Week 3 of the NFL season has come and gone, and now is the best time to start identifying dynasty buy-low and sell-high candidates to help you make a push for the fantasy football playoffs.

In this week’s episode of Dynasty Diehards, Matt and I identify our favorite buy-low and sell-high candidates to get your roster in tip-top shape.

Dynasty Buy-Low and Sell-High Candidates

Sneaky Spears Rising

Despite the uncanny efficiency and production of the aging Derrick Henry, Titans rookie RB Tyjae Spears has shown he has standalone fantasy football value, logging an impressive average of 5.47 yards per carry and seeing 10 targets in the air attack. Spears’ role in the Titans’ offensive attack seems to be growing every week.

As the season unfolds, it’s clear that he will continue to be a part of the Titans offensive attack, with a clear window to be Henry’s successor. This is the perfect example of a dynasty buy low candidate. Right now, you can get an impact RB for the next three to five years for a fraction of what it will cost at this time next season.

Tank For The Win?

Tank Dell, the electric rookie WR for the Houston Texans, is quickly making his case to be the team’s WR1. Despite the prevailing skepticism surrounding the Texans’ offense, Dell and fellow WR Nico Collins have shined as a complementary tandem in Houston. With an efficient run game behind Dameon Pierce and Devin Singletary, there’s been more passing volume than anyone anticipated, benefiting both Collins and Dell. However, Dell is currently the PPR WR14 to Collins at WR20.

Rookie QB CJ Stroud has been much better than anticipated thus far in 2023, and Dell seems to be his favorite target through three weeks of the season. Dell is being slept on right now with the name recognition of Collins, making him an affordable dynasty buy low acquisition before his value inevitably rises in the coming weeks.

Davante Doomed?

Las Vegas WR Davante Adams has been a pleasant surprise to many since joining the Raiders ahead of the 2022 season. Despite the expectations of a massive dropoff, Adams finished last season as the PPR WR3 and is currently the PPR WR4 after 42 fantasy points in Week 3. However, with QB Jimmy Garappolo now in concussion protocol, coupled with an all-around inept offensive attack and suspect leadership, it’s not looking great for Adams moving forward.

While it would be foolish to say that the current WR4 is toast, the inevitable dropoff is coming. Adams is 30 years old and will be 31 next season. We know this is when WER production begins to decline. In addition, he could have journeyman backup Brian Hoyer behind center for a good portion of the rest of 2023 in an already floundering offense. Now is the time to capitalize on his peak value and ship him off to a contender to secure your future.
