2011 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings-PPR
(EDIT: Here are the most up to date rankings –> Auction Values, Tiers and Cheat Sheet for PPR – http://su.pr/A17UuB NonPPR – http://su.pr/9DEgIM)
Good day/evening ladies and guys. We are another day closer to real football! Here are our PPR Rankings for receivers. These are for 1 point per reception leagues. You can check out the non-PPR rankings here and if you do .5 PPR you can throw your computer against a wall and maybe they’ll sort out just right. Now that we have most of our rankings pretty much spelled out we’ll be (I’ll be) throwing out some blurbage on each player (up to a point. I mean, I’m not made of blurbs!) So here are some pee pee arrrrgh! rankings, as a pirate with a urinary tract infection might call them.

Any help with my keepers would be appreciated as I’m so not sure of what to do…12 team H2H, .5 ppr, overall scoring weighted somewhat toward qbs and rbs. Starters are QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/RB, TE, K, D. Here is what I have available to keep and I can keep 0 to 2 players:
Josh Freeman (12)
Felix Jones (5)
Ahmad Bradshaw (5, if I took Jones as well, Bradshaw would be a 4th round pick)
Mike TB Williams (9)
Dwayne Bowe (3)
Anthony Armstrong (12)
Mike Thomas (12)
@manfromearth: For me it’s between Bradshaw and then Jones or Freeman. But without knowing who might be available I would lean toward just keeping Bradshaw and then taking the draft pick.

Doc – nit picking on a couple of your projections.
1) Not convinced Ocho will be for real w. a NE O that likes to spread it out and use TE as WRs. 7 and 950 seems lofty.
2) Steve Smith 2 and 600 – he is starting the year on PUP, correct? Did NYG even resign him?
3) A Armstrong – 3 and 700, did you mean Gaffney here?
4) AJ Green – 100% agree. I see him as the only rookie WR to produce significant fantasy numbers.

I’m in a .5ppr and now have a broken computer to go along with inaccurate WR rankings.
Should I just find a happy medium between the PPR & NON-PPR rankings, smoke a stoag, and call it a day?
@Greg: Armstrong is still the #2 and deep threat. We’ll see if that changes during preseason. Smith will probably miss the first 4 games. We’ll see how he returns. They plan on re-signing him. I see Belichick giving spotlighting Ocho like he always does with his cast offs.
@timSTi: IT doesn’t take too much to switch the rankings to .5. I’ll try to find a place for them.

I’m in a 10 team, .5ppr league that allows only one keeper. I’m trying to decide between keeping Mike Wallace at the cost of a 7th round pick or keeping Mike TB Williams at the cost of an 11th round pick. Thoughts?
@Matt: I’d go with Wallace there.

In a ppr league where ppr = 1 pt but starting this year 1.5 ppr for TE’s. Also new this season, 1 pt per 20 passing yards (4 pts for passing TD) Picking 3rd in a 12 tm. Question is; do I grab a top 6 qb in round 3 or top 3 TE in 3. (I feel like going qb and TE 3rd and 4th would put me at a great disadvantage on decent #2 wr/rb.)
Thoughts?
Thanks. great tiers btw.
@Drew: Thanks. I’d go the TE route with 1.5 scoring. I’d probably still wait on QB unless there is a crazy run. I’m targeting Romo if possible.

PPR Keeper league, Andre Johnson or Roddy White for my 1st keeper. For my 2nd keeper Jamal Charles, Dez Bryant or Vincent Jackson? I have the 11th pick.
@Mike: Gotta go AJ and JC

The “Points” column totals do not include one point per reception. Whoops.
@Xander Harris: Fixed. You should have married Anya!

OT: Wow, wasn’t expecting the reference recognition. This is now officially my favorite fantasy site.
