Hello everyone, and welcome to another installment of my player profile series, where are I take a look at a some NFL players and sort them into three categories: underrated, overrated, and sleepers. Today, let's take a look at the leader of an offense who I think could be the biggest surprise offenses in the NFL, the Detroit Lions, and its leader, Matthew Stafford.

Football season has started the same way for the last two seasons for me.  I spend a weekend in July binge watching Last Chance U.  If you haven’t seen this masterpiece, it’s a Hard Knocks style show that follows a season of the best college football team that you’ve never heard of, East Mississippi Community College.  This football program, led by controversial head coach Buddy Stephens, snatches up a lot of the highly recruited SEC players who have been kicked off of their respective programs for failed drug tests, bad grades, and violent behavior.  Whether these guys deserve a second chance is up to the viewer to decide, but I dare you not to get sucked into this show about a team in Mississippi trying to win its fourth national title in six years...
An introduction to a gentleman who needs no introduction.... He's a staff writer at NFL.com, a writer at footballguys.com, and the creator of Reception Perception and Back Yard Banter. Matt Harmon joins me for a solid 40-minute conversation about wide receivers, weight loss, and his love/hate relationship with the Carolina Panthers. Zach joins me for a few minutes at the end of the episode to talk about a wild couple of days in news and what else we have in store for our readers and listeners in the coming weeks! I hope you enjoy this as much as we did...

Even though I'm not one to pat myself on the back (actually, I am), Razzball has been on an upward curve, bringing some sort of conglomerate synergistic metamorphosis (as they say in the corporate world), providing you an ever-improving ranking accuracy year after year. How do we do it? No clue. It could be dark wizardry. It could be indigestion. It could even be your mother. But I have to admit, this year is going to be daunting, if only because the expectations we've placed on ourselves here at Razzball Football are at an all time high (just like my college years). Going from 31st overall to 22nd in Weekly Fantasy Football accuracy is one thing. But going from 22nd to the top-10 in the entire nation last season is quite another. And then on top of that, to finish third overall in our Draft Rankings last year... well, it'd be folly to try and say "Yes, we're going to try even more, (more better if you believe in remedial English)", but yeah, I'm going to say it... We're going to do more better. (My English teacher just placed a bounty on me.) With that said, and my parentheses key broken, here are your 2017 Fantasy Football IDP Linebacker Rankings...

After publishing my first post on Razzball, I wanted to also offer my selection for the most overrated player in upcoming fantasy football drafts as Drew Brees. While Brees has been the model of excellence while quarterbacking the New Orleans Saints by averaging between 21 and 24 standard fantasy points per game since 2012, he is entering his 17th year in the NFL at age 38. For over a decade, Brees has had the pleasure of playing in a division with historically weak defenses while playing 10+ games per year in temperature controlled domes with an offensive mastermind calling the shots and incredibly talented weapons catching his touchdown passes. However, in the past 3 seasons, Brees has lost favorite targets such as Jimmy Graham, Brandin Cooks, and Marques Colston. Down the stretch of 2016, Brees only had a 7-to-7 TD:INT ratio in the final 5 games of the season, which was a main reason that the New Orleans Saints barely missed the playoffs with a 7-9 record. While the addition of Adrian Peterson to team up with Mark Ingram in the running game should take some of the onus off of Brees to carry the team on his back for another season, a stronger commitment to the running game would also limit red-zone touchdown and overall yardage production for the prolific quarterback.

Hello everyone! We are back with another episode of the Razzblitz podcast, this time with new full-time member Uncle Daddy Tehol Beddict as we all discuss some news around the league, such as the possible suspension of Ezekiel Elliott, rumors of players going to new destinations, and the mess that is the Washington backfield. Then we dive into position battles to keep an eye out for these next few weeks in Training Camp, before wrapping it out with some great news about the site (Spoiler Alert: Jay finished Top-3 in 2016 Draft Rankings! Three cheers!). Enjoy!
We are approaching the beginning of the Fantasy Football preseason. SURPRISE! And as it usually goes, there are Fantasy Football Rankings all over the place and everything else like strategy, auction values, projections, etc. will be falling into place soon... except for one big thing (that’s what she said). Your potential team name remains the one true mystery that must be solved! Be the Sherlock of your league. Don’t be the Dr. Watson. I mean, do be a doctor if you can, that seems like an admirable profession that pays well. More like: don’t be the “Watson” part. Actually, you know what? Being Martin Freeman isn’t that bad either, since he received millions to star in a plethora of The Hobbit movies with a guy who wears spandex and ping-pong balls as a living. So, actually, you can be both those guys AND have an amazing team name. That’s what I’m trying to say. I think...

Along with the two sophomore quarterbacks that are sparking a lot of Fantasy Football interest, there were a few free-agent moves that are going to shake things up as we build our rosters in August.  We have a few new veteran receivers in this division and a veteran name at running back that’s going to make the Philadelphia backfield situation confusing.  Also, there’s a rookie running back in Washington who is looking to take a chunk out of the backfield work.  I’m going to quit burying the lead and get the damn thing started. Before we get into the NFC East, I want to take a paragraph and congratulate Jay, Grey, and Rudy for their Top-3 (TOP EFFING THREE!) finish in Fantasy Football draft rankings for FantasyPros last season.  These guys have been at it for years making Razzball not only one of the best fantasy baseball sites, but also one of the best fantasy football sites.  Keep telling your friends about us, the results from our content speaks volumes when you see stuff like this.

Rejoice, for Jay has broken months of podcast silence to discuss his rankings and Razzball's favorite show... GAME OF THRONES! Tehol questions why I question Jay's rankings, but I don't. I just want to learn how to be a top-10 Fantasy Football ranker in the country (top-20 the past two years). We talk Drew Brees, Kirk Cousins, Kelvin Benjamin, Jordy Nelson, and O.J. Howard with Tehol chiming in with his clever wit and boyish charm. As we are obligated to do, we spend a few minutes on the O.J. Simpson infatuation that hasn't stopped sweeping the nation for 25-ish years. Then we get to the good stuff... Sansa vs. Jon Snow, mispronouncing Ed Shereen's name, and what the future holds for one of the best shows on television. My apologies for my cat screaming in the background. He is, in fact, not abused, he just really hates our new puppy and wants the world to know. What would a Razzball podcast be without a little #productionvalue?
