Did you win to get in?  If you did, then I have no doubt you are here to work on the final names to help your roster be what it needs to be to win the whole thing.  Do not stop your analysis.  Focus one game at a time unless you have a bye at which point you should be looking at least one week ahead especially as defenses are considered.  If your team feels right, there is no need to tinker unless you are playing defense to keep a player away from your competition.  Sometimes frowned upon by others, this strategy is free game and should be employed when it benefits your team.  If you are not going all in are you really trying to win?

An additional, small consideration for you, the reader, as you move through my weekly columns is to understand that a waiver article is not a mandate from me to you to add/drop players each week.  Sometimes the best move is the one you do not make.  I fully understand that waivers and trades are top of the fun list in fantasy football but remember winning trumps all other fun things in fantasy football.  Take the following names as options, considerations for your squad versus must-add players.  Only add players when it makes sense for you and your team(s).

Do not forget the @Razzball NFL team of writers will be hosting our Sunday Morning Start/Sit podcast every week starting three hours before kickoff all the way up to the official start of the early games.  Bobby – @BobbyLaMarco, Sky – @SkyGuasco, Derek – @Derek_Favret, and me/Matt – @stiles08, will be answering all your questions to help you win your weekly matchups.  Come for the analysis and stay for the laughs!

WAIVERS:

ADD OF THE WEEK = Adam Thielen – 53% rostered I am now tripling down on Thielen after he a second straight week of double-digit targets.  Over his past three games, since returning from injury, Thielen boasts a line of 25-20-258-1.  Outside of the solo TD, those other numbers are elite for a player still available in almost half of leagues.  For Week 1 of the playoffs, Thielen will see the banged-up Dallas secondary at home. If you make it to the second week, he stays at home in a match-up against a Cardinals defense that just had 30 dropped on them at home versus the Seahawks.  And, just in case you need more convincing, Thielen matches up against the Buccaneers in the championship which is a Top 5 spot for WRs.

QB: Aaron Rodgers – 34% rostered.  You just gotta love to see this performance while the Jets will miss the playoffs for a 14th straight year.  As much as it pains me to recommend my former QB (Packers fan of course), Rodgers has the top Week 15 matchup as the Jags welcome the Jets to town.  Week 16 will see ARod go up against a Rams defense that just gave up 40+ points, and six total TDs to Josh Allen and the Bills.  There are worse options out there.  Just sayin’.

Honorable Mention/Cheaper Options:

Jameis Winston – 34% rostered (interceptions notwithstanding, dude just throws a lot, and we love volume

Bryce Young – 6% rostered (rough Week 14 versus Philly; has ideal schedule during the fantasy playoffs)

RB: Patrick Taylor – 4% rostered.  The plug-and-play San Francisco RB approach just keeps working.  Isaac Guerendo was smashing the Bears (love to see it!) until he was injured.  Guerendo, the third string RB appears to have an ankle sprain.  Monitor this situation closely.  If your Week 15 opponent rosters Guerendo, you need to spend some FAAB to obtain Taylor to block a late addition that could burn you.  The Rams are in the bottom 10 against the RBs for fantasy.  We may not know enough about Guerendo when waivers run, so you may have to make a gut call here with Taylor.

Honorable Mention/Cheaper Options:

Sincere McCormick – 15% rostered (the Raiders backfield is now his; volume plays well in Weeks 16-17 with two grand matchups home versus Jax and at NO)

Kimani Vidal – 13% rostered (the eye test shows me he is better than an aging Gus Edwards; not sure HC Harbaugh agrees with me)

Isaiah Davis – 11% rostered (true 50-50 split with Braelon Allen in Week 14; two straight weeks with a TD)

WR: Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – 26% rostered.  He came back to Earth in Week 14, but his roster percentage is still too low.  Look for the Titans to do more than two field goals in Week 15 against a Bengals defense with a lot of holes.

Honorable Mention/Cheaper Options:

Quentin Johnston – 40% rostered (another week, another TD)

Romeo Doubs – 38% rostered (sneaky add; was dropped in a bunch of leagues due to his concussion and the brutal Week 14 byes)

Elijah Moore – 22% rostered (should be added everywhere considering how often Jameis throws and a lack of a sustainable running game)

Joshua Palmer – 16% rostered (nine targets with McConkey sidelined; keep an eye on this situation

Jalen McMillan – 5% rostered (seven targets, two TDs; tough Week 15 matchup at LAC)

TE:  Zach Ertz – 49% rostered is back from bye.  Fire him up down the stretch at NO and home versus Philly (revenge game anyone?).  Juwan Johnson – 10% rostered stepped in for the injured Taysom Hill with 5-4-50-1.  You will happily take that from a free waiver wire acquisition.  Stone Smartt – 0% rostered is a fun name against a porous TB defense if Will Dissly is down in Week 15.

Remember, you do NOT have to make a move each week.  If you look at your roster and a hole does not immediately jump out to you, then maybe your team is good to go for Week 15.  If you see a hole (injury, bye, underperformance), then start looking at options to make your team better.
