks

  15. JG says:
    (link)

    Which 2 should I start today?
    Doug Baldwin – Dexter McCluster – Jon Baldwin

  16. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

    @JG: Baldwin brothers

    @scout: Close call. Leaning Nelson and Benson

    @brett: Tough call. Leaning Starks.

    @CL: I’m with you

    @PF: Stewart and Manny if he plays, Jacobs if he doesn’t

    @hideousmutants: If it’s PPR I’d go Helu. If not go with your gut.

    @principal blackman: Check out Joe’s Two Minute Drill for the links to the IDP rankings.

    @Benny: Go for it

  17. scout says:

  19. quimmy says:

  20. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

    @quimmy: I’d say it’s between Avant and Celek. Gonna lean Avant.

  21. jared says:

    .5 ppr. for my 3rd wide receiver garcon, harvin, or earl bennet?

  22. quimmy says:

  23. Matt says:

    Today I have going:

    Vick
    Wallace
    R. White
    MJD
    Helu
    T. Gonzales

    Now with Deshawn out I need another Flex option.:

    Beanie Wells @ Phi (did next to nothing vs Rams last week)

    or

  35. Art Vandelay says:

    Hey Doc, do you like Manningham or Harvin better rest of the season, non PPR? Thanks.

  36. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

    @TOV: Close. Leaning Williams

    @Steve: Forte, Nicks (if you have someone to replace him with if he can’t go)

    @slew: Love Cruz and Harvin this week. Leaning Cruz

  37. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

    @Art Vandelay: Manny should be safer, but I’m leaning Harvin for upside

    @ELaw: It is, but I’d still have to lean his side

    Which WR do I go with, need 2 or 3 to start…B.Marshall, Jordy Nelson, N. Washington, J. Avant or E. Bennett? Do I play RB J. Stewart as my flex or take a chance on 3 WRs?

    Thanks

  42. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

    @John Rambo Junior: I’d sit Wash and Bennett

    @footballin’: Marshall and Starks

    @Satan: Sanchez will have an easier matchup for sure. Not sure how much the wind will hurt Ben. Still leaning Ben.

    (link)

    Thanks, Shanahan.

  51. Heraldo says:
    (link)

    Please help with some trade analysis:
    I would trade M. Wallace & B. Lloyd for MJD & Jon Baldwin (throw-away).

    10 team, Non-PPR, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex.

    My team:
    QB: Tebow, Hasselback
    RB: Forte, Stewart, Hunter, Helu, Ogbonnaya
    WR: Wallace, Bowe, Marshall, Lloyd, Harvin
    TE: Gates, Pettigrew

    His team:
    QB: Vick, Ryan
    RB: MJD, Hillis, Battle, LT, Starks
    WR: S. Johnson, Colston, Burress
    TE: Gronkowski, Davis

    After viewing the ROS rankings, STL and PIT have tough passing match-ups going forward; although, JAC’s rushing schedule isn’t a cake-walk. But adding to the confusion, is that I have faith in J. Stewart and as I type, Hunter seems to be getting more carries due to Gore’s injuries. And I’m aware that is this effectively a 2 player for 1 player trade, so is MJD worth as much as I would be trading?
