It’s here and we haven’t seen a single preseason snap. I have to go off of twitter videos, coach speak and instinct. Eh, that’s alright, I feel like I have a pretty good grip on things. I’m pretty conservative this week when it came to moving people around. A lot of it has to deal with the unknown, but a big reason is that you should be starting your studs. There is no reason to get cute. Week 1 is not an absolute must win (although it would be nice to get one, right?”)

Some of week 1 rankings will mirror my season long ranking of a player depending on the matchup that he has. I have Austin Ekeler a few spots ahead of consensus. Having him top 5 against the Bengals is a no brainer. And I also have Ronald Jones as a low-end RB2 play this week. He will realistically get the majority of the touches in a balanced run/pass offense.

I have Kyler Murray a few spots ahead of consensus. I expect some familiarity for Kyler and regression from the world beating San Francisco 49ers in the first couple of weeks. They are working with a couple of new pieces on that defense. I also moved Joe Burrow up to playable in 2QB leagues. His consensus ranking is dumb this week.

For wide receivers, I moved Terry up a couple of spots against the Eagles. I moved Tyler Boyd up to a WR2 where he belongs. I moved JuJu back a little and gave Diontae Johnson a bump. For tight ends, I like Hurst as a top 5 play against Seattle and Gesecki should eat against a pieced together Patriots defense. Here are the rest of my rankings for week 1.
