And it looks like we’re back in our usual groove, as Razzball moved from a middling 76th place showing in Week 2 to 29th overall in Week 3. That moves us into the top-quarter of all experts (at 24th overall on the year) as we move into the quarter mark of the football season. So many quarters, so little pay phones! (I have no idea, do pay phones still exist? And if they did, why not just go to an arcade with all those quarters? Wait, do arcades like that still exist? This whole aside makes me feel old.) I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out the clinic our very own Rudy Gamble is putting on, landing 5th overall so far this year and having another greet week, finishing 18th in Week 3. Be sure to check out our tools and projections!

Week 4 Rankings for Standard, Half-PPR, PPR and IDP leagues are right after the jump! (And our Rest of Season rankings have been updated and can be found here!)

Ranking Accuracy is determined by FantasyPros.

I can’t find Snead but it’s the morning and maybkeep missing him. Also, general thoughts about Snead and Doigh Martin moving forward. I stashed both to start season

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@G: Love both as stashes, and I’ll take a look and see what’s going on, sometimes the FP system removes doubtful and suspended players on import…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@G: Yeah, you were right, he’s been added in, as the WR30 I believe.

  2. Allan says:
    (link)

Hey Jay got Cook and Cohen starting at RB Julio and Baldwin at WR and Amari in the flex. Full point PPR. Play Ingram over Cohen or Cooper? Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Allan: Over Cohen, but not Cooper.

  3. fizz says:
    (link)

    need a flex in standard:

Watkins, Cohen, Abdullah, DJax, Stewart, Henry.

Im starting Howard and Carson at rb.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@fizz: I’d say Cohen right now, but Watkins is close… could change as time goes.

      • fizz says:
        (link)

        @Jay

you’d be comfortable starting both howard and cohen?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@fizz: Yeah, great point. I’d probably diversify with Watkins then.

  4. Crapshoot Kershaw says:
    (link)

20 team PPR redraft. somebody dropped collins (BAL).
    QB (1) stafford/bortles
    RB (2) j.allen/t.west/forte/gurley/oliver
    WR (3) hill/beasley/crabtree/humphries/kerley/d.thompson
    TE (1) ertz/z.miller
    1 flex
drop oliver or anybody else for collins, in case BAL ends up using one of these way more than the others.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: Yeah, Oliver is a fine drop, despite Gordon’s ankle.

  5. fizz says:
    (link)

    need a flex in Standard.

    C. Johnson, D. Johnson, Sanu, Golladay, Crowder

Im starting Bell and Murray at rb.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @fizz: I think Sanu there.

  6. Comatose says:
    (link)

Yo Jay! Would you trade Doug Martin for Landry, or would that make me too Fins dependent? And how would you feel about starting Carson over Parker or Dez this week? I’m dying to fire the kid up. Half PPR, 2 flex.

    QB – Wilson, Big Ben
RB – Ajayi, Hunt, Cook, Martin, Carson, Kelley, White
WR – Green, Cooks, Dez, Parker
    TE – Eifert, Engram

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Comatose: I’d probably hold here. I like Landry, but I’m curious to see how Martin does. Especially with the state of RBs so far.

  7. Terry says:
    (link)

12 team. PPR. Need some flex help. Pick 2

    Cohen
    Crabtree vs Denver
    Garcon (shadowed by Peterson?)
    B. Powell
    Crowder
    Snead

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Terry: Snead and Powell.

  8. Chad B says:
    (link)

    Standard League
2 RB and 3WR started….do I deal one of these RBs?

My RBs – Gurley, Howard, Murray, Henry, Forte
    My WRs- Julio, Sanders,Tyrell, Funchess

Can get from the DJ owner – Cooper, Keenan, Demaryius…

    Was leaning Murray for Cooper.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chad B: Yeah, I like that deal a lot for you.

      • Chad B says:
        (link)

@Jay: He’s trying for Gurley with a Cooper/Smallwood offering? Worth it or keep trying to push Murray on him?

  9. Chad B says:
    (link)

Still have McFadden sitting on a bench….want to drop for a stash…here are couple options:
    Perkins, Fuller, Rawls

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chad B: I’d say Fuller if you need a WR lottery ticket.

  10. 976 says:
    (link)

What’s with the Willie Snead love straight off a suspension and on the road in London? According to your rankings, he’s ahead of Chris Thompson and Chris Hogan for my flex position. Still like him there?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@976: I’ll have to double check the flex ranking on him (he was manually inserted from an error this morning), I think he’s my WR30 right now, but while I do like him, I would put Thompson and Hogan ahead of him this week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@976: I went ahead and reupdated, so it should be correct now.

  11. H says:
    (link)

I need to choose 1 RB, 1 WR and 1 Flex. I’m torn on who to start, Thanks!

    Melvin Gordon
    Carlos Hyde
    Mixon
    Carson

    Tyreek Hill
    TY Hilton
    Demaryius Thomas

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@H: I think it’s Hill, Gordon, and Carson.

  12. Jedimasters says:
    (link)

How does your staff determine Def rankings? Is there an algorithm behind it using Vegas lines and matchups?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jedimasters: My DST rankings are done myself, no algorithm, but Rudy does use his own algorithm. [email protected] if you have any specific questions on it.

  13. Dave says:
    (link)

I traded Tyreek Hill for Amari Cooper straight up in a PPR. My other receivers are OBJ, Cooks, and Davonte Parker so I’m pretty stacked there but was that a terrible trade for me? I didn’t realize how bad Cooper’s schedule is rest of season so I don’t know how well he’ll bounce back.

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Dave: I don’t think it’s terrible, no. I like Cooper a lot.

  14. Nick says:
    (link)

10 team standard..drop Kupp or Ebron (have Graham) for P Richardson, W Fuller, Hurns or Stills?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: Ebron for Fuller is fine.

  15. Steve says:
    (link)

Trade D. Parker/C. Carson/D. Walker for T. Kelce/J. Mixon? Good idea or hold. Thanks.

    WRs Baldwin/ Allen/Parker/Djax/Benjamin
    RBs Gurley/Cook/Martin/Carson/Coleman/Allen
    Te Walker

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Steve: I would hold there.

  16. Yankee My Wanky! says:
    (link)

    Hello Jay,
    2 Questions for you:

In my 12 Team H2H League with 1 point PPR, would you trade Montgomery for Cooper? I also have Freeman and Howard at RB and K. Allen, Sanders and Marshall (Ugh!) as my WRs, so I could use some WR help. Montgomery is my Flex. Cooper doesn’t excite me too much, but I wanted to ask.

In my 12 Team Points League with 1 pt PPR, would you start Snead or Maclin as a WR3?

    Thanks much.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Yankee My Wanky!: Yes, love Cooper there. And I’d start Snead there.

  17. Tony says:
    (link)

    Jay,
In a standard keeper league, my RBs are Lamar, Quizz, J-Stew and Gore.
My WRs are Baldwin, Hopkins, Crabtree, M. Thomas, C. Davis, Fitz, and A-Rob (IR)
Which of those WRs should I offer for Montgomery?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Tony: Maybe Crabtree and Stewart… depends on what the other team is looking for.

      • Tony says:
        (link)

@Jay: He’s trying to torch me. Asked for M. Thomas. I shouldnt need to get rid of another back.

    • Tony says:
      (link)

@Tony: I guess a better way to approach a trade would be to ask you how you value each of those receivers moving forward

  18. Yankee My Wanky! says:
    (link)

    Jay,
One more question if I may. In my 12 Team H2H League with 1 pt PPR, my WRs are Allen, Sanders, Marshall, Higgins and Golladay (yeah, not great). Would you add a Fuller, Richardson or Sanu for any of those guys and would you start any of them over Marshall as a WR3. Allen and Sanders are obviously my WR1 and WR2.

    Thanks Jay.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Yankee My Wanky!: Of course! I’d probably hold, no obvious upgrades here.

  19. Chad B says:
    (link)

In reply to below, thought he’d go for Murray for Cooper, but now ifs offering Smallwood/Cooper for Gurley? Pull trigger or wait a week?

    “Standard League
2 RB and 3WR started….do I deal one of these RBs?

My RBs – Gurley, Howard, Murray, Henry, Forte
    My WRs- Julio, Sanders,Tyrell, Funchess

Can get from the DJ owner – Cooper, Keenan, Demaryius…

    Was leaning Murray for Cooper.””

  20. Kendrick Llama says:
    (link)

Any reason you’re so down on Tyrod this weekend? ATL D is pretty meh . Have to choose between playing Tyrod, Alshon, Devante Parker, and Fitz (pick 2 in PPR)

  21. Brian says:
    (link)

3 leagues. the 1st i have to choose between cam and kizer. i’m leaning cam. The 2nd i have to choose 2 from cam, tyrod, and big ben. leaning ben and tyrod. the 3rd i have to choose 1 from tyrod, watson, and kizer. which ones would you start in the 3 leagues?

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian: Yeah, Cam and then Ben, and then probably Tyrod.

  22. Clos says:
    (link)

Hey Jay what’s going on? 12 man ppr. These are the guys I’m starting, you think I should switch anybody?
Do you think I should drop watt or ogletree for Kwon Alexander or Landon Collins.

    QB Russell Wilson
    WR Dez Bryant, Martavis Bryant
    RB Le’veon Bell
    TE Watson
    W/R/T Mixon, Jordan Howard, Fournette
    Def Bengals
    K succop
    Watt and ogletree
    Bench Thielen, Crowder, Sammy Watkins

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Clos: Maybe Ogletree for Kwon, but I like the setup you have here. A good mix.

  23. Noam Levenson says:
    (link)

    Great stuff Jay!

Quick question , for a PPR league, pick three to start this week:
Mixon, Abdullah, Ginn, Kupp, Chris Thompson, Jordan Howard, Thielen, James White

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Noam Levenson: Probably Thompson, Howard, and White right now.

  24. TriggaMike says:
    (link)

12 team ppr league where we start 2 flex..

Snead, Thompson, riddick, lee, or Powell (likely no forte)?
Who are my two starts at flex?

    Appreciate it. Thanks Jay!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @TriggaMike: I think it’s Thompson and Powell.

  25. Mantis Tobaggan says:
    (link)

Happy thirsty Thursday jam master jay!!
    .5 PPR league , we start 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 QB, 1 D, 1 kicker , 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE)

    QB Jameis crab leg Winston

Rbs Melvin Gordon, hunt, mcaffery, Abdullah, chris Carson, Smallwood, Chark west.

WRs: Keenan Allen, Alshon Jeffery, martavis Bryant, Parker, hogan, Golladay, snead, Paul Richardson

    TE Vernon Davis

Based on my team would you look to deal Parker if I can straight up for brandin cooks? If I can’t straight up add Smallwood or Abdullah to pair with Parker for Cooks? Would this help my squad?

I tried to acquire tyreek the freak hill by dealing Cooks, then another offer Cooks + Abdullah both were rejected. Which I expected hill is this persons WR3 but technically there 2bd best & most consistent player
Would you dare try my alshon for hill or don’t bother?

    — another WR from another owner I would ideally like to acquire is Diggs can you digg it?? I was thinking Parker straight up , or Parker + Abdullah for Diggs. They haven’t been rejected but would you up it alshon for Diggs? On the flip he has Cooper maybe I could buy low on Cooper instead of aiming for Diggs? Diggs is his WR3 & Cooper his WR1. They are playing opposites like Cooper is the WR3 & Diggs WR1.

if I don’t make a deal for Cooks or Diggs thoughts on acquiring Baldwin? He only wants martavis Bryant or chris hogan. I’m worried about his groin injury but man I love his talent

Basically looking to acquire either one or two of Diggs, cooks, Baldwin. Or stand pat too.

    — RB side of things I do have DJ ultimate sad face on the year, but his stashed on my IR in hopes he’ll be back by week 10, 11 , 12 or 13 even. Week 13 starts thurs nov 30 , & is first week of December. Hold onto Melvin or flip him for either:,McCoy, fournette, or maybe Freeman?

Or add martavis Bryant or alshon + Gordon for either
Gurley, bell, or maybe Freeman? I like Gordon just comes down to ROS?

Lastly lastly QB, would I be crazy to add Trevor siemien to stream him this week & bench Winston? Other stream option I’m debating would be cutler vs saints in London, or Watson vs Titans look what Wilson did last week he had a monster game vs Titans

Thanks & have a good Thursday!!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mantis Tobaggan: Yeah, I love Cooks at that price, I’d do it. Honestly, love all the buy low names you’re targeting here. Diggs, Baldwin, I’d go for em. Since it’s PPR, I don’t mind Gordon for Shady, but I’d hold otherwise.

      Streaming Siemien is okay there.

      • Mantis Tobaggan says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Thanks !! Are worried about the groin injury for Baldwin? Who to ship for Baldwin Bryant or hogan?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Mantis Tobaggan: Kinda, but I think that should be priced in. Yeah, and try to shop your tier 2 guys first, maybe you’ll get a hit. Like Bryant, Hogan, Abudullah, etc.

          • Mantis Toboggan MD says:
            (link)

@Jay: what the F, and he’s spelling it wrong.

            • Mantis Toboggan MD says:
              (link)

@Mantis Toboggan MD: or maybe he’s aware of my existence and is spelling it that way on purpose, if so kewl.

  26. Sam says:
    (link)

Jay, I’m flush with decent WRs-Baldwin, Dez, JJNelson, Matthews, Benjamin, Jones. But my RBs have been lacking-Crowell (Duke on bench) and a couple handcuffs. In a standard scoring, should I trade Baldwin for Ingram?

    • Sam says:
      (link)

@Sam: Kelvin Benjamins and Rishad Matthews ^^

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Sam: Yeah, you need some RB depth, I’d do that to get Ingram.

  27. Noam Levenson says:
    (link)

Would you deal Jordan Howard for Keenan Allen?

  28. Jason says:
    (link)

    Hi Jay,
In a standard league for flex would you start
    Ty Hilton @Sea
    Jacquizz Rodgers vs NYG

    thank you

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jason: Rodgers for now. Close though.

  29. Big League Choo says:
    (link)

10 team standard 3 pt bonus for 100 rec/rush yds

    Start 2rbs, 2 wrs, 1 flex

Tough year at rb, would you do either of these trades?

    My Antonio brown/Snead for dez/Carson

    AB/diggs for dez/mixon

Rbs: Hyde, Howard, cohen, Coleman, foreman, DJ

    WRs: AB, diggs, Parker, Snead

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Big League Choo: I think you’re giving too much on both. I’d hold there.

  30. OldMilwaukeePounders says:
    (link)

    Hi Jay,

I am doing some planning ahead for next week in a PPR format where my top 2 WR’s are both on a bye. Who do you like as a stash for next week out of this group:

    Richardson @LAR
    Fuller vs KC
    Benjamin @NYG
    Kearse @ CLE
    Hurns @ PIT
    Geronimo @ DAL

I would guess that Fuller has the biggest “upside” but he may not be the safest choice…

    Thanks, Homie!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@OldMilwaukeePounders: Yeah, I like Fuller, but as a safe stash, I would rather have Kearse at CLE.

      • OldMilwaukeePounders says:
        (link)

@Jay: Thanks, Jay. I’m leaning towards the safer points myself right now…

One more question; Is it time to start considering Darwaka over Perkins in NYG backfield? Perkins looks useless AF. I lost DJ week one and have been scrambling to rebuild my RB staff. Have Carson, Smallwood, Prosise, Perkins, Forte, & DJ stashed. Any advice there? It seems like making a preemptive move would put me ahead of the waiver wire scramble if it happens.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

Yes, never liked Perkins. He seems to be the worst running back in the NFL sometimes…

  31. Steve says:
    (link)

Would you trade C. Carson for D. Adams?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve: No, I love Carson comparatively, especially in today’s RB environment.

  32. Bryce Krispie Treats says:
    (link)

Taking needs out of the question, which side would you take? Jordy or Gurley?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Bryce Krispie Treats: Gurley, but only because the RB position is scary this season, more than the last few.

  33. Oliver says:
    (link)

What do you think about trading my Davante Adams for his Doug Martin?

We start 2 WR and 1 FLEX. I have Julio Jones, AJ Green, and Steffon Diggs to fill those spots every week. I also have Moncrief just waiting for Luck to return.

At RB, on the other hand, I have Kareem Hunt (yay), but then CJ Anderson, Isaiah Crowell, Bilal Powell. In other words, garbage. Haha

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Oliver: I like it.

  34. Jake says:
    (link)

What do you tgink about this trade
Dez Bryant, Ingram and Rudolph for Chris Hogan, Chris Carson and Zach Ertz ?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

Wow, it’s really close. I think Dez side slightly.

  35. BAC says:
    (link)

    Full point PPR.

Trade Gillisee for Carson or Mixon? Can keep two rounds ahead of draft position for next year. Gillisee is great just touchdown heavy and hoping i can get someone to bit before these two guys are workhorses.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @BAC: I’d want Carson.

  36. The Manning-Face God says:
    (link)

You think Jay Ajayi bounces back?

I was offered Jay Ajayi and Witten for Dez and Doug Martin. 14 team PPR

    Roster

    QB: Rivers, E. Manning
RB: CJ Anderson, T. Coleman, D. Martin*, D. Woodhead*, Alex Collins.
WR: OBJ, Keenan Allen, Dez, Ginn
    TE:Jesse James, Ryan Griffin

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

I do, and I think while that’s a fair deal, I’d want your combo of Dez and Martin.

      • The Manning-Face God says:
        (link)

        @Jay:
Cool, thanks. The initial offer was Keenan Allen instead of Dez, but I said no to that. I’m riding that Keenan Allen hype train until it crashes.

  37. Dimah says:
    (link)

    Hi Jay,

Thanks for the help last week won by a small fraction (old man Fitz came through… :) so quick question about a possible drop/pickup:

Drop T. West and pick up J. Charles (16 tem .5 PPR)? Currently using West as RB3 behind Murray & Henry so I need someone with some touches for Flex and possible future appeal…

    thanks!

    Diamah

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dimah: I’m okay with it sure, but I still like West a bit more long term.

  38. Dimah says:
    (link)

Thanks for reply on that. Now a quick review of upcoming line-ups for week 4 (both 12 team standard):

    team 1:
    QB: Rivers
    WR1: Tate
    WR2: Fitz
    RB 1: J. Allen
    RB2: Crowell
    TE: Walker
    Flex (W/R/T): Garcon
BN: White, Proyor, Foreman, Kamara, Brieda, Oliver, Luck, DJ (IR)
Note how you spot a former DJ owner, hint they have no RB’s :-P

    team 2:
    QB: Ryan
    WR1: Jordy Nelson
    WR2: R. Matthews
    RB 1: Murray
    RB2: Coleman
    TE: Walker
    Flex (W/R/T): J. Allen
BN: Proyor, J. Matthews, C. Thompson, Funchess, Shepard, Drake, Wentz

thanks and let me know if any adjustments as of now…?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dimah: I don’t really want to bench Pryor on the first team, but I don’t think you have a choice. I think you gotta run with those guys. On the second, I might want to do Thompson over Buck, but it’s close. I think double check with me Sunday, but I’m okay with what you’re rolling with.

      • Dimah says:
        (link)

        @Jay:
Yeah but with Pryor at this point I’m ready to roll with Richard Pryor instead of Tyrell Pryor if you know what I mean :)

thanks again and Kelley might be back and the coach did say they will limit Thompson’s snap counts but considering the damage he did, they may roll with him. Allen is still listed as RB2 but it looks like an even timeshare for now until one of the 3 are out of the doghouse.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Dimah: agreed, hesitant to change your lineup because of it.

Would you trade away McCoy for Zeke in a 10 team ppr?
My RBs are Mixon, McCoy and McCaffery
My WRs are Julio, Cooks, and Dez

    Thanks

somebody dropped Alfred Morris in a 12 tm standard league…..Should I drop Darkwa and bid on Morris? I was already considering dumping Darkwa for Alex Collins since I need a lottery ticket, but is Morris gonna be the guy if Elliot is suspended?

    thanks

@Jay: Is Aaron Jones now a better pick up than Morris or Collins? I have Breida and kind of want to hang on to him since Hyde is so brittle….but I really need to win now since I don’t have DJ any longer….any advice? Breida and Darkwa are my current bench RBs (other than DJ). I have Cook and Gore starting…

Advice for drops/pick ups this week knowing I need to win now to give myself a chance to win when DJ comes back?

        thanks

@The Fantasy Dick: Yeah, I think so. That RB situation is in total flux. And I’d hang onto Breida.

@Jay: On a side note….I have Newton/Wentz….should I drop Newton for Kizer as a lottery ticket back up? Or is newton worth hanging onto?

        thanks

@The Fantasy Dick: Naw, I’d hold and see how he heals. He might not be right, but he has to get better than this.

Hey Jay 12 man ppr Kelvin Benjamin just got dropped. Think it was a mistake should I drop any of these guys for him or hold?
    Thielen, Crowder or Sammy Watkins.

      @Clos: Hold there.

Would you pick up Corey Davis as a stash over B. Powell or Steling Sheppard in a PPR league?

@Ron Weasley: Eh, not over Powell. Maybe over Sterling, but I’m okay holding there.

Ajayi above Cook in PPR surprises me. I’m a huge Miami fan, and I’d love to start Ajayi (yes, I’m stacked) but in PPR, Cook seems superior overall, and the Vikings O line looks better than Miami’s, leading to less boom/bust than with Ajayi.

    Thoughts?

@Gregg: It’s a fair argument, I can’t counter it too well, only to say that this is more of a gut call.
