If you start your 2023 draft by loading up on RB or take a flier on Travis Kelce and/or QB early, the names below will await your selection in Round 5+. Take the discount on these WRs, knowing that your roster will not suffer due to not paying up for the likes of Jefferson, Chase, Kupp, Tyreek, Davante, etc. Below you’ll find 10 wide receiver values after round 4.

Next to each name is the current ADP as of August 13, 2023, which you can find here: Consensus 2023 Fantasy Football ADP (razzball.com)

Terry McLaurin (50)

Christian Watson (52)

Tyler Lockett (66)

Drake London (54)

Mike Williams (60)

George Pickens (80) / Diontae Johnson (68)

Brandon Aiyuk (62)

Chris Godwin (57) / Mike Evans (71)

Michael Pittman, Jr. (74)

Marquise Brown (76)

Stay with me here, as I will get a little crazy. Even if you pass on the top five names from the list above (McLaurin, Watson, London, Godwin, M. Williams), you can still line up with a deep WR corps consisting of Brandon Aiyuk (28 picks after Deebo), Tyler Lockett (36 picks after D.K.), Mike Evans (1,000 yards in 9 straight seasons to start his career; 14 picks after Godwin), and one of the Pittsburgh pass catchers (Pickens is the guy Kenny Pickett appears to love and target hog Dionate Johnson will score more than zero TDs in 2023; mark it down).

My point is getting your lineup card filled out with one of the alpha QBs (Mahomes, Hurts, Allen), RBs you trust, and Kelce or Andrews because you have time to make up WR points in Rounds 5-6-7 is absolutely an option. The key is entering your draft with a clear-cut plan and clearly defining player tiers. Your ability to pivot when necessary will allow you to build the best possible roster. Consider zigging while the others are zagging.

Here is a quick look at how a well-crafted tier list, draft plan, and execution could look when considering and leveraging those mid-round WRs assuming a mid-round pick in the 6-9 range :

Round 1 – Bijan Robinson

Round 2 – Derek Henry

Round 3 – Josh Allen

Round 4 – Mark Andrews

Think you can live with that start, followed by this roster after Round 7:

QB – Josh Allen

RB – Bijan Robinson

RB – Derek Henry

WR – Brandon Aiyuk

WR – Mike Evans

TE – Mark Andrews

FLEX – Tyler Lockett

Not only can you live with it, but you can also thrive with it. Create your tiers. Make a plan. Stick to it. Own your league!
