This week using our Slot vs. Wide PPG Allowed Analysis on Razzball.com, we break down some of the top matchups for wide receivers heading into Week 12. These wide receivers are currently outside the top 24 in PPR PPG while our sits are inside the top 30. I guess these would be more “BOLD” starts and sits so if you’re second guessing some of these takes, bring your start sit questions to our Sunday live start sit show on the Razzball Fantasy YouTube channel, 8:00 am – 10:00 am PST every Sunday!

To hear a full breakdown of the slot vs. wide matchups join our wide receiver matchup show this Friday at 5:00 p.m. PST on the Razzball Fantasy YouTube channel, but for now, let’s dive into the top matchups for Week 12.

Wide Receiver Starts

Week 11 START: Odell Beckham

Defense: Los Angeles Chargers

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 8th

Look, no one is calling Odell Beckham the turkey of your lineup, but he could be the final piece of the puzzle to help you win your Thanksgiving week matchup. Over the past five games Beckham has seen at least seven targets in three of them. This includes three straight performances with at least 11 PPR points. The loss of Mark Andrews should move everyone up the pecking order which should solidify Beckham as a WR3 with WR2 upside ROS.

Week 11 START: Brandin Cooks

Defense: Washington Commanders

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 2nd

In the last two home games vs. the Washington Commanders, Dak Prescott has thrown for at least 300 yards and four touchdowns in each game. That sounds like the type of recipe I want a piece of in my lineup. Like if Dak is the Turkey and Ceedee Lamb is your favorite side, Brandin Cooks would be the side that you put a little of on your plate (this would be stuffing for me in this scenario). Anyway, Cooks has clearly passed up Michael Gallup as the WR2 scoring 14 PPR points in three of his last five games.

Week 11 Start: Demario Douglas

Defense: New York Giants

Slot PPG Allowed: 3rd

No one and I mean no one will say Demario Douglas is your go-to Thanksgiving meal. Demario Douglas is probably more like if you over cooked the turkey and now you need to call Dominoes. That being said, it’s delicious and might actually be better than that lame as Turkey. Douglas has been solid over the past month, securing at least five receptions in three straight games. This high floor should allow him to capitalize on a prime matchup vs. the Giants.

Wide Receiver Sits

Week 11 SIT: Amari Cooper

Defense: Denver Broncos

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 30th

First off, congrats to the Browns on a big win last week, good stuff. Now 13-10 wins might be great for Browns fans, but they aren’t great for fantasy teams. In the two starts with Dorian Thompson-Robinson as his quarterback, Amari Cooper has gone 1-16 and 4-34. This floor makes him risky on any given week. Now in Week 12, he faces a Broncos DST that has been shutting down perimeter wide receivers since the Bears game in Week 4.  He’s off my plate this thanksgiving!

Week 11 SIT: Jaylen Waddle

Defense: New York Jets

Out Wide Allowed: 32nd

A lot of people might not consider Jaylen Waddle a bust, but this season hasn’t been great for the talented wide receiver. Through Week 11, Waddle only has three games of at least 13 PPR points and has been more of a WR3 than the borderline WR1 he was drafted to be this season. Now facing the toughest defense vs. outside wide receivers, Waddle should be an easy fade. In 2022, Waddle failed to be a top 36 wide receiver in either game vs. the Jets.

Honorable mention Start: Gabe Davis vs. the Eagles

Week 11 Recap

START Deebo Samuel vs. the Buccaneers – The 49ers went off and forget to invite Deebo Samuel to the party. MISS

START Romeo Doubs vs. the Chargers – Romeo Doubs got romantic for me and found the end zone finishing as the WR16! HIT

START Rashee Rice vs. the Eagles – The rain didn’t help the Eagles vs. Chiefs game. This led to an underwhelming passing day for both sides. MISS

SIT Jakobi Meyers vs. the 49ers – The Aiden O’Connell Davante Adams connection is the real deal. This leaves Meyers with very little to work with. HIT

SIT Jordan Addison vs. the Broncos – The Broncos’ secondary went from laughingstock to dominate in the blink of an eye. HIT

Score – 3 of 5
