Fantasy Football Podcast: Week 7 Review – Eggs Over Pulled Hammies

B_Don and Donkey Teeth are back after most of week 7 is in the books (just waiting on MNF). Missing the double header from last week, but we take a look at the happenings from week 7. 

Chris Carson left the game with a mild foot injury so we talk about where Carlos Hyde might rank among potential waiver wire targets. Speaking of injuries, we look at the Cardinals RB situation following Kenyan Drake and our expectations for Chase Edmonds.

The guys move on to talk about the Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott. Should you be concerned ROS for Zeke? Where does he fit in among RBs? DT and B_Don let you know their opinions. 

Next, the OBJ injury was tough, and what kind of FAAB we might be dropping on potential replacements for the Browns. We both scoff at the idea that the offense will be better without OBJ as some have suggested. Speaking of tough Ohio WR situations, we discuss where A.J. Green and Tee Higgins fit in among WRs. 

Moving on to an equally cloudy situation B_Don asks DT if it’s time that we can trust D’Andre Swift. We wrap up with a quickfire of questions about Rob Gronkowski, Josh Allen, and where Tua Tagovailoa fits in at QB for the rest of the season.

Back this week after a brief hiatus last week while I was traveling. Plus, the weird Tuesday Night Football schedule threw off the whole week. It’s like somebody pissed on the rug, but while still leaving a stain, the piss smelled like roses. Because it was awesome having TuNF and a doubleheader this week on MNF. Anyway, you don’t care, and have probably stopped or never read the intro, so, on to the tight end rankings.

Fantasy Football Podcast – Rookies Gone Wild, Week 6 Review

B_Don and Donkey Teeth are back to review week 6 as they await the double header of Monday Night Football. We start by going over some injuries and talk about their replacements legitimacy. The Eagles continue to lose offense weapons with Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz possibly missing time. Raheem Mostert was off to a hot start before going down with an ankle injury (we now know it was a high ankle sprain and he’s likely heading to the IR). Then, we talk about Baker Mayfield’s “benching” and how we view the young QB moving forward. 

Speaking of young players, the guys talk move on to discuss the NFL ROY and the fantasy football ROY. Plenty of candidates from James Robinson, Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Herbert, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and more. We finish up the show talking about some potential waiver wire targets and where they rank among some of the other big performers from week 6. The two discuss the Bengals WR situation, the Lions and Ravens RB situation, Travis Fulgham, Tee Higgins, Preston Williams, and o yeah, we talk about Le’Veon.

Fantasy Football Podcast: Dak’ed Down, Week 5 Review

Donkey Teeth is back to discuss week 5 with B_Don. Dak Prescott is down for the season and the guys discuss what it means for the receiving threats, Ezekiel Elliott, and where Andy Dalton fits in with some of the other possible FA QBs. Dalton Schultz was a big riser last week for B_Don, but the TE may be falling as the TE position seems harder to find each week. 

We discuss the Dalvin Cook injury and where Alexander Mattison fits in for week 6. We move on to talk about some of the big performances from week 5 in Chase Claypool, Henry Ruggs, and Travis Fulgham. B_Don asks DT about a couple statements from his week 5 recap article where he says Miles Sanders is a 1st rounder and Calvin Ridley is a WR1 all season.

Had it right in the pre-season. Tried to get cute the first couple of weeks and do some promoting, but these are the guys that I trust. 

  • Travis Kelce has the 11th most targets in the league and the 7th most receptions. He’s elite and in the best (ok, 4th best by the numbers, but you know what I mean) offense in football, no worries. 
  • After a minor injury and a precautionary week off, it sounds like Kittle is ready to return.

Set it and forget it. These are the TEs I’d be trading for if you don’t want to just live the stream at TE. 

  • George Kittle may not play this week due to lingering injury concerns plus MetLife field concerns. Even missing another week, I’d still take him as my #2 TE for the rest of the season. 
  • Darren Waller gets the official bump to the elites after 16 targets in week 2. 12 receptions on 16 targets, *moving on up…*.
  • Of course, 1 week after I put Mark Andrews into the top tier, he disappoints, but last year’s track record and his connection with LJax keep him here for now.

We take a half time break from Monday Night Football as B_Don and Donkey Teeth are joined by the great Rudy Gamble to talk about the fantasy hangover that was week 2. We start with the elite RBs that went down in Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey. We discuss their replacements and how much fantasy value we expect them to provide. 

We walk through the Chargers week 2 situation between Joshua Kelley taking carries and Justin Herbert getting the start. The Broncos offense could look different with a backup QB and sans Courtland Sutton. Rudy has some thoughts on how the offenses may vary if it’s Herbert or Tyrod starting in the coming weeks. 

We wrap up the show with some waiver wire adds for each position that we like for your week 3 help.

Fantasy Football Podcast: Week 1 Reactions and Waivers

B_Don and Donkey Teeth are back to discuss the happenings in week 1, some possible situation changes, and go over @Al_FF_Red’s waiver wire article. After we compare our top picks with Boof’s top pickups, we go over some contract talk with Allen Robinson and RBs getting paid. Then, we get into our observations for week 1. 

We start at QB  with Kyler putting up points in week 1. Then, we look at some established QBs that struggled in Carson Wentz, Tom Brady, and Ryan Fitzpatrick and discuss our level of concern on each. 

Next, both hosts admit to being wrong on Clyde Edwards-Helaire. They discuss what takeaways there might be from that match up, and one of the hosts is slightly higher on him than the other. Austin Ekeler and Nick Chubb both disappointed in week 1 and we talk about some realistic expectations for the rest of the season.

The guys start the WR discussion by answering a listener question regarding D.J. Moore. Both of the hosts remain positive on Preston Williams before looking into the Giants WR breakdown. Is it Quintez Cephus time or was it just an adjustment sans Kenny Golladay? 

We wrap up the show on the back end with tight ends. B_Don asks DT if he’s ready to move Andrews into his elite tier at the position. The guys discuss some young TE performances from week 1 and look at the potential for trading and streaming the TE position early in the season as your competitors are scrambling and panicking.
