Notable Out Wide Matchups

Defense: Los Angeles Chargers

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 1st

Week 6 START: Michael Gallup

After starting off the season with back-to-back one-catch performances, Michael Gallup has decided that he wants to be great at football again. Since Week 3, Gallup has seen at least five targets in each game and had two strong performances (5-60) and (6-92) before the 49ers asked him to stop being good for a bit. Now heading into Week 6, Gallup has an elite matchup vs. a Chargers team that allows the most fantasy points out wide this season. This includes allowing nine different wide receivers to hit double-digit fantasy points in PPR.

Defense: Washington Commanders

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 2nd

Week 6 START: Drake London

After seeing just one target in Week 1, the people of Atlanta and the Fantasy community filed a petition stating that if you don’t start throwing more to Drake London, then well, we won’t do anything, but we would be upset. The good news is Arthur Smith and Desmond Ridder care about our feelings and begin to feed the rock to London. Since Week 1, London has averaged six or more targets in each game. Now in Week 6, he faces a Commanders team that has been crushed by opposing number 1 wide receivers, including Stefon Diggs (8-111), A.J. Brown (9-175-2), and D.J. Moore (8-230-3).

Defense: Atlanta Falcons

Out Wide PPG Allowed: 30th

Week 6 SIT: Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson

It hasn’t been the magic carpet ride we all thought it would be under Eric Bieniemy for Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson. If Bieniemy is Aladdin, then McLaurin and Dotson have fought to be his Jasmin! This has led to limited room on the magic carpet. If you are having a hard time with this analogy, then think of it like how Rose couldn’t squeeze Jack on top of the door in the Titanic. Anyway, this pass offense has too many weapons, and the Falcons just shut down a similar duo in Nico Collins and Tank Dell on the outside last week.

Notable Slot Matchups

Defense: Kansas City Chiefs

Slot PPG Allowed: 12th

Week 6 START: Jerry Jeudy

We need to remember before judging Jerry Jeudy, which is super ironic since Judge Judy was doing the judging, and now, we are judging Jerry Jeudy. I mean, talk about a full-circle moment. What was I saying? Oh, prior to the season, Jeudy suffered a serious hamstring injury that forced him to miss week 1. Now well over a month removed from that injury, we should start seeing him return to full health. Last season in this matchup vs. the Chiefs, Jeudy played well, securing 15 receptions for 111 yards and three touchdowns in two games.

Defense: Atlanta Falcons

Slot PPG Allowed: 7th

Week 6 START: Curtis Samuel

Last week we got burned by Robert Woods playing him against the Falcons #Campingpuns… you get it, burned/Woods like building a campfire because you need wood to do that. Okay, let’s focus on the analysis. Woods didn’t finish with a great fantasy day (3-30), but he had nine targets. This season Curtis Samuel is averaging an 85% catch rate which is nearly 30% higher than Woods at 56%. That alone should get Samuel closer to the 5-6 reception range putting him on the WR3 map in PPR for Week 6.
