Just in case you missed it (aka, didn’t scroll down a few inches… that’s what she said), I delved into my rankings in a new series called “Rankings Revisited“. There, you can find an expansion of how well or how bad my weekly numbers did, and that’ll be the place to berate or praise my prowess. I would say that this has been a rough start, but if there wasn’t a history of success, and the fact that (and I checked to make sure) last season, my first two weeks were none-too-spectacular, I’m not worried. Last year, I ranked 54th in the first week and 85th the second week. The two weeks after that? 18th and 12th, respectively. What are the reasons for such a slow opening? I can’t answer that for sure, but I can say that if you look at last season’s writers in the top-10 for accuracy, most of them finished all over the map. I know it’s crude, but I think it’s because no one knows anything until they actually see real football. It’s crude as I said, it’s also easy. I don’t want to blame it on that, buuuuut, it does seem like the logical explanation. You know how we’ll know for sure? You guessed it… when the results for our Week 3 rankings come in. Behold, they are here, and hopefully, they are good. And speaking of good, did you know we have weekly projections? Rudy’s “Pigskinator” finished fourth overall in accuracy last week, and honestly, if you’re looking to find an edge (I’m looking at you people that are in high-stake leagues), I’m pretty sure you should check out our tools

Select the “Flex” tab if you need a more complete picture to decide your starts and sits. Use the “OP” tab for 2QB Leagues. And you can access our Half PPR and PPR rankings using the drop down box in the top left of our rankings when you select the RB, WR, TE, or Flex positions. Any and all questions will be answered below…

    16 team standard league.
Would you drop wheaton for barnidge?
I’m a bit concerned with fleener and i think i will never put wheaton in my lineup with landry, nelson, eli rogers, michael thomas
    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Ciwa: Yeah, I’m okay with that, you have Thomas, which is basically Wheaton right now.

  2. Mike says:
    (link)

In the famous words of Harley Quinn, “Hey Mr. Jay,”

I don’t trust Doug Baldwin. Who would you start over him, Travis Benjamin or diggs?

I’ve also got him in another where I’m looking at starting either sharpe or fuller over Baldwin. Who would would prefer moving forward?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mike: Well, that makes both of us. I’d say Diggs… but they are going against the Panthers. I think Benjy is the safe play here. Probably Fuller on the second one, but Baldwin is in the same area.

  3. Zandy says:
    (link)

If Charles sits, where does ware move up to?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: Good question… probably 3-5 spots up.

  4. Brian says:
    (link)

Is Romo worth picking up and holding I currently use Flaco because I missed out at QB and everyone is hording them. I could find the room to add but was wondering your thoughts on him upon his return ?

I would also like to know if Rawls plays would that change your ranking on C Mike ?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian: If there isn’t anything else out there, sure, it’s worth a shot. And yes, the CMike stuff will change as the week of news continues. I really hate that situation right now.

  5. PaulZone says:
    (link)

Why do you hate Davante Parker so much?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@PaulZone: Not sure if it’s hate, I just love Landry here.

  6. Brian says:
    (link)

One last question I currently have Langford and Howard and am hoping this situation resolves itself soon as I hate carrying to backs from the same crappy team what is your thoughts on this situation ? I was a little surprised that the Cowboys D weren’t ranked higher this week they should have a field day with this O line.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian: I think Langford is the safe play, Howard is intriguing, but yeah, tough to read going forward. And on the Cowboys, I rewatched the game against Washington… I wasn’t crazy about what I saw.

  7. Eli Man Penguin Boy says:
    (link)

get this in the newest spot.

not knowing in time abdullah’s news i didn’t drop him or ajayi last night for booker/artis-payne, now those two are gone. in start 2 with 1 flex PPR 12 team i have l.murray/cj anderson/ajayi/d.lewis (dropped abdullah for him, no IR slot)/yeldon/forsett. drop anybody for any of: vereen/c.thompson/dixon/mccluster? have strong WR that will often play flex, with only 2 starting WR and landry/j.matthews/crabtree/aj green/sanu

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Eli Man Penguin Boy: I think McCluster is worth a shot, I’m sorta intrigued about how Rivers can use him. I think Forsett or Abdullah are okay drops there.

      • Eli Man Penguin Boy says:
        (link)

@Jay: ok, so drop forsett for mccluster. in a different 20 team dynasty should i drop ASJ for h.henry?

  8. Adam says:
    (link)

Would u start Miami def over Panthers def?

    • And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers! says:
      (link)

      @Adam: CAR 3rd, MIA 7th

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Adam: No, I know it’s the Browns, but I think the Panthers have the chance to create a lot of pressure, something Bradford is weak against.

  9. Bucky says:
    (link)

Hey guys! Who should I start for my Flex? Will Fuller, Cole Beasley, or Matt Asiata. I am leaning towards Fuller…

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Bucky: I’m leaning towards Fuller too!

  10. Latenighttip says:
    (link)

Hey trying to move Crowell as I can’t get myself to drink the kool aid.

Would you deal Crowell, Forsett, and c-mike for tevin Coleman and doug Martin?

I own freeman without the Coleman handcuff, and the guy I’m trading with has Rawls without Michael..

I could slim the trade down to just:
    1) Forsett and c-mike for coleman or
    2) Forsett and Crowell for doug Martin..

    What have you?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Latenighttip: Yeah, I think that’s a fair trade, and benefits you slightly.

  11. Latenighttip says:
    (link)

    Also,

Would you start patriots d/at tonight or go with a streamer like the steelers (vs philly)

I’m sketched out by the pats 3rd string qb leading the show but I kind of want to hold onto the pats D for next week (vs buffalo) and the week after (vs Cleveland)

I can always just pick them back up at the risk of not getting them..

    Thabks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Latenighttip: I always stream defenses, so yeah, I think Steelers works this week.

  12. John says:
    (link)

Need a TE should I do Larry Fitz and Hurns for Allen Robinson and delanie walker

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@John: Yeah, that’s a fair trade, and I think ARob should be back to normal soon.

  13. PNW says:
    (link)

I need to pick one from the following… And they are all right next to each other in your rankings..

    Crowell
    Diggs
    C-mike for my flex..

I could also consider benching freeman and start 2 from above as I’m pretty sketched out by the Falcons backfield right now and just want guranteed Poona from my guys..

If looking for upside (most likely to go for 17pts plus in standard league) which of the 3 would you pick?

If looking for most likely to gurantee 8-11 pts who would you go?

    Thanks.
    If looking for

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@PNW: I want to go Diggs, but I think the Panthers might complicate things. Diggs for ceiling, Crowell for safety.

  14. Blipboop says:
    (link)

Hey would you bother picking up rivers for his start against Indy or just roll with Derek Carr vs Titans. I like rivers matchup a little better obviously just don’t know if it’s a slam dunk difference and I don’t want to drop a guy like Dwayne Washington or Forsett to do the move. What do you think?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Blipboop: I think Carr is fine, I don’t think it’s a huge difference.

  15. G-man says:
    (link)

Would you trade Ryan Mathews for Doug Martin right now? My other RBs are Ingram, McCoy, Crowell, Mathews, and Blount

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@G-man: Based on your roster, yeah, I think it’s a good deal.

  16. EA says:
    (link)

Who should I start in my flex spot this weekend…

    J. Charles (limited role, i’m assuming)
    Enunwa
    Mike Thomas (saints)

Charles is projected to get 8 but I still feel like he’s a safer bet? Thoughts?

    • EA says:
      (link)

@EA: Also, drop Draughn for Drake?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@EA: Yeah, tough decision with Charles here. The inclination is Thomas because of the uncertainty, but I do have Charles ranked higher at the moment. I think we’ll see as we get closer to KC’s game on reports and such.

      • EA says:
        (link)

@Jay: Great. I’ll keep an eye on it. What would you say to the draughn/drake question? or is it really even much of a difference? I just noticed the dramatic pickup of drake while draughn sits at 6%

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@EA: I would say that’s okay… honestly, neither is doing much for me at the moment.

  17. Nate says:
    (link)

Who would you flex in PPR between Tyrell Williams, Quincy Enunwa, Fozzy Whitaker and Jamison Crowder?

I’m leaning toward Williams because I’m thinking he’s gonna be the WR1 in San Diego with Allen and Woodhead both out, but Enunwa’s kind of got the same thing going on and it’s hard to ignore the target volume that he and Crowder have gotten in the first two games.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nate: Yeah, my rankings say slightly on Whitaker, but I personally like Williams here for the ceiling.

  18. Jared says:
    (link)

In a standard 12- team league, my team was dealt some serious blows yesterday. I lost Peterson, Moncrief, and Coleman but have yet to drop any of them. I’m waiting for Peterson to be put on IR and still deciding the other two. I think Moncrief is a hold but probably not Coleman. Here is the rest of my team:

    QB – Rivers
RBs – CJA, Blount, Ware, CMike, DeAndre Washington, and Dwayne Washington
WRs- Dez, Marvin Jones, Mike Wallace
    TE – Olsen

The best pickups are for RB (CJ2K, James White, Starks, Devontae Booker) and WR (Cruz, Lafell, Pryor) ie pretty awful.

Would you still hold Moncrief and drop Coleman for a WR then AP for a RB? Perhaps my handcuff Booker even?

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jared: Hold on Moncrief for now, and I think Coleman for Cruz is fine. Booker is okay for AP. I don’t exactly trust Starks or White.

  19. ryanoger says:
    (link)

    .5 ppr keeper

Would you rather have Kenneth Dixon or CAP?

    thanks jay

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@ryanoger: CAP the next two weeks, Dixon ROS if that makes sense.

      • ryanoger says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

        yup, thanks man

        • ryanoger says:
          (link)

          .5 ppr keeper league

          @ryanoger:

Who you taking out of this bunch if my RB depth is pretty solid:

          Dexter McCluster, CAP, Dixon?

          • Jay

            Jay says:
            (link)

@ryanoger: McCluster, I’m really interested to see him with Rivers.

  20. Brian says:
    (link)

Would you drop James White for Mc Cluster or CAP in ppr league. White hasnt been a big part of this offense and I could see Mc Cluster becoming a big part of San Diego O . I could also stash Dion Lewis in his spot

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian: Yeah, I have this odd feeling that McCluster could be a sneak pickup here.

  21. Dave says:
    (link)

Was just offered Gurley and Amari Cooper for Lamar Miller and Jordan Matthews. My other rbs are Melvin Gordon, Jamaal Charles, Christine Michael, Jerick Mckinnon. My receivers are Dez, Tyrell Williams, Golden Tate, Donte Moncrief, Corey Coleman.

I’m tempted but I just feel like this is a player swap and doesn’t really improve my team.

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dave: Yeah, it’s somewhat lateral, but I think your side has a higher ceiling, so I’d do it just for that.

    • Dave says:
      (link)

      @Dave:

forgot to mention its .5 ppr

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Dave: I like it just the same. I think Cooper and Miller get slight uptick in value, but it evens out.

  22. HotGuyCentral says:

    12 team PPR

    David Johnson
    Lamar Miller
    Matt Forte

Pick 2 of 3. I’d hate to sit any one of these guys but I must.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@HotGuyCentral: Man… that’s hard. I think Forte is the odd man out.

  23. King Kong bundy says:
    (link)

    Howdy man! .5 ppr league.

I added Dwayne Washington yesterday when I heard about ameer Abdullah. Now with the news that Jordan Howard may over take Langford for the starting job, would you drop Washington for Howard or hold?

What are your thoughts on Ivory? I’ve been stashing him on my bench or drop him for either howard(if I keep Washington), sproles, Terrence west, mccluster (I own Melvin Gordon & figured mccluster may get passed his way), or all Morris?

    Thanks man!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@King Kong bundy: Yo! I’d hold for now. I’m still mulling the Langford situation, but I’m not convinced of it yet. If you’ve held on Ivroy this long, I don’t see another week hurting you. Yeldon hasn’t exactly run away with it.

      • King Kong bundy says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Thanks man! That’s what I’m thinking too yeldon sure has had opportunities w/ Ivory out but hasn’t capitalized on them.

What about Dwayne Washington? Good speculative add? Or is Howard a better speculative add?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@King Kong bundy: I think Washington is better there. And any time!

  24. Adam says:
    (link)

    Thoughts on Jordan Howard?
    Sitting on waivers…Langford terrible..
Wondering if I should pick him up
Would have to drop Tyrell williams(SD)
    Standard league

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Adam: I’d want to hold on Williams.

  25. Toby says:
    (link)

Thanks for help last week. 3 questions:

If Jamal Charles doesn’t suit up, would you rank Ware higher? And would you start Ware over Christine Michael at FLEX?

Would you rather pick up Howard or Artis Payne at RB?

And why are you so low on Pryor, Sr.? With Coleman going down, the Browns are going to have to throw the ball to someone, right?

    Thanks again

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Toby: Yes and probably. Hmm, CAP. I wasn’t impressed with Howard in the preseason. Yeah, I might reevaluate that, but man, hard to see what the Browns are going to do here besides explode.

  26. William Hung says:
    (link)

Coleman is out 4-6 weeks – who should I swap him out for – Algohor, Crowder, Stills, Boyd, or Kenneth Dixon? I hear Dixon is coming back W4

My current WRs are: A-Rob, AJ Green, Cobb, Victor Cruz, and Torrey Smith

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: You have the depth, so I’d go pure upside. Probably Crowder or Algohor. Leaning Crowder.

  27. vinodole says:
    (link)

Offered Ryan Matthews, Jeremy Hill and Josh Gordon for Carlos Hyde and Devante Parker. I could use RB depth and I’m good at WR, so it fits. But do you like it in a vacuum, talent-wise?

Actually, here’s my team. Start 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 FLEX:

WR: Dez, Fitz, DT, Sharpe, Parker
RB: Ingram, Jennings, Hyde, Ajayi, Morris

Thoughts? Would drop Morris or Ajayi…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@vinodole: Yeah, I like this deal for you. Gordon might not have the same hype, but I think he’ll offer you what Parker does.

      • vinodole says:
        (link)

@Jay: Thanks Jay. Turns out the other owner proposed this same package of three players around the league and someone else accepted before I got a chance to! Too bad, I could have used that RB depth…

In case you’re curious, the other owner gave up Tevin Coleman and Sterling Shepard…

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@vinodole: Hunh, that’s unfortunate, but I could see that it was close.

  28. sgamby says:
    (link)

PPR league, I have Stewart and Martin. Need to replace with two of these this week. Crowell, McKinnon, C Michael. Who should I start? Or should I trade for Blount? I have WR to give.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@sgamby: Probably Crowell and Michael at this moment. I’d hold off on Blount, nothing that your RBs can’t do that he can.

  29. omar says:
    (link)

12 team 1pt PPR. Thoughts on this potential trade proposal:

    Give:
    Gronk
    Forte
    Snead
    Tyrell Williams

    Get:
    Antonio Brown
    Eddie Lacy

Eifert on the WW – I would stream TE until his return. My main concern would be that my RB situation could take a hit. Lacy would slot as the RB1, others are Christine Michael, Duke Johnson, and would pick up Kenneth Dixon to stash. Almost feel like employing an in-season zero RB philosophy, since so many are going down anyway. I realize the injuries are increasing positional scarcity at RB, but at some point, is anyone going to be worth owning. Would almost rather the less risky option of getting AB’s production ROS, than banking on Forte staying healthy. Plus I have Big Ben as my QB, if that means anything.
    Other WR’s are:
    A-Rob
    Edelman
    Devante Parker
    Michael Thomas
    Chris Hogan

Am I overthinking this? Too much to give up?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@omar: You’re not overthinking, and I like the deal on the merits, but you’re giving up a lot of upside. That being said, you have enough WRs to make this work, especially getting back AB, so I’m okay with it.

  30. Dave says:
    (link)

No love for Burton on the Eagles with Ertz still hurting? I don’t see him ranked, where would you have him if Ertz is out again in a PPR?

    Thanks Jay!

  31. Zandy says:

as an owner of charles and ware — should i be looking to trade them before we see how bad a committee might be? Who are the 3-4 RB’s you think are reasonable to ask/target?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: I think rounds 2 and 3 are possible, but you have to wait to show at least one of them can work, or else the other owner will just see it as a hassle.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@Jay: Who are rounds 2 and 3? CJ, LeSean?

  32. Rondo says:
    (link)

Sooooo it is safe to drop AP at this point in a non-keeper?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Rondo: It’s hard for me to… but I don’t have a choice. I mean, four months best case… let’s give him three months, that’s like, at the end of most playoffs. I think we have to.

  33. So I had Ebron & Fleener at TE. I dropped Fleener for Graham after someone dropped him. This week Barnidge & Kelce were dropped. Should drop Graham for Kelce? Fleener is still a FA Also. Thanks!

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

@madden_curser: I would drop graham for kelce in a heartbeat

Kelce is a top 5 TE

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@madden_curser: I would. I like Kelce a bit more than Graham going forward.

  34. Nightmare says:
    (link)

Jay-Bird!!! Wassup! Grey told me you are the go to fantasy football expert so prepare yourself for nightmare’s weekly questions my man

    1) who do u think sees a healthy amount of targets once Brady returns…..amendola or hogan

    2) I know you have Desean ranked higher this week but it seems like cousins likes crowder more. Keep Desean over crowder? I read giants D giving up a lot to slot receivers

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nightmare: What up! I would say Amedola slightly, just from past history, but Hogan will play a bigger part several weeks from now I think. And on the second one. I still like Desean here. If we know that, I’m sure the Giants do too and might do some gameplanning on that. I rewatched the WAS game too… he overthrew Desean a few times on open passes, I don’t see that continuing.

  35. Eric says:
    (link)

    Hey Jay,

12-team PPR. I have Ryan Mathews, with Sproles as a handcuff. Sproles hasn’t been doing much in terms of value but has been getting a decent number of snaps, including goal line. Would you start Sproles in flex as the handcuff, or would you rather Tevin Coleman or Coby Fleener?

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Eric: Probably going Coleman there.

  36. Zandy says:
    (link)

    Weird idea
    Bortles
    Hopkins Floyd
    Gurley Ingram
    Flex: Ware
    Kelce
Bench: jCharles, jGordon, rJennings, Sproles, Asiata, Hogan, Dalton

Would you send Jennings, Floyd & Dalton for Cooper, Riddick & Eli?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Yeah, I kinda like this. PPR, right?

      • Zandy says:

@Jay: Stanrd league… does that change your [email protected]Zandy: would u rather swap jgordon for floyd in the deal?

  37. William Hung says:
    (link)

@Jay – I’m going Cruz over Matt Jones in my FLEX. Can’t believe the Redskins are not committing more to the run considering Kirk’s early season play trying to air it out.

Also dropped Corey Coleman for Algohor

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: Well, the problem is they’ve been finding themselves down pretty quickly, so they can’t really spend time establishing the run. I do agree with the Cruz choice here.

  38. vrugg says:
    (link)

Jay, would you trade Lamar Miller and E. Rogers/Hurns/Crowder for A. Foster and Marvin Jones?
    Thanks!

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

      @vrugg: I would not trade lamar miller – he’s a top 5 RB

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@vrugg: I would hold here. I like Jones, but I feel you’re paying too much.

  39. Benny says:

I’m in a 14 team league where you start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 2 flex. I’m stacked at receiver, only have Jeremy Hill left as a healthy RB at this point, and stream Prescott/Wentz at QB. My receiver list is below and am essentially start 4 of them each week due to lack of RB’s.

The Brady owner offered me a package of Brady for Fuller and Watkins. Think I should do it?

    Julio Jones
    Alshon Jeffrey
    Travis Benjamin
    Will Fuller
    Sammy Watkins
    Devante Parker
    Josh Gordon
    Chris Hogan

Also, would you trade Jeffrey and Fuller for Lev Bell? I’m not sure the Bell owner would even do it, so I’m asking about this separately than the Brady trade that is actually on the table.

To sum it up, I know I need to trade because I have way too many WR’s but I’ve had a most unproductive day at work as I beat my head against my desk figuring out what to do. Help me good sir! Thanks!

@Benny: No, I think that’s too expensive. As for the Bell one, I like that, but open a dialogue and see if he’s available.

In an 8-person, 2QB 2Flex, half-PPR, my flex options are Latavius, Gore, Sims, Maclin and Marvin. You have them 40, 41, 43, 44 and 46. So it’s just a huge toss-up right?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Tony: Yeah, haha, pretty much. I think for ceiling, you something like Marvin or Murray, and maybe Gore for something stable.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Tony: I’m probably going Murray though if it’s me.

      • Tony says:

@Jay: I went Marvin-Murray, so glad you agree

Half PPR, have Witten at TE, Eifert just hit the WW. Drop Dion Lewis, Duke Johnson or G. Tate, or hold?

RB – David Johnson, DeAngelo, Mathews, Duke Johnson, Artis-Payne, D. Lewis (best FA are the Ravens and Fozzy)
WR – Dez, Jordy, Tate, J. Gordon (best FA Cruz and Enunwa)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: Hold for now, I think Witten will be okay.

    14team standard:
Would you trade Crowell & M Floyd or Cobb for Amari Cooper?
    With the following:
I have L Miller, Ingram, D Henry as other RB’s
WR’s include Fitz, Cobb, M Floyd, Shepard

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@a bag of sand: Yeah, probably hold on Cobb, but I’d rather have Cooper than Floyd and Crowell.

    12team 0.5 ppr:
Give CJ and get Gurley & Dwayne Allen?
    Current line up includes:
RB: CJ, DeAngelo, R. Mathews, Gore, Asiata
WR: Julio, J Matthews, Marvin, Sammy, M Floyd
    TE: Gates

    Can start 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 TE, 1 W/R and 1 W/R/T

give gurley for lamar miller? i assume yes

    • Jay

@Zandy: I still like Gurley a little more. I haven’t lost too much faith yet.

      • Zandy says:

@Jay: and all my q’s are for standard league so let me know if your view changes on that riddick deal

@Zandy: Oh, it does then, yeah, let me go back and see it again.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Zandy: Man, still a tough one. I like it, but I feel that Theo’s value in standard is a dangerous thing to rely on. That’s what it holding me back here.

          • Zandy says:
            (link)

@Jay: Sub Gore for Theo? (yuck)

              (link)

@Zandy: Other idea is trying Floyd Jennings for Evans Hill ?

separately golden tate or floyd ros?

              • Zandy says:
                (link)

@Zandy: nvm realistically more like Evans and Yeldon – my bad

Does anyone know this answer. I play in an nfl.com fantasy league I made a 3 for 3 trade early in the week trade doesn’t go through until Friday 1 player from the trade plays tonight and is on the guys roster as a starter. LM won’t process early idk why but is what it is. My question is do any of you know what will happen. I suppose trade shouldn’t process until Tuesday if he starts a piece of it in his lineup. That’s really the only way trade would be fair since my players play on Sunday. I have tried contacting nfl without response and will never ever play in another one of their leagues. Thanks to anyone who can help answer this ?

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

@Brian: in yahoo it wouldnt clear until tues – not sure about ur league tho

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian: I think it won’t process until it says, which means you won’t have access to the players until then. But it’s different with every system.

Two close calls for me, would love to get your thoughts:

PPR – Watkins or Michael Thomas as my WR3

Half PPR – McKinnon or Ware (assuming Charles sits) at Flex

    Thanks!

    • Jay

@JimmyJackJames: Ware and Watkins I’m thinking, but double check on Saturday when the next big update comes.

Where should we think about Josh Gordon fitting in when he’s back? Is he in the Maclin, Jarvis, Floyd, Tate range? ihgher? lower?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: I’d say just a tad lower until we see how Kessler does.

holy crap, is Rudy about to be our new IDP guy? i’m seeing his name ranking DB’s at fantasy pros for this week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@goodfold2: Yeah, these are actually his tools doing all that work. He’s fine-tuning it a lot this season, so I’m rooting for him. If we can create a rankings tool that has top results, even in IDP formats, just a great thing for everyone.

  50. Eli Man Penguin Boy says:
    (link)

ok, so in a 12 team drop forsett for mccluster (from above), already dropped abdullah for lewis.
in deep dynasties (PPR) drop ASJ for h.henry (don’t need him this week)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Eli Man Penguin Boy: Yeah, hmm, I kinda like ASJ still, but it’s tough watching him do nothing. I’m not against it here.

      • Eli Man Penguin Boy says:
        (link)

@Jay: it’s not a move that needs to be done, but it is weird that henry got dropped last week (deep league deep rosters), and in next few hours i’m betting he gets added when people see that gates news. TB has been jerking ASJ around.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

Yeah, I hear ya man. I’m with you on grabbing Henry, just to see what happens.

        • Eli Man Penguin Boy says:
          (link)

@Eli Man Penguin Boy: yep, he was actually added 17 minutes before my most recent comment above. 2 minutes before my one to start this thread.

          • Jay

            Jay says:
            (link)

@Eli Man Penguin Boy: That was pretty quick. Might be a big nothing though, so don’t fret.

            • Eli Man Penguin Boy says:
              (link)

@Jay: yeah, this is more about the long term value, i wouldn’t have started him this week anyway, if i needed him that bad he would’ve been waivered by me.

does anybody else get the impression when you hear news of somebody “still being in the “concussion protocol”” that it’s possibly a funhouse with mirrors in which you get lost for periods of time. or a dark cave.

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@goodfold2: not a state of mind, but you are actually shoved into a cave or funhouse and just get lost for an indeterminant period of time. hope they packed you with sandwiches and water or something if you are in there too long.

      • Jay

  56. James says:

I would switch Carson Palmer’s ranking with Carson Wentz’.

Pittsburgh hasn’t had good rushing linebackers since Harrison’s first run with the team. They’ve been getting by this year rushing 4 and have a fast secondary.

As a Steelers fan, you are giving their passing D too much credit.

Or perhaps I’m giving Wentz too much credit, but he seems to play like Roethlisberger and if Steelers rush 4 all day they’ll give up yards by the chunk.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@James: This is probably a big show me game, honestly. For both teams.

      • James says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Agree. If the Steelers are legit they should stomp the Eagles.

If the Wentz is legit, they’ll cover the 3.5 spread and if the Eagles are legit, they’ll win.
