I know we have football starting pretty early tomorrow, and since we’ll all either be cooking, eating, and napping (or all of them at once, like me!), here are your Thanksgiving Day rankings a bit earlier than usual… (Happy Holidays everyone!)

Special Note: I just wanted to mention that our very own Tehol Beddict has been absolutely incredible the past month with his calls. A fourth place finish in Week 10 was followed up by a number one overall finish in Week 11. Be sure to check out his rankings here! And as always, if you need the hard data (hey baby) and projections, be sure to check out Rudy’s Pigskinator!

Select the “Flex” tab if you need a more complete picture to decide your starts and sits. Use the “OP” tab for 2QB Leagues. And you can access our Half PPR and PPR rankings using the drop down box in the top left of our rankings when you select the RB, WR, TE, or Flex positions. Any and all questions will be answered below…

  1. MiggY CaT says:
    (link)

Getting hit at WR this week. Looks like Diggs is out and Moncrief with a hammy and a back up is no good.

Will have to roll out Landry, Pryor and ????

    .5 PPR

    Could put out:
    Boyd vs Balt
    Theilen vs Det
Or dare I say Sammy Wat vs Jax

Pick one bro, this game deciedes my division this week.

    • MiggY CaT says:
      (link)

      @MiggY CaT:

Also would you jump the Steelers over the Bills D with Tolzien in for Luck? I see a lot of sacks and a few ints

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MiggY CaT: I would say Theilen right now, but I’m nervous.

      • MiggY CaT says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

        You and me both!

So hard to trust the Minny offense.

The guy I’m playing dropped Watkins who was his 2nd rounder in our keeper league…the irony of having him bite him in the you know what is appealing….

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

Haha, I hear you. I think if the reports are good, I think you have to consider it on Watkins.

  2. Dave says:
    (link)

If Diggs is out (I see you have him ranked high) do you have Thielen above any of TY Hilton, Sanders, Pryor, or Michael Thomas (PPR) or keep those 4 in?

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dave: I’d still probably keep those four in. I’m watching the situation and will update when I feel like I have a grasp on the situation. I think Thielen will go up, but not sure he breaks that ceiling.

  3. R says:
    (link)

Hey Jay, Who do you like PPR ROS R. Kelley or Dougie Martin???? Thanks Dude….

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      Martin, and no worries!

  4. Jerry says:
    (link)

Hey, Jay. Thielen or Devante Parker this week? Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jerry: I’m thinking Parking, but with the Diggs news, Thielen is getting closer. I’m going to update my rankings once again tomorrow morning, and then on Saturday, I would check those out. I could see them ending really close.

  5. Jimbo says:
    (link)

    ROS.. Buffalo or Arizona Def?

Or Buffalo this week and stream ROS?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jimbo: I’d go with Buff and then stream.

  6. Mike in Busan says:
    (link)

    Jay,
Despite the fact that I’m the overall points leader in one of my leagues, I am 6-5 and need to win out in order to make the playoffs.
I’ve been riding the Seattle D all year, but I picked up the Titans this week, and the Steelers D is available. I have few question marks other than which D to start (oh, and I’m leaning Jordan Howard over Davontae Booker due to the sheer volume the Chi RBs are gonna get)
    Thoughts on these two positions?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mike in Busan: I’m fine with Howard, both are a risk, but I like what I’ve seen out of Howard a little more. I’d say with the defense, it’s okay to get cute here. For DST, I think Seahawks are a coinflip, so I wouldn’t worry too much about starting them against TB.

      • Mike in Busan says:
        (link)

@Jay: Yeah, I guess with my RB2 this week, I’m looking for highest floor. I’m rocking David Johnson with my RB1 and Antonio Brown is my WR1. Between those two, Olsen and Cousins, I’m expecting the goodness. Everyone else just needs to chip in here and there.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Mike in Busan: it’s a good lineup to go with, for sure.

          • Mike in Busan says:
            (link)

@Jay: Wow, a Cousins and Brown Thanksgiving. Feeling groovy…

  7. IrishGuy says:
    (link)

Wow, you don’t like Palmer vs ATL in a shoot out? I dropped Tyrod for Palmer because I want no part of Rivers @HOU. Hope I don’t get burned

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@IrishGuy: I think they’re close enough, so don’t worry. I think it’s more I like a few others than I hate Palmer this week.

  8. IrishGuy says:
    (link)

Also thoughts on Steelers now with Luck out?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@IrishGuy: Yeah, I’ll be upgrading them soon. Not sure where though. Double check the rankings tomorrow, but I think they’re the way to go here.

  9. MAGA says:
    (link)

    who would you start?

I need 3 players out of: Dez Bryant, Pierre Garcon, Devonta Freeman, Rob Kelley, Matt forte… 1 has to be a WR

    Pittsburg D or Tennessee D?

    thanks.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MAGA: I think Garcon and Kelley are the odd ones out.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MAGA: Forgot the second part, I think Titans D still.

  10. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

rogers/lafell/meredith over marv jones ROS PPR? specifically for a team that’s definitely making the playoffs.

      • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
        (link)

@Jay: hilton/cobb/hopkins/t.williams (SD) for 3 spots ahead of this roster spot. i’m guessing this might change if one of those CIN guys goes apeshit this week (of course if that happens my last waiver (reset every week) wouldn’t get that guy anymore)

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: Yeah, I like those four there. Not one stand out guy, but pretty solid choices to draw from.

  11. Brian says:
    (link)

In this league where David Johnson and Sanders was just traded for Gordon and Jordy. In my mind Sanders is basically droppable so it seems sort of lopsided since Johnson isnt much better than Gordon. This is like the 20th trade in this league it’s a little rediculous I don’t mind trades but thus is way to many in my opinion hell why not play DFF. Anyway I’m a little pissed off because 2 trades through the year were proposed to me that I accepted were vetoed. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this pirtocular trade. TY

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian: Oh, I thought it was fair if it was Melvin, but the way you’re talking, it looks like it’s Josh Gordon? That makes zero sense… I’d find a new league honestly.

      • Mobin Can't Hack It says:
        (link)

@Jay: it is melvin, that had to be what’s meant by “johnson isn’t much better than gordon”

  12. Josh says:
    (link)

Who do you like better between Bmarsh and Tyrell Williams ROS .5 ppr?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Josh: Hmm, this week? Marshall, but they’re getting closer.

  13. Bing says:
    (link)

Making a playoff push in my .5 PPR league and am deciding between Tate and L.Murray in my flex. Also have Beasley as a third option.

And you say you hate Palmer this week? Should I start Winston over him or grab Tyrod Taylor off waivers?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Bing: No no, haha, I don’t hate Palmer, there are just a few other guys I like a little more. Because of the PPR, I think you go Tate here. Close one though.

  14. Cram It says:
    (link)

Last time Detroit played Minny, I didn’t start my Stafford/Tate combo. It was the right move until an overtime TD hookup. I hate both of them again this week. Stafford isn’t throwing TD’s, Tate has TWO double digit point games all year and that Minn defense is still good. The ONLY reason I’m starting them is because I can watch it today. But they do not have my endorsement and I think they both should be ranked last. Yes last! ~Rant over

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Cram It: haha, i can only agree with you. Good luck today!

    • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
      (link)

@Cram It: wow, not owning tate i didn’t know that, but owning marv jones in a few spots i find it surprising. probably shouldn’t find it that less surprising since i do have stafford as either half the time starter (cousins) or backup (brees)

  15. Funk says:
    (link)

    Qb: Russell Wilson
    Rb: Spencer Ware
    Rb: Frank Gore
    Wr: Julio Jones
    Wr: Doug Baldwin
    Wr: Devante Adams
    Te: Jordan Reed
    Flex: Robert Kelley

I’m nervous about starting Kelley, Reed, and Gore all today cause offense Thursdays look sluggish in the short week and I’ll be limited for options rest of week. Their matchups aren’t bad however. On my bench I have Brandon Marshall, Dion Lewis, Travis Benjamin, Sammy Watkins

My opponent will be starting Crowder and maybe one of Marvin Jones/ Golden Tate.

    • Funk says:
      (link)

@Funk: So I guess really my question is would this be my most effective lineup? Adams and Marshall are probably the least trustworthy to me but opponent is starting Aaron Rodgers so not sure if that makes Adams a better play situationally

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Funk: I think so. Play the matchups I think.

  16. Chicken Dinner says:
    (link)

    Better stash, Abdullah or Sims?

    PPR

  17. Brian says:
    (link)

Theilen or Snead I feel like it should be Theilen since lots of mouths to feed in NO ? Or Tyler Boyd is an option . Ty ty

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Brian: Snead I think. Np!

  18. Josh-NYC says:
    (link)

    Hey!

    Happy thanksgiving !

Who do you like the most at .5 PPR flex?

    Fiedorwicz
    Eli Rogers
Cordarelle Patterson (stefon diggs not playing)

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Josh-NYC: Rogers, and you too!

  19. The imp says:
    (link)

Hold Meredith as second bench WR or handcuff with Andre in PPR? I’m leaning to handcuff if Ellington would have a shot to be solid RB2 as a starter.

    Happy Holiday!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@The imp: Yeah, handcuffing is totally fine right now.

  20. Scott says:
    (link)

I’m thankful for Matt Asiata, TD machine!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Scott: Never fight a ground war with Asiata.

  21. RonnieMatt says:
    (link)

Im in a PPR league and we are in our final 2 weeks. Somehow i’m fighting for last place with the 4th most points scored in the league. Ive got laveon and booker in RB slots, Edelman and Kelvin benjamin in WR. Would you go lamar miller instead of crowder? Crodwer has been my odd man out all year and has been killing me on my bench and lamar has been high flow low ceiling as of now. Maybe switch crowder with Benjamin?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@RonnieMatt: I think I might go Crowder and Miller there actually, like you hinted at. Cam’s in a funk right now.

  22. R Doumit says:
    (link)

Standard points league, Crowder or Hilton?

  23. Sinkhole Demayo says:
    (link)

seriously COOTER (said like jerry saying “newman!”), ebron gets it nasty like that. really. i didn’t see that game but dude better have gotten hurt or needed blocking all damn game or something. MIN 20th vs TE’s. i did at least go with rudolph over you jaywrong (from FP’s top 40 in standard TE’s rankings had rudolph like ONE higher, and even then i wanted to flex (2 flexes) ebron, but thank god didn’t). in another PPR played ebron over ertz (don’t need to win as much there though, 10-1, but garcon + ebron doesn’t likely make for a win either)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Sinkhole Demayo: Jim Bob Cooter sounds like a stripper joint owner. And well choiced there, not sure what happened to Ebron, but it was not cool.

  24. Btdrnks says:
    (link)

    Happy Thankgsgiving All!

I have been running out Winston all year as my QB and Rivers is now sitting on my FA list as well as Kaepernick. Based on my roster below, are either worth adding at the expense of losing someone below?

    QB – Winston
    RB – D Johnson, L Miller, J Howard, M Ingram, D Lewis, K Dixon
    WR – J Matthews, M Crabtree, J Crowder, T Williams, T Boyd
    TE – T Eifert

I am intrigued by the light schedule streaming that a Winston/Rivers duo may offer.

    Any thoughts?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Btdrnks: Happy thanksgiving! I’d add Rivers over hmm. Probably Boyd there.

  25. Cartman says:
    (link)

    Ahoy captain jay!

Hope you had a relaxing & joyous thanksgiving day!

.5 ppr league im not having a good feeling about this week. How do you like my lineup vs my opponent

    My team:

QB: matt Ryan (home vs cards)

    RB1: David Johnson (@ ATL)
    RB2: Melvin Gordon (@ Houston)

WR1: Dez went last night & got me 9.5 points
    WR2: Doug Baldwin (@ TB)
    WR3: Emmanuel sanders (vs Chiefs)

TE: Witten yesterday & gave me only 4.5 points

    Flex: Sterling Shepard at Cleveland

    D/ST: Dolphins D (vs niners)

    Kicker: Crosby

Bench: Hopkins , moncrief, Smallwood, Jeremy hill, CJ Fiedorowicz.

    —————————————–

    My opponents roster:

    QB: Newton

    RB1: Booker
    RB2: Duke Johnson

    WR1: John brown (@ ATL)
    WR2: Tavon Austin (@ saints)
WR3: boldin played yesterday & got him 15.5 pts

TE: he had Vernon Davis got him 8.5 pts

    Flex: Greg Olsen (at Oakland)

D/ST: went yesterday and was Vikings with 9 pts

    Kicker: gostkowski (@ jets)

For my team roll with Dolphins D or drop for either Pats D (who are at Jets) or Titans D at Chicago

    Thanks again!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Cartman: Yo! I think I’d want the Dolphins there. I actually think your lineup is better. Cam’s been struggling, and their running backs are pretty feast or famine. I’d be cautiously optimistic.

      • Cartman says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Thanks jay! Keep my flex as is with Shepard or move either Hopkins, or Smallwood there? I’m torn between Shepard vs browns or Smallwood vs packers D. Packers d doesn’t look good, plus it’s a home game too for the Eagles

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Cartman: Yeah, makes some sense. I’m not quite sure yet. Still working on rankings. Kinda leaning Shepard right now.

  26. Steve Stevenson says:
    (link)

In an early hole, need to play for ceiling with my DST: Ten @Chi, Sea @TB or Bal vCin?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: I’d say Seattle then. Better personnel than matchup I think is the way to go.

  27. Steve says:
    (link)

Could you recommend a RB2 and flex from Booker, DMartin, Pryor, DLewis? TWest available on waivers, too.

    Thanks! Enjoyed your rankings.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve: Probably Booke rand DMartin and Pryor, but double check Saturday when I update the rankings.

      And thanks!

      • Steve says:
        (link)

@Jay: Thanks Jay. I actually can only play two. Leaning Booker and Pryor. Do you agree?

I’ll check your updated rankings. Thanks!

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Steve: Yeah, I like that mix. And no worries!

  28. Old Dirty says:
    (link)

I need to start two rbs between ware, freeman, and Rawls. Who would you start? Rankings seem very close

    Thanks !

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Old Dirty: Hey Dirty, I’d go Ware and Freeman right now for best combo, but I’m interested to see where Rawls ends up when I update my rankings. I’m encouraged from what I’ve seen so far, but I’ll have to figure out how much Prosise takes away from him.

  29. kenly0 says:
    (link)

    Half PPR

    M. Bennett or Ertz?

Need a win real bad this week

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@kenly0: Bennett for now I think. Double check tomorrow morning though. I’m still kinda running through what to expect from Ertz in my head.

      • kenly0 says:
        (link)

@Jay: Thanks man. I’M really torn on this one.

  30. John says:
    (link)

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Which kicker would you rather have ROS? Matt Bryant or Josh Lambo? I think Bryant is generally more productive than Lambo, but Lambo’s schedule seems quite a bit easier/better. I ask because I have Lambo but someone in my league just dropped Bryant. Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@John: Thanks man, I did, hope you did as well! Hmm, I think maybe Bryant because of the dome aspect, but they are pretty close.

  31. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

from above, you said if bench meredith beats out all of boyd/lafell/marv jones ROS. what about watkins? PPR. already have these for max 3 spots weekly: hopkins/cobb/hilton/t-will (SD)

    • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
      (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: also john brown, eli rogers available.

      • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
        (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: grabbed watkins over marv jones, this list seems close to jones, but gotta think by week 14 (or earlier even) when playoffs start watkins’ upside is pretty damn high, that and FP ROS PPR rankings (using only the ones not ranked below 40th, and ONLY recently ranked, even if that means grabbing names who don’t have values from i guess not putting rankings in often enough to count towards it); thinking being somebody else in league notices he’s out there in next 6 or so hours.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: I like Watkins the most. I mean, at this point, his risk is based on injury, but we’re at the end of the season anyways, so the timing mitigates his risk. I think he could edge Cobb on your group of four there.
