Top 150 For 2011 Fantasy Football

DocAugust 13, 2011 Category: 2011 Fantasy Football, 2011 Fantasy Football Rankings, Fantasy Football Daily Notes

(EDIT: Here are the most up to date rankings –>  Auction Values, Tiers and Cheat Sheet for PPR – http://su.pr/A17UuB NonPPR – http://su.pr/9DEgIM)

Overall Rankings are probably less accurate than tiers because as your drafts go along what you need won’t always correspond with the rankings, but I know that some people like overall rankings and having lists like this just seems right for some reason! So here are the top 150 for Non-PPR. I was going to do 200, but the end of the rankings are so volatile that it seemed like a disservice to even put them up. I change the bottom of these rankings more often than a babies diaper! Bah-doomp-gross.

You can see some blurbs on the top fitty here.

The numbers in parentheses are aggregate ADP numbers to give you some idea of where these dudes are being picked in drafts.

Great rankings. One thing that surprised me was how low Malcolm Floyd was. At the lowest I see him around 78, similar value to Meachem.

Not concerned about the loss of Vonta Leach for Foster?

  3. # 3 Berserc Says:

Using a little spreadsheet crunching, here are the guys you think are going on average two or more rounds too early:

    Daniel Thomas
    Sam Bradford
    Michael Crabtree
    Joe Flacco
    Mike Williams (SEA)
    Jeremy Maclin
    Cedric Benson
    Ryan Mathews
    Zach J. Miller
    Marques Colston
    Matt Cassel
    Johnny Knox
    Jonathan Stewart
    BenJarvus Green-Ellis

I agree with everyone on this list except Daniel Thomas.

Any news about the RB situation in Cincy? I don’t see why they keep relying on Benson

i’m in a 14 team league that overvalues qbs – if you want a decent qb you would have to take eli/stafford/freeman in round 6 at latest. what would your draft strategy be (in terms of getting a good qb) in a league like this?

  6. # 6 djbooyah20 Says:

Just drafted last night. How did I do and what moves do I need to make to win my league? PPR league, qb, wr, wr, rb, rb, wr/rb, te, k, def.

In order of my selection ( btw this is a keeper league as you should notice by the steals and deals. ) So many guys got kept, it was insane.

    Roddy White
    Matt Forte
    Brandon Marshall
    Jahvid Best
    Kenny Britt
    Felix Jones
    Vincent Jackson – K
    Owen Daniels
    Eli Manning
    Darren McFadden – K
    Mike Thomas
    Danny Amendola
    Michael Vick – K
    Zach Miller
    Kyle Orton
    Nate Burleson

My buddy, who had keepers of Arian Foster as a 10th rounder, and Ray Rice as a 7th, also got the #1 pick this year…and took Adrian of course!! He is offering me either Arian or Ray Rice for my Roddy White. I’m very hesitant to do it, 1. Because he is my clear cut stud WR and 2. Because he is loaded either way, but I’m not sure I want to hand him a stud WR as well. But he’ll probably end up dealing one of his RBs to someone else if I pass up on it, because his WRs are Steve Smith x2, AJ Green, Mike Williams, Driver, etc.

Sorry, Ray Rice cost him a 3rd rounder this year, and Foster was a 8th for him.

    Doc August 14th, 2011 at 3:12 pm

    @Berserc: looks about right.

@Tom the Niner: Benson is the guy.

@abe: I’d take Romo in the third.

  9. # 9 exactly Says:
    August 14th, 2011 at 3:14 pm

    Justin Forsett at 113, really?

  10. # 10 Doc Says:
    Doc August 14th, 2011 at 3:22 pm

@djbooyah20: Well, it looks very solid. As far as the trade, it is hard to pass up Arian for Roddy. You drop at WR talent pretty far from White to BMarsh, but do go from Best to Foster. If you could trade McFadden for a top receiver maybe? It’s not cut and dry by any means.

  11. # 11 JTin Says:
    August 14th, 2011 at 4:10 pm

Keeper league, keep two (lose first two picks)
    Calvin Johnson
    Roddy White
    Frank Gore

I like Johnson/White the best of the 3 (as do you) – tired of having Gore and his 12-games-a-year stats. Would you WR/WR at the “top” of the draft?

Everyone else is keeping RB & QB, so it seems I may be forced to keep Gore just to protect some value at the position. Thoughts?

  12. # 12 Dingo Says:
    August 14th, 2011 at 5:17 pm

    Hey Doc,

I’m forced to keep Mendy, Wallace and Bradshaw. Luckily with the first pick I can get DMC, Austin or Romo. Do I ride your Romo love or take the safe DMC pick?

    Thanks as always, great stuff

  13. # 13 Dingo Says:
    August 14th, 2011 at 5:32 pm

    Sorry it’s a 12 man standard league

  14. # 14 Doc Says:
    Doc August 14th, 2011 at 7:10 pm

    @Dingo: I’d go DMC.

  15. # 15 Doc Says:
    Doc August 14th, 2011 at 7:19 pm

@JTin: I’d feel fine with WR/WR there. If your options are insanely slim at RB like you said Gore might be the safer bet, but I think I’d just risk it.

  16. # 16 John Says:
    August 14th, 2011 at 9:04 pm

    14 team league

Standard yahoo scoring except we only start 2 WR and have a flex spot W/R/T

If the first round fell where the top Players on the board are as follows who do you take:

    RB: Gore, Forte, MJD, Greene,
    WR: CJ, Roddy, Fitz, Nicks
    QB: Brees, Brady, Rivers

What do you take at the turn? Ive been taking MJD and a top WR that is left from the group above. Thoughts?

  17. # 17 John Says:
    August 14th, 2011 at 9:08 pm

forgot to say this was for the 13th and 15th pick

  18. # 18 JTin Says:
    August 14th, 2011 at 9:15 pm

If I go WR/WR with my two keepers…and I have the 12th pick…I’m projecting my RB1 will be in the S.Greene/J.Best level. I’m targeting Romo with one pick at that turn (36/37)…so would you rather have:
    1. Cal.Johnson + R.white + romo + J.Best. Or
    2. Cal.Johnson + f.gore + romo+ best avail rb/WR?

My projections say that gore + best + WR2 in the 2nd scenario is a better pair than r.white + best + RB2 in the former….

  19. # 19 Doc Says:
    Doc August 14th, 2011 at 10:10 pm

@John: MJD finally practiced fully, but I’m still worried about him for the season, but he of course has the upside of a top 5 back. I’d probably rather go with a receiver at 13 and then Forte/Gore if they are there.

In PPR I’d go White, in non-PPR I’d go Gore

  20. # 20 Coteman Says:
    August 16th, 2011 at 7:52 am

Who do you like picking #6 in a 12-team, non-PPR league- Mendy, McCoy, Turner, or Andre?

  21. # 21 Doc Says:
    Doc August 16th, 2011 at 12:54 pm

    @Coteman: I like Mendy there.

  22. # 22 Charlie Says:
    August 17th, 2011 at 10:37 am

    Hi Doc,

Starting 1QB (6pts per TD), 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 WR/TE, 1 DEF and 1K standard league. Please help me by looking at team roster:
Joe Flaco, Matt Cassel, Jason Campbell
Matt Forte, Mark Ingram, M. Lynhch, Willis McGahee, Delone Carter
Calvin Johnson, Steve Johnson, Kenny Britt, Jacoby Ford
    Jared Cook, Fred Davis
    Garrett Hartley and Atlanta D
Should I stay put or make trade like below:
Steve Johnson and M. Lynch for R. White or
Steve Johnson and Matt Forte for Darren McFadden

  23. # 23 Doc Says:
    Doc August 17th, 2011 at 11:10 pm

@Charlie: I would make that first trade, but not the second. I’d like to upgrade at QB if at all possible.

CJ4.24 on the list at 4 and 8.
