This week using our Slot vs. Wide PPG Allowed Analysis on Razzball.com, we break down some of the top matchups for wide receivers heading into Week 11. Please note, since we don’t want to be called Captain Obvious, all our starts are wide receivers currently outside the top 24 in PPR PPG, while our sits our inside the top 24.

I guess these would be more “BOLD” starts and sits, so if you’re second guessing some of these takes, bring your start sit questions to our Sunday live start sit show on the Razzball Fantasy YouTube channel, 8:00 am – 10:00 am PST every Sunday!

To hear a full breakdown of the slot vs. wide matchups, join our wide receiver matchup show this Friday at 5:00 p.m. PST on the Razzball Fantasy YouTube channel, but for now, let’s dive into the top matchups for Week 11.

Wide Receiver Starts

Week 11 START: Deebo Samuel

Defense: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 5th

We are getting close to the holiday season, and because Deebo Samuel gave me the gift of being right last week, I thought I would return the favor and call him a start again this week. The Buccaneers secondary has been oddly vulnerable this season, allowing the 2nd most fantasy points overall and the 5th most out wide since Week 5. This includes allowing the 2nd most YAC per game on the year. That shows me that Deebo should be in for another WR2 week.

Week 11 START: Romeo Doubs

Defense: Los Angeles Chargers

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 9th

The fact that his quarterback is named Jordan Love and his name is Romeo Doubs should have made Doubs a WR1 automatically. I guess that would make me Juliet in this scenario since he’s a start?…. A lot to unpack there. Let’s focus on the numbers. The Chargers are one of only seven teams to allow at least 70% of their fantasy points out wide since Week 5. This should force Love to get romantic and find his best option Doubs who has found the end zone in three of his last four games.

Week 11 Start: Rashee Rice

Defense: Philadelphia Eagles

Slot PPG Allowed: 1st

Andy Reid coming out of the bye is one of the biggest sure things in football. However, this might be the first time he is facing the No. 1 team in the league in that scenario. Either way, I expect Big Red to be prepared to put up points. The Eagles have been getting crushed in the slot allowing the most fantasy points from the interior since Week 5. This should lead to a lot of success for Rashee Rice who has passed up Skyy Moore on the depth chart and is the primary slot man in Kansas City.

Wide Receiver Sits

Week 11 SIT: Jakobi Meyers

Defense: Miami Dolphins

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 21st

The first thing you need to learn is to admit when you’re wrong, and well, I was wrong about Davante Adams. I called Adams a sell candidate, but in reality, the player that was most impacted by the changes in Las Vegas is Jakobi Meyers. The Raiders are making it a priority to get Adams the ball which leaves Meyers as a distant WR2. In Aidan O’Connell’s four starts this season, Meyers has averaged 3.3 receptions for 35.5 yards and one score. This week the Raiders face a Dolphins DST that now has Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard healthy on the outside, making Meyers a fade in Week 11.

Week 11 SIT: Jordan Addison

Defense: Denver Broncos

Out Wide Allowed: 30th

This sit has less to do with Jordan Addison and the looming return of Justin Jefferson and more to do with the Denver Broncos. Can you recall a time when a defense has turned it around this quickly? Since getting torched by the Bears in Week 4, the Broncos have shut down Patrick Mahomes (twice) and Josh Allen. During that stretch, they haven’t allowed a single wide receiver over 11.2 PPR points in a game. Now you factor in that Addison has fallen outside the top 24 wide receivers in back-to-back weeks since the Kirk Cousins injury. It makes him a sit for me this week.

Week 10 Recap

START Deebo Samuel vs. the Jaguars – The 49ers showed up after the bye, and Deebo found the end zone! HIT

START D.K. Metcalf vs. the Commanders – The Commanders are a defense to attack with outside wide receivers. HIT

SIT Davante Adams vs. the Jets – Aidan O’Connell loves Davante Adams more than Travis Kelce loves Taylor Swift, I guess. MISS

START Christian Kirk vs. the 49ersChristian Kirk continues to outpace Calvin Ridley week in and week out, finishing as the WR16. HIT

START Josh Downs vs. the Patriots Josh Downs was still limited after injuring his knee. He only played 19 snaps. MISS!

SIT Garrett Wilson vs. the Raiders – I need to do a better understanding of how much of a share wide receivers have in their offense. Garrett Wilson gets like 80% of his team’s wide receiver production, which means he should be a viable WR2/3 every week. MISS

Score – 3 of 6
