I’m happy to report that Razzball had another great week with rankings. Tehol finished in the top-10 for quarterbacks, and on top of that, Rudy’s Pigskinator was able to rank first for wide receivers. That’s actually pretty amazing. Not only that, but for those of you who play in IDP leagues, Rudy’s projections finished second overall, and achieved top-10 status for both kickers and DSTs! Just some amazing results all around. And while it might seem self-serving when I wax poetic about our accuracy feats, it’s not just because I love talking about myself all the time (call me, ladies), it’s also because our success hopefully translates to our reader’s success. And if not? Then just do what I always do and blame Obama…

Here are your Week 6 Rankings… (Rest of Season rankings have been updated and can be found here!)

Select the “Flex” tab if you need a more complete picture to decide your starts and sits. Use the “OP” tab for 2QB Leagues. And you can access our Half PPR and PPR rankings using the drop down box in the top left of our rankings when you select the RB, WR, TE, or Flex positions. Any and all questions will be answered below…

  2. Dave says:
    (link)

Hey Jay, I’m in a PPR league where we start two RB’s, 3 WR’s, 1 Flex in my league. My RB’s are David Johnson CJ Anderson, Gio, my WR’s are Brandon Marshall, TY Hilton, Jordan Matthews, Terrelle Pryor, Desean Jackson. Who’s a better stash considering my roster Dion Lewis or Corey Coleman I have a roster spot for one of them. Should I also drop Desean Jackson to stash both?

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dave: I think Lewis is. Any PPR league, he should be stashed.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dave: Hold on DJax there, not super encouraged right now with Coleman.

  3. IV says:
    (link)

Definitely contributes to our success, glad you guys are doing well so far! I feel like it has to be difficult to consistently rank every player accurately week in and week out.

Can you give me your thoughts on these Diggs and Lockett going forward? Both have been dealing with injuries, but each had/have their bye week as an extra week of rest.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@IV: Thanks for bringing it up IV, I may focus a bit more next week in what goes into my process. I feel like it’s a lot of work, but then I think to myself: first world problems.

I like Diggs ROS just because he already has a repore with Bradford, and it developed from game one. As for Lockett, I’ve always liked him, but that offense deflates his value.

  4. Eifert Tower says:
    (link)

Deep 14 man league. My question is who to start for my 2 RBs. Using your rankings above I would start

    RB- Jamaal Charles
    RB- Spencer Ware

Does it change things for you that I would be starting both KC RBs? My other RB options are Fozzy Whitaker and Chris Thompson (Doug Martin on bye). Thanks,

    • Eifert Tower says:
      (link)

      [email protected]Eifert Tower:

Or another option would be to try and snag Bobby Rainey when he comes off waivers tomorrow and start him. I’d likely need to drop Fozzy, Chris Thompson or Cole Beasley. Thanks again,

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Eifert Tower: I do like Rainey right now in PPR, but not sure he gets the call over those two guys.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Eifert Tower: Sorta, I usually like to spread it out just in case an entire team gets shutdown. I might go Fozzy instead of Ware, but it’s something to think about. It’s close.

  5. Hometown Heroes says:

    12 team standard scoring.

    ROS- Martin or Michael.

I am looking to upgrade my no.2/3 RB. I have David Johnson, Charles, Powell and Ware and Hopkins, TY, Crabtree, Coates and Enunwa and Flyod as my WR

I’m assuming you would pull the trigger on a Coates and Powell for either of those two mentioned above. Thanks for the help and keep up the great work guys!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Hometown Heroes: Martin, if only because when Rawls comes back, I think they’ll affect each other a bit.

  6. Oppo Taco says:

Coleman and Cobb for A-rob? Seems like a lot. .5ppr

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Oppo Taco: Yeah, but I’m okay with it on the A-Rob side. It’s close enough is what I mean.

  7. a bag of sand says:

    • Jay

@a bag of sand: He’s a good speculative add, but I’d rather have Coates right now.

  8. Cheese says:

You’re killing it man, well done.

16 team auction keeper league 0.5PPR. I’m sitting at 1-4 but have the 3rd highest point total, so I’m definitely not throwing in the towel yet. I started 2-5 last year and made the playoffs, so I’m still holding out hope. Prior to the season started I dealt Jeremy Hill for Emmanuel Sanders.

    QB – Carson Wentz
    WR – TY Hilton
    WR – Jordan Matthews
    WR – Emmanuel Sanders
    RB – Matt Forte
    RB – Carlos Hyde
    TE – Zach Miller
    W/R/T – Robert Woods
    Q/W/R/T – Cody Kessler
    BEN – Jacquizz Rodgers
    BEN – Rashad Jennings
    BEN – Chris Ivory
    IR – Teddy Bridgewater
    IR – Charles Sims

I’m kind of at a point now where I need a second unbiased set of eyes looking at my team. Should I be looking to make any trades? Any thoughts looking at this roster what you would do to improve it?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Cheese: Thanks man, hope it helps everyone! Yeah, you sound like William, another frequent commenter. He has the second highest point total average and is 1-4 too.

I like your team, but it doesn’t have that “elite” guy, which is good in some aspects. I don’t see any obvious upgrades except maybe Matthews. Maybe find an injury-riddled team at WR and offer him and Rodgers for an upgrade. Something like a Hopkins or A-Rob, see what their price is and adjust.

  9. Don Majikowski says:

Start Travis Benjamin vs Broncos or Terrell Pryor vs Titans??

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Don Majikowski: Pryor, but it’s close. The Broncos defense is going to be an uphill battle.

Since they’re so close in rankings, thoughts on TyWill V Coleman? Both facing tough defense, but road game Thurs make TWill look better, or roll dice & see if Eifert is a go with Coleman as safety?

    • Jay

Would u make any moves to the lineup? Mainly cj Anderson or give him another try against SD.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Callmejayp: I’d give him a try against SD, they’re not good against the run.

  14. DiRo says:
    (link)

I am trying to trade for Landry, my WR core took a big hit when Keenan Allen went down. He is looking for a RB and I am thinking of offering Blount or Matthews or Howard. Who should I offer up?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@DiRo: I would try Blount, then Mathews, then Howard.

  15. RonnieMatt says:
    (link)

I need some WR depth but Im just not confident in WR’s as they are so hit or miss. I have La’veon, Lamar miller, CMike, and Howard at RB. I have edelman, demarious thomas, randall cobb, and John brown. Do you like edelman and mike for Mike evans or CMike and edelman for Jordy Nelson? My WR just have been as I expected so Im trying to consoloditae my RB assets for a true WR1. Standard points

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@RonnieMatt: I’m okay with the Evans deal, but I feel like you are paying a bit more here. I’d try to combo Cobb with CMike here.

  16. Zandy says:
    (link)

    Congrats on another great week!
Would you rather roster Forsett or stream marriota or Eli this week?
(Wentz is qb) 5pt passing tds

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Thanks man! I’d take a one week gamble still on Forsett here.

  17. MiggY Cat says:
    (link)

You really are liking Gordon ahead of Lacy this week? Seems lacy is full go and no Starks to vulture. I just can’t seem to trust Gordon and feel good about it.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MiggY Cat: yeah, I think Gordon can do some things. The passing game is what I’m worrying about right now.

  18. JimmyJackJames says:
    (link)

Thanks for churning out the rankings each week Jay, appreciate what you do.

Half pt PPR and in a tough spot due to timing – Jordan Reed is my regular TE but with him possibly having a concussion, do I play it safe and start Gates tonight or hold until Sunday and pickup Jesse James on Sunday?

    Thanks man

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@JimmyJackJames: Thanks for being a part of the community! I’d say hold, I’m not sure what to expect from Gates.

      • JimmyJackJames says:
        (link)

@Jay: Thank you – to clarify, you’re leaning towards the Jesse James route, correct?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@JimmyJackJames: Yeah, or streaming whatever is better… honestly, I’m starting Gates where I own him, but I can’t tell if that’s the wise thing, or the Chargers fan thing… I’m pretty nervous.

          • JimmyJackJames says:
            (link)

@Jay: Thanks man – I’m a longtime Gates guy but I worry now he’s entirely TD dependent. Henry looks solid and Antonio obviously isn’t moving around as well as he was a few years ago. You know Rivers loves him in the red zone but I worry about those games where he doesn’t catch a TD…

  19. IrishGuy says:
    (link)

Grabbed Wentz to sub in for Rivers but Tyrod on waivers. Our league has no negative deductions, Wentz, Dak or Taylor higher floor?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@IrishGuy: For this week? Tyrod. ROS? Probably Wentz, then Dak.

      • IrishGuy says:
        (link)

@Jay: yeah just this week because I own Rivers but wanted Wentz due to his week 8 match up with Dallas because Rivers plays Denver again that week. Kind of complex but gotta think ahead being 2-3

  20. Toby says:
    (link)

You guys are killing it all season. Keep up the great work.

I’m in a 12-team standard league and stacked at RB with Bell, DJ, Forte, C-Mike, and Ware but I am struggling at other positions:

    QB – Palmer, Bortles
    WR – Cooper, Landry, Hurns
    TE – Barnidge, Eiffert
    DST – Streaming

Would you recommend moving one of the studs to firm up some of my weaknesses? Or should I stay firm, stream when needed, and reap the benefits of having the 2 best players in the game?

If you think the trade route is the way to go, who would you rather lose between Bell and DJ and what sort of package should I go after?

Your thoughts are much appreciated as always.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Toby: Thanks man! Yeah, I might try to package CMike and Hurns from something. Maybe check to see how much Hopkins or ARob is. Maybe even a smaller upgrade like Hurns and a TE for Diggs.

      • Toby says:
        (link)

@Jay: I actually forgot that I have Diggs and Martin sitting on my bench. LOL

I’ve tried packaging guys like CMike, Forte and/or Hurns but no one is biting. Maybe I’m asking for too much. But my question was whether I should ever consider trading Bell or DJ.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Toby: Haha, such a good move, you already did it.

Bell, no, DJ? Eh, I don’t think so either. Honestly, I would just kinda try to augment the edges, keep that core together. (I have the same core in the BTR Podvader league, it’s potent as fudge yo.)

          • Toby says:
            (link)

@Jay: Yeah. I sort of feel the same way. Just wanted to hear your thoughts. Thanks again.

              @Toby: Any time man!

  21. John says:
    (link)

You guys are a big reason I am 4-1 right now. Thank you! For a flex position (standard scoring) you would play Forte, J Matthews, and then W Fuller in that order? I was excited about playing Fuller this week against Indy, but you think Forte and J Matthews outscore him? I’ve been frustrated by Forte the last few weeks with just a handful of points and J Matthews hasn’t received the targets the last couple weeks. I have all 3 and 2 will be on the bench this week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@John: Great to hear! Thanks for being here yo! Yes, that’s the order I have them at I believe. I do like Fuller against the Colts, but just see better results from Forte there. Fuller over Matthews is okay I think.

  22. TOGMAN says:
    (link)

    12 team Half PPR

Buy low on DeAndre Hopkins? I sense the owner would like to trade him. What would be a decent buy low offer? Or should I stay away?

    QB: Rivers, Winston
WR: M. Jones, Crabtree, Sanders, Wallace
RB: Bell, McCoy, Lacy, McKinnon, Bernard
    TE: Gronkowski, Fleener

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@TOGMAN: Yeah, I would. Maybe try Crabtree and McKinnon?

Not sure about Gordon vs broncos
    Thx

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Adam: I’m nervous too, but in std, I’m slightly going Gordon here. Fuller is the second choice for you here though, so don’t be afraid to go that direction… it’s a crapshoot all around.

  24. Scott says:
    (link)

Jay, I think you’ll enjoy this little news snippet:

FOXBOROUGH, MA – Tom Brady is back from his four-game suspension and the Patriots quarterback said he has never been more motivated to silence his critics.

“I’m a competitive guy. I always have been,” he said. “But I think you all know I was playing with an extra chip on my shoulder in 2007 after all the SpyGate stuff. Well, you haven’t seen anything yet. Trust me. This time I want it even more. I think that every time you get caught cheating, you want to play even better when you get back just to try to shut people up and make them forget about the cheating because they doubt you more and more after every scandal, you know?”

Brady’s teammates say they already notice a certain look in his eyes and an energy and purpose with which he has been carrying himself since arriving back with the team early Monday morning.

“I know that look,” said receiver Julian Edelman. “It means he’s –”

“Hit on a great new cheating idea?” said tight end Rob Gronkowski, standing nearby and attempting to finish his teammate’s sentence.

“Rob! No! Not in front of a reporter, man,” chided Edelman. “Anyway, where was I … oh, right. Tom being really motivated to win – without cheating, of course – and shove it down everyone’s throat.”…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Scott: Haha, honestly, I love hating on the Patriots for laughs, but Gronk always cracks me up. I think if you are looking at that team objectively, Brady and Edelman are pretty much the only assholes personality wise. Even Belichek has a certain charm.

  25. William Hung says:
    (link)

Any chance we can get Bear / Bull on Tuesdays, the day before waivers are processed? It would’ve worked out this week to see another opinion on Meredith since both you and [email protected] were on the tentative side of things.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: We used to have it on Tuesdays, but some content was getting lost in the ether. I might revert back to that though, since Tuesdays are the biggest day of the week besides the gamedays… something I’ll keep looking at for sure though.

  26. Sano Chance in Hell says:
    (link)

Non-PPR league. My team is deep at RB, but struggling at WR. Thoughts on the following offer:

    My team:

    RB: David Johnson, Lamar Miller
    WR: Marvin Jones, Randall Cobb
    Flex: LeGarrette Blount

Bench: Isaiah Crowell, Spencer Ware, Kenneth Dixon, Sterling Shepard, Cam Meredith

Offer: My Lamar Miller and Shepard for his Allen Robinson and Christine Michael

    Thoughts?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Sano Chance in Hell: I think you can do better. To be honest, I think you could try something like Cobb and Blount for Robinson. Or maybe see what players they are interested and keep me updated.

      • Sano Chance in Hell says:
        (link)

@Jay: Not sure I have much flexibility. He’s declined all offers involving Blount and Crowell and says he really wants Miller. I actually offered this to him a few days ago, which he rejected, but now he just reoffered it. I love Miller’s schedule going forward, but also a big believer in Michael, which is why I’m strongly considering taking the upgrade at WR with A Rob.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Sano Chance in Hell: Yeah, I think it’s fair, but I’d really want Miller’s side here. If these are the cards you’re dealt though, I think it’s okay.

            @Jay: Fair enough, thanks!

why so negative on Wentz in the ROS rankings?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: You’re right, I may have messed that one up. He’s supposed to be above Winston, where Rivers is, but Rivers is supposed to be higher, should be updated in a few minutes.

Kessler is going to be at QB – Tennessee is still a good streamer this week? I also read on numberfire that Detroit is a good play as well. I currently have KC D filling in. Swap out for Tennessee?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: I think it’s interesting that Pryor is taking some QB reps… could mean nothing though too. Either way, it’s actually hard depending on Titans’ personnel even in a favorable matchup. Probably sticking KC or Detroit there. Edge to Detroit right now.

      • William Hung says:

@Zandy: I read about it on reddit, how all the projections are finding metrics that show they are legit. I’m not so sure here. I think I have them at 18 this week.

  30. William Hung says:
    (link)

Just looked at your rankings accuracy – how are you so low in TEs? Can’t you just rank Olsen, Reed, Gronk, Bennett, and Walker in the top 5 and be done with it? Everyone else is a crap shoot with Fleener, Barnidge, and Pitta somewhere in the top 10…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: Haha, fair enough. I should try it. I had a good couple of weeks, but have been falling behind a little. Can’t really pinpoint it, but I’ll be trying extra hard this week to adjust for that.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: it’s amazing how high you rank at the other positions on average, but TE falls behind by SO much!

I wish I could use these rankings to identify weekly sleepers, but in 12 team leagues with 6 bench spots, even top 40 RBs/WRs are rostered… I wish there was a way to identify the “Cameron Merediths” and “Jordan Howards” before they actually break out during the season

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@William Hung: I think that would involve super powers. And some luck probably.

    .5 ppr league

My RBs David Johnson, Melvin Gordon, Jordan Howard, Derrick Henry, andre Ellington.

My WRs (we start 3): Hopkins, Hilton, fuller, Shepard, hogan, Meredith, Corey Coleman.

On my two IR spots I have moncrief & Watkins

Based on my team would you rather package Shepard + Meredith for Doug Martin?

Or package Shepard + Meredith for Doug Baldwin

Or lastly if any of those don’t work how would you feel about Shepard for jerrick McKinnon or would I have to throw in Meredith too for McKinnon?

TE question: I have Rudolph on bye which leaves my with Witten (at GB). On my bench I also have Dwayne Allen too

Available TEs: Julius Thomas (at bears)

    Jesse James (@ Miami)

I see your ranks are low on rivers & Matt Ryan I was planning starting Ryan but I looked at the weather its supposed to be a rainy mess Sunday (is Seattle a dome or reg stadium?) if it’s an open air & the weather will be a mess would you look else where?

If so Alex smith is there & he’s at OAK

    Fitzpatrick at Arizona

    Flacco @ Giants

    Or wentz at Washington

@Joe cool: Oh, thanks man, had no idea I missed it. Let’s see, I like the Martin one better. On the Shep deal, should be enough, I wouldn’t pay any more than that though. And there’s no roof, but it’ll probably be light rain. Double check with Tehol though, he lives there. But I’m probably sticking with Ryan.

    Yoooo

Should I start Sammie Coates or Willie Snead? I ask because Snead has done jack in his previous 2 games – I know he’s got brees throwing to him but Coates is trending up and I really gotta start winning my games lol (currently 2-3).

    Thanks again!

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@brapbrapbrapbrap1: Snead is what I’m feeling, but I think you make a good point that Coates could have the ceiling here. I’m comfortable with both, they are pretty close.

Manning, Mariota or Cousins the rest of year?

      Jay says:

      Manning.

What’s up! in a predicament. 10 team 2 qb ppr league.

this week I feel like I have a lot of plus matchups but not enough starting spots.

    right now I have….

    Cousins
    Fitzpatrick
    OBJ
    Jordy
    C. Michael
    C.J.
    Graham
    Sanders

currently have Gronk, Gernard, Riddick, and Snead on my bench.

the biggest issue is Gronk or Graham? think i’m making the right play here? also what would you package for a QB? I could see selling Graham right now since he’s playing so well and pair him with Snead for a legit QB? Thanks again!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

Yeah, package Graham here and see what you can get while his value is pretty strong.

Looks like I might be getting back both Jennings and Foster this week. How should I approach this week in .5 PPR? My options are:

Jennings, Foster, DeAndre Washington, Matt Jones… I sent out a couple of trade offers trying to flip DeVante Parker for a RB like J-Stew or Crowell. Not sure if either owner would go for it, but they do need WR help.

    Or allen against texans?
    Its pretty close for me.

@Saints: Me too, probably Allen though.

Great job by Chargers D making me look stupid for picking McManus so far. I think you missed my RB question above :( :(

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@William Hung: I’m sure they’ll find a way to ef it all up.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: so back to my question regarding my terrible RBs. Which 2 should I roll with this week among Jennings, Foster, DeAndre Washington, Matt Jones

This is how amazingly awful my team is, and I seriously mean amazing… I scored 116 last week with only my QB accounting for TDs (Stafford – 3). I still put up points without any of my WRs, RBs, or TEs hitting pay dirt.

I don’t think I’ve ever had that before. Usually when I’ve gone TD-less from those positions, I’m scoring fewer than 90.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@William Hung: Hmm, I’m starting Jennings if he’s going I think. Either Matt Jones or Foster, depending on anything breaking.

          Yeah, that’s some crazy stuff.

          • William Hung says:
            (link)

@Jay: Chargers D is terrible they said, Broncos D is awesome they said, McManus should get more chances than Lambo they said… ’tis the life this season

            • Jay

              Jay says:
              (link)

@William Hung: To be fair, that was a couple feet from a max point total from a field goal.

              • William Hung says:
                (link)

@Jay: yeah, but I doubt McManus gets another shot to kick FGs the rest of the game. Broncos have at most 2 more offensive possessions and they can’t move the ball at all

  41. William Hung says:
    (link)

Changing the subject here – what are your thoughts on the Broncos running game? Is Devontae Booker now relevant? Is CJ Anderson a buy-low?

Would the Broncos end up with a similar situation in Oakland right now?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: I think CJ’s had two big runs taken from a holding call, so I think it’s still mostly CJ.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: I haven’t been watching the game so that’s good to know. I wonder if I can buy him low then if he’s not putting up numbers

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@William Hung: Yeah, he got stolen by another flag late in the game too on another TD.

2 QB dynasty with 2 flexes and start 2 RB/3 WR.
    QB rodgers/rodfather/osweiler/mccown
    RB mathews/smallwood/mckinnon/ivory/forte/ingram
    WR edelman/d-jax/jordy/treadwell/crowder
    TE j.thomas/ertz
    IR k.allen/woodhead
this week will probably drop crowder to stream an IDP guy (we have a 4 flex IDP roster), then go back to crowder or kerley or somebody else.

somebody just dropped decker (we have 2 IR’s). i’m guessing from age i’m better off keeping woodhead/allen over decker, or are my WR weak enough that i should drop woodhead or decker?

Question about my 10 man PPR league

Who should I start at RB this week?
    RB – Freeman
    RB – Ware

    Bench – Jennings

Free agents – Duke Johnson, Artemis-Payne, Bobby Rainey

To get one of the free agents, I would have to drop Meredith…he’s on my bench

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Old Dirty: Leaning Freeman. Hold on Meredith another week.
